The experience with Derek Star was excellent. He was easy to get in touch with and came on time(even called to see if he could come earlier). He fixed all the electrical issues from an inspection report. I will definitely use him again.

Description of Work: Eric is a great guy, very professional and with reasonable prices. I don't know why anyone would use Dixie Electric or some of the other big outfits and pay way more money. I have used Star Electric several times and have always been very pleased.

Description of Work: Really bad about saying they are coming but did not show up, had to take personal leave to sit and wait for them, then had to impose on mother-in-law to sit and wait for them, when they came I heard more than once about some other big, obviously more important, job they had going on making it obvious to me that little people were not important, terrible craftsmanship, had to have someone else come back and either finish or fix things they did, did not clean up after themselves, still finding little bits of wire and screws

Description of Work: They were amazing. I was working with a aluminium wired house. They replaced my connection with power company that had been compromised, put in a new panel box, put in a new system wired smoke detector, checked all wiring especially that running through the attic, put in needed ground fault breakers by kitchen and 2 bathroom sinks,checked all switches and outlets replacing 4 that were faulty. Very pleased with process and outcome.

Description of Work: The service technician called to confirm the appointment time and arrived at scheduled time. I requested a service to make repairs and ensure there are no electrical problems in preparation of putting the house on the market. The service technician answered all my questions,replaced a balast,repaired an outlet and rewired a gargage light. Also, reviewed home to ensure it meets code. I was very pleased with the service and the professionalism of the service technician.

Description of Work: I needed some electrical work done and found Star Electric on Angie's List. |I called them and Derek came and took care of my shop problem. While he was here I asked what it would cost to change my fuse panel to a breaker panel. He gave me a price for both jobs that was a very good price. He ordered the things he needed and came the next morning and in short time had the job completed. He did a nice job in a very professional and courteous manner. I highly recommend Star Electric to anyone and if I need any more work done I'll call them.

+ -1 moreHe came in and diagnosed the problem we were having right away and went right to work to fix the furnace, then we asked him if he could add another plug in a bedroom for an electric heater. He did the job quickly and efficiently. Now, everything is working fine. We've had no problems.
Description of Work: Mr. Stroh added a circuit for our furnace and ran a new electrical socket in a bedroom.

Though they were friendly and personable, they were more about getting the work done than shooting the breeze with me or the folks in the office. They did a prompt, detailed inspection of the issues that needed to be addressed, calculated a price and discussed the work with me in terms I could understand. They immediately began work and were done within a reasonable time. The job was properly permitted, and they handled the city inspection of the work afterwards. I wouldn't hesitate to use these guys again - and most certainly will. You can't go wrong with them.
Description of Work: Completed electrical work on a new HVAC unit I had installed and addressed another electrical issue (a breaker that kept tripping).

+ -1 moreFirst, when we called I was amazed that they could come out the next day and after I explained what I needed to be done Eric was like okay I will be there by noon on the following day. To my amazement they got to my home before noon and were very knowledgeable and caring of my home. They also informed me that someone had use an electric cord in my attic and I ask them when can they repair that issue. To my amazement again he said they can do it in thirty minutes and a great price. Eric and Derek are outstanding gentlemen that informs you of what they are going to do and ask if you are comfortable before they even start the work. If you ever need electric work done by true professions this company is THE COMPANY to GO TOO!!

+ -1 moreThese guys are amazing. I've used them in the past for electrical work and they've always been courteous, knowledgable, and always cleaned up after themselves. This last time I used them I had them check some DIY work I had done. They looked at it and determined I needed a junction box in the wall, so they did it in about 10 min and didn't even charge anything because I was a returning customer. Without a doubt, this company has earned a customer for life. Star Electric will be my first call for any electrical services, and I recommend they be yours too. Great experiences.
