Gulf Coast Air & Power, Inc.

Just over two months ago I contacted Gulf Coast Air & Power at 205 A Industrial Parkway, Saraland, Alabama 36571 phone number (251) 202-7501. My a/c unit was leaking water and was told by the operator who answered the phone that a technician could come out for a fee of about $84.00. I agreed. The tech came out and stayed for about 35 minutes. During that time the tech cut a water drain pipe that lead out into the hallway where the water was leaking. He placed a coupling to the cut piece with no glue. I mentioned to him about gluing it and he said it wasn't necessary. This would of course pour water back into the hall. He also poured water into a wrong compartment and admitted to doing so. The bill that was presented to me was not $84.00 but ballooned to $175.00. The a/c unit worked for about 24 hours after the tech visit. I have made multiple calls to the office of Gulf Coast Air & Power and eventually spoke to the owner who said that he would look into it and call me back. Well that never happened and I called back to ask about it and the office lady told me that it usually takes about a week for the owner to look into complaints. That was about three weeks ago and the call was never made. I knew that that the last call was another one of the many lies that was told me. I am absolutely shocked at what has happened to me and I most certainly do not intend to keep quiet about this matter. I made a complaint to the BBB with no results from Gulf Coast Air & Power, just more lies told by them. Danny Duffell
