Description of Work: Provided lawn service for our two lots.

Description of Work: Mr. Bixler trimmed all of my shrubs. He removed a dead scrub and edged and weed eated my yard. I do my own mowing so I did not ask him to do that.

Description of Work: I used Bixler's Lawn Service LLC to mow, cut the weeds, and edging the lawn. He also trimmed all our shrubs which filled in dirt around the septic tank fence area, and they cleaned our gutters.

Description of Work: First, it's important to say the 2+ acreas cleared on our land hadn't seen any care since early August 2011. There were interesting weeds over a foot in height, new bushes from seeds dropped by birds, and in general our land looked neglected and sad. I phoned Bixler's Lawn Service and two days later Mr. Bixler was knocking on the front door. He walked around our property (which is quite hilly) and when he knocked on the door after a while, he had an estimate for us. The first time they worked on our yard, it would be a bit more expensive than thereafter, because there would be extra work required to bring the land up to the standard he'd work with in the future. He left the estimate sheet with us, and my husband thought about the cost and what we'd get for it for several days. At last, he gave the go-ahead and we called Mr. B. to come back and talk with us. We signed a contract to have Bixler's come to our land every other week for a year. It worked out to $250/month, and some months he'd be here three times. I really worried about the hilly nature of our land, but Mr. B. was confident that it would be no trouble. The day of our first appointment came, and into our driveway came a van plus an SUV. Three lawn mowers (riding sort, large cutting blades underneath) and various implements for trim work came out, along with several people to do the labor. It was wonderful! Within two hours, our yard was cut, the trimmings and mowed grass were removed, and we were looking at a lovely yard once again. We're going to have our lawn fertilized and seeded in the near future, as well. Our contract is year-round, and in the non-cutting months, Bixler's will be clearing the land of pine cones (we have so many pine trees around here) and pine straw, as well as branches, etc., that fall on the lawn. He'll make sure the soil is nourished and able to grow a healthy lawn for next year. We will pay very little more when the fertilizer, etc., are added. In truth, everything Bixler's Lawn Service will do for us is reasonably priced, and we're so pleased with the results of the first work done on our lawn (now that it is a lawn again!) that we know this is going to be an excellent working relationship!
