 + -1 moreMy roof has what is called walls because they are so steep. They stripped the entire roof, inspected the decking, repaired the tin, re-felted, replaced vent seals and re shingled my entire roof. They follow warranty installation instructions and left the site spotless. A few months later there small trim pieces that had come loose and fell into the gutter and he was back in a day to correct it. His crew is clean cut and there is no alchohol consumption as you see with many.

Description of Work: Ken's Roofing replaced the roof on our house and garage. The work was so bad the entire roof, both shingles and plywood had to be removed and replaced by another roofing company. It ended in a court case Ken Brown filed for payment. After testimony and 100+ pictures, HE LOST! After the fact, we did not find proof he was licensed or a member of the BBB as he told us, to the contrary. In this case, let the buyer beware! It cost us a lot of time and over $1100 in attorney fees to use this roofer! Don't let the same thing happen to you!

 + -1 moreII had a seven year old metal roof that I had a lot of leaks and trouble from. He removed metal roof and old shingles, reflashed chimney, repaired damaged wood, installed new sky light, new felt and new shingles. They cleaned up well after job. They have done my neighbors roof and my mother in laws roof. I would highly recommend them. It took them a day and a half. They knew what they were doing and did not waste time. They started work at eight each morning. I have had my first rain and no leaks.
Description of Work: Removed and installed new roofing.

 + -1 moreI have used Ken Brown of Ken's roofing on 3 different occasions. His crew was hired to put the roof on a new addition at my home, and he also replaced the roof on one of my rental houses. My in-laws used him to replace the roof on their house, and from the very beginning he was always professional, prompt, fair in his pricing. He went over in details of what his crew would do once awarded the job, and each time they followed through. He worked with our insurance company (Allstate) and actually has a good reputation with them. I would highly recommend Ken's Roofing for any repairs or replacement that you may need.
Description of Work: Replaced the roof on one of my rental homes, and added a roof on a room addition at my home.

 + -1 more1. Did not show up for work on the day that Ken Said they would. 2.They did not call to reschedule they did nothing. 3. They left the job without properly covering the roof.(there was 2 20' X 40' tarps purchase by my mother that the worker threw on the ground and could have used for this purpose) 4. Ken lied about what he would do to make the damage right. 5. Ken is filtering my phone calls now will not answer.
Description of Work: Ken Brown was contracted to install and new roof on my 79 year old mother home. They were to start on a Monday and did not show up to start the job that day. Ken did not call my mother to let her know what had happen or when he would start her roof. The roof had been leaking and damaged the guest bathroom and 1 of her 3 bedroom.(this is the only reason he was contacted after not showing up to do the job) there was no other damage to the interior of her home. The company showed up on Thursday and started removing the old roofing. After the removed the old roofing they tar papered the roof and left it. That night there was a thunderstorm and every room in her home leaked. She showed the damage to Ken Brown and he agreed to pay the cost of the item to repair the roof plus labor. He asked that we prepare a list items and prices needed to make the repairs including labor charges and he would pay her for these items. I have sent him email with excel spreadsheet displaying all the cost of the Items from home depot plus a very discount $10.00 per hour labor cost to fix all the items. I called Ken about 3 weeks ago got his email address and told him that I would send him the total cost. I did an excel spreadsheet itemizing each item and total cost and sent it to him also asked that he call me so we could review the cost. Never got a call after 3 or 4 days. Call him again he said that he got the email but could not open it. I said OK and he gave me another number to another company and asked me to tell them I want to sent fax. Sent the fax again with a cover sheet and asked they he call me once again about 2 weeks ago. He did not. I called and left message on his phone and he will not return my call. (by the way he(Ken Brown) was suppose to have given my mother the roofing warranty and came back to paint the pipes and the vents to match the roofing color. I inquired about this the times I spoke to him when getting an email address and fax number. He responded that he have someone to run by and do the painting and he would give my Mother the warranty when he brought the check to settle up the damages. It has not happened . Now Ken is ignoring the entire issues. (The check was written to pay Ken's roofing by my sister out of my account while I was out of town and my mother was gone that is the only reason they were paid). IF this helps one elderly person to avoid being taken advantage of like my mother was it would be a blessing. Thank You!
