DEEP SOUTH TREE EXPERTS

Delays started immediately. We were put off 3 times, for a job that was only going to take a day. When work began, they came for about 4 or 5 hours. Didn't finish on 1st day. We were left with a piece of privacy fence tacked back in place for about 3 weeks by the end of it (in a backyard with a pool). It was very nerve racking & unsightly. Bob suggested that we go ahead and take down some additional trees. Ok, so price increased. But, what we initially agreed upon changed in this conversation. Get it in writing! More delays after our next agreement. Bob came back once to take down next trees. We were again left with stumps to be grinded from these & the stump from the first trip! And the privacy fence problem. We should not have agreed to anything else but Bob suggested we check with neighbors to take down some trees pushing on another portion of our fence. Mind you, these were trees he had already trimmed, so we essentially paid twice for these. But, "I'm giving you a h*** of a deal". And he promised to be back the next day & finish it all! We had to delay him one day because we were having trouble getting in touch with the neighbor. So, he said he would be there the day after that. To put this in perspective, we had already been dealing with this for about 2 and a half weeks. He didn't show. I called him, & he promised to be there the next day. Again, he put us off. Said he would be there the next day. I told him fine, but it had to be complete on Friday because we were having a party on Saturday. (this was Wednesday). No show, no call. We tried multiple times to get in touch with him. So, again, more delays. Bob finally called us on Monday afternoon promising to be there on Tuesday. My husband met him that morning to make sure we were all on the same page, with what trees & costs. Bob agreed to take down all trees on fence line for specified price. I get a call from Bob that afternoon saying that all but two trees were down but we needed to talk because the other two didn't look good by themselves. I told him he had agreed to remove them all with my husband! I told him that my husband would call him right back. Of course, my husband couldnt reach him then. Finally, they spoke but it was not nice. The price changed AGAIN! The job was finally finished on Wednesday of that week. We felt screwed by the end of it. They had taken down the privacy fence to reach the neighbor's trees and broken posts in the process. Bob even had the nerve to say my husband had said he would put the fence back up. I said NO HE DID NOT. We were left with putting the fence back together the best that we could. We have stump grinding mess everywhere that could have been cleaned up easily by his crew. We were exhausted & sick of it all by the end. NEVER AGAIN!!
