Smoothly, on time, responsive, helpful, pleasant, professional!!!!

They always done very good work. I already hired them 2 to 3 times ago and they have a reasonable price.

Called contractor on Friday and left message. Needed a plumber Monday morning and now Tuesday afternoon I am still waiting on that call back. Called another plumber Saturday morning based on a neighbor's referral. Received a call within a few hours. Work was completed in needed time frame. Angie's list was no help at all.

Called on Thursday for an appointment. I was told he could come the following Tuesday and would call before he came out. I waited all day and he never called or came!

Slow in getting back to me roughly 3 days. Once we surmounted that, they were prompt courteous professional and priced very reasonably. Definitely would hire again.

Called for service at 10a; service provider was on site by 2:30p. Work completed promptly and professionally. I've used Caldwell & Sons twice in last six months for plumbing issues I could not handle myself. They are my go-to company for plumbing or electrical.

The electrical box was originally located inside a closet, so that was relocated to the outside per code. The septic line under the house was completely demolished and they installed a new line. Later we found out that the property didn't have a septic tank, and Caldwell was quick to come back and move it to the other side of the house once the engineer informed us where the septic tank needed to be installed. They couldn't connect the septic line to the septic tank, only stubbed it outside. They also made sure the line to the city water was replaced. Re-wiring was great. They were willing to install extra outlets in different rooms that weren't originally there, and also wired to install an HVAC system. Also re-wired for a new water heater. Came out a separate time to hook up the water heater when we finally had purchased it.

On a hot Alabama day the electricity went out. Caldwell and sons worked quickly to find the problem which was an old, no longer in code connection box on the outside of the house. The A/C was back in operation in no time at all. Polite and professional in every conversation! I highly recommend them.

I had a plumber associated with my home warranty come out to assess the problem. They claimed that my home did not have a ground level clean out, and they would have to go out on the roof (not covered by home warranty) or install a clean out on the side of the house. Their prices seemed high and I was suspicious. After reading favorable reviews on Angies I called Caldwell and Sons for a second opinion. I put in a call mid-day and received a call back within a few hours. He scheduled me for the following morning, and came out promptly. They showed me that we in fact have TWO clean outs at the ground level (one under the kitchen sink specifically for the drain in question). They were very professional, cleaned the drain (for less than half the priced quoted by the other company), and wrote up a quick explanation of our existing clean out locations to support our argument with the home warranty program. We will definitely be using them in the future for all our plumbing needs.

Took some time to determine the problem. The sons considered between water valve and a problem with the hot water heater. Yesterday it rained, and it was too wet to dig to determine if it were the valve. This morning they determined it was the water heater. The part was replaced and cleaned in less than an hour. Now knowing that the part only cost $4, I feel we were over charged.

They came. They saw. They cleaned it out in a matter of minutes. Offered some advice on a piece of damaged pipe that I could do on the cheap, instead of them doing it and costing much more. This is the second time we have used them and they will be the first to call should we need them again.

I was pleased with their work. They acted like they wanted to help and were professional.

The job could have cost me a lot more. I've called them a lot of time for small jobs too. The smaller jobs would be less than $100. They were never trying to break me. They took care of us like family. They did a lot of work. They were very good and very responsive. They're very good at responding and taking care of things. They helped me the day my husband had a heart attack.

They came in, evaluated what my needs were and got straight to work. I needed both plumbing and electrical work done so they determined what the "low hanging fruit" of the job would be and jumped in. Having an electrical problem with an entire room was daunting to me because past electricians told me it would have to be completely rewired. C&S found the problem and told me it was a simple, easy fix. The plumbing issue was another story... They looked at everything I had already looked at and came to the same conclusion I did (which made me feel good). Once they outlined what they would have to do they said that they would be able to get it done for me right away. I gave them the go-ahead and once again they were off and running! Very professional and very nice throughout the entire job.

I called in the around 9:30 am and they scheduled me for lunchtime. I was running late and I called to let them know. They were very kind. They were waiting when I got home. Mr. Caldwell approached with his business card in hand and introduced himself. I explained the issue and showed him inside. He and his crew had my drain cleared within 20 mins and they were on their way. I was very impressed with their professionalism and service. I will definitely call on them again when the need arises.

We have used Caldwell & Son's for years now. They have responded very quickly for each and every call. They have always been very reasonable with prices. A great group of professional men!

Man, these guys are great. I called several plumbers and they were the ONLY ones who were professional and quick to respond. I left a message yesterday after they were closed and they returned my call at 7:20 this morning. Then they called me back at 8:00 when I hadn't yet returned their call. Jim, the owner, told me he could be at my house in 30 minutes. His sons, Matt and Sam, arrived exactly on time and located the problem quickly. They fixed everything and were gone by 9:10. The attic access to the water pipes had some insulation fall to our carpet and Matt even offered to vacuum it up. He also offered to dump the water out of the bucket that was collecting the leak. They gladly accepted the Angie's List coupon and didn't even make me print it out. Matt broke down the cost for me ($22 for fittings and $85 for labor minus $10 coupon). These guys were courteous, thorough, quick, and friendly. I'll definitely use them again if I have a problem.

Excellent service. Caldwell provided the best of four estimates for this service, all using the same brand & model of tankless water heater. They were prompt, efficient, and professional. I intend on using them for additional plumbing work in the future.

It went very well, but this was not my first experience with Caldwell and Sons. They have been coming to my home for quite a few years. They are always punctual, very caring for their clients, and always give their people value for their money. I plan to call on them soon for another project.

Caldwell has done several plumbing and electrical jobs for me. They consistently do what they say they're going to do, at the estimated price or less. I'm generally pleasantly surprised by the final bill.
