They left me with a putrid smell all over my house from the Clobber which I later found out was sulfuric acid. My stainless steel sink was ruined from the acid and some had been spilled on my brand new front load waher. And all of my supplies from under the sink were in the middle of the kitchen. I had three disgusting sopping wet towels. Smelling the acid odor caused my face to swell and my eyes were very red. Who knows where my bucket went and the rubber gloves that I loaned them for working with the acid were laying on the counter. They took my money and their b*** cracks, though. Also, my drain was still stopped up...I then called another plumber who came out on the same day. Using his equipment and asking me for nothing, my drain was cleared in about 45 minutes. Unfortunately, he let me know that the acid solution had ruined a part of my roof where Elite plumbing had spilled it as they poured it into the drain pipes above. He also indicated that any professional plumber would use only an auger for a clogged kitchen drain. He also said that the acid could possibly have damaged my pipes under the house. I will never use Elite HVAC and Plumbing for any services in the future and I will tell everyone about my horrific experience with them.
Description of Work: A service call was put in on November 27. On the following Monday, the work was scheduled for two days later (because that was the next day in my area) and late in the afternoon (at my request). On that day, I took off from work for other reasons. The "plumbers" called to see if I was home for the service call at 10am. Since I was at home, I agreed for them to come early. They arrived shortly and began to evaluate the problem. My kitchen sink was clogged. For a company that charges by the hour, they spent a lot of time walking around and trying to decide what to do first for a drain stoppage. They didn't have an auger so they tried plunging but that had already been tried before the work was turned over to a "professional." Then they took the sink drain system apart after they requested a bucket from me to catch the water. Then they used some pressure machine outside on the drain that caused sewage to s*** all over the under the sink and onto the kitchen floor. They asked me for towels to clean up the mess. I gave up three good towels hoping to wash them as soon as the men left. The only accomplishment for that day's labor was to clog the drain for the washing machine (so much for washing the nasty towels). Some more walking around to think and they decided that they had done all they could for that day. This took about 3 hours. They promised to return the following day with a solution. I did have to take another day from work to accommodate them the next day. They showed up with a bottle and a half of something called "Clobber." They were sure that they would be finished within 30 minutes after pouring the bottle in the sink and the partial bottle in the washer drain. An hour or so later they decided to go to a plumbing supply and get more of the Clobber. Two more bottles were poured down the outside drain on the roof. More wait and see gave them 4 hours of the hourly rate. At this point they confessed that they had done all they could do and I would have to get someone else.
