Description of Work: What more could I say? They did what they were paid to do and they were very professional. They showed up on time, they were neat and clean and courteous. A great experience. They are really talented at virtually ANY type of flooring installation. I had tile, hardwood and a small laminate area and they all came out great. Highly enjoyed them....great all around people.

Description of Work: Had a floating bamboo floor installed in our living room, dining room and hallways. Used Lowes "home installation services" program, and they picked the company (never again). The contractor used SAND to level the floor, not the standard leveling compound. After calling a number of flooring companies and manufacturer of the bamboo flooring product, the practice of using sand to level a floor was largely unheard of and, those companies that heard of it said it was a fast/cheap way for the contractor to go. Sand moves, so given the pressure applied when people walk on it, the floor eventually becomes unleveled. This was my problem - MAJOR unleveled areas - along with a warping in the hallways due to the contractor failing to seal the foundation properly before installing the flooring. I called Lowes, who immediately called the company to come out and inspect. The same contractor came back out, and after I showed him the problem areas, he became beligerent - accusing me of spilling liquid on the floor to make it warp. After much fighting with the contractor and Lowes, they reluctantly agreed to redo the hallway (upon pulling up the flooring, they did conceed the foundation cracks were not properly sealed by their installers). The contractor refused, however, to take up the sand and level the floor with the recommended compound. By this time I was so frustrated with the contractor, I just gave up. Looking back, I wish I hadn't given up. Every time I walk on certain areas of the floor, I hear loud cracking noises in the same areas - and the "give" on the floor in those areas are MUCH more than the "allowed". I will NEVER use this comany again - or Lowes Home Installation Services- where THEY pick the contractor for you. If you are thinking of getting hardwood flooring installed, steer clear of ANY contractor that wants to use SAND to level the floor - despite whatever benefits they may say it has. I learned a hard and costly lesson.
