Jesse, the owner, kept me updated via email as to arrival time, availability of supplies, etc. He arrived on time and worked efficiently. Jesse repaired some broken Hardiplank siding and caulked and painted it. He also replaced an old garage door with a new safer metal door and painted that as well. I would hire Bama Improvements again for other home repair jobs.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company: they are liars and are not trustworthy. They did not complete the gutter guard installation; they lied about the condition of the chimney base; they lied continuously about sending emails with the quotes for two other jobs (chimney cap and front entrance door) that could not be done because equipment needed to be ordered. They committed to finish the gutter guards and gave commitment dates, but found every excuse in the world for not showing up ...from busy schedule of jobs, to being out of town, to being in the hospital with a sick son, to just ignoring phone calls and text messages. By chance if you do contract with this company, I strongly advise that you be prepared to watch their work and inspect the finished product. Ask for video proof if the work is out of you line of sight; i.e. second story gutter guards. If you discover items not completed and you have made the final payment to the individual, as opposed to the company, it will prove fatal in getting them to return to finish the job. Last October 2020 I gave a satisfactory rating, but later that month I discovered several feet of gutter guards on my story and a half house were not installed. After several back and forth texts (including providing the owner with a copy of HIS work order) in November 2020, he texted stating that it was no big deal, ll will get dem guards up. Subsequently I got, â will be there next week but always had an excuse for not showing up. On April 1, 2021 I filed a complaint with the BBB. The owner ignored both requests for resolution from the BBB. A worker did arrive on April 17, 2021 with the objective of reinstalling guards that had â BLOWN OFF DURING THE STORM . Mind you, these guards are installed under the last roof shingle and are screwed into the gutter. He installed a couple of strips of guards but said he needed three things: more guards, the downspout that was not supposed to be removed, and a longer ladder. He committed to come back to finish during the week of May 5. He did not return, respond to texts, nor return phone calls. The entire project was supposed to take 2 days, but they completed the new porch in 1 day. Very nice, and everything was clean when they left. Jesse did a great job.

I had a really good experience communicating with Jesse. He understood my deck s existing problems and took the appropriate action to get problems fixed and implement my design in a way that was functional and just how imagined it. We had a small hiccup with material availability for the agreed upon railing design but he was able to quickly order different material to keep on schedule and complete the job in the time he originally estimated. The quality of the workmanship was good and the workers that did the demolition and installation were courteous and good guys. When small problems arose they were quick to acknowledge and fix it. I am really happy with the work Bama Improvements did and would recommend them.

Jessie did an excellent job building me a new front deck. The price he quoted me was cheeper than anyone else but his work over exceeded it.

On one side of my house the wood siding had water rot and I wanted all new siding, and a gutter put on. Jesse came out and gave me the best price. He was a little more expensive only because I wanted all new siding and not just the rotted wood cut out and patched because I new it was worse than what you could see, and I was right when they took off the trim you could see the water damage went up way higher then what other contractors said. And I have an over hang above my front door that is also water damaged from a small hole in my roof and he replaced all the wood and fixed the hole. Again NOT patched!!.FIXED. So yes I highly recommend Jesse Humphryes

As for as your response, Jesse, if you would have actually read and responded to our many attempts to communicate with you, we corrected you on the fact that we did NOT use flex seal. We used silicone which can be easily removed. I completely understand it rained a lot this year so far, but we gave you over 2 months to resolve the issue with many sunny days as well. As far as for the warranty you mentioned, I believe you just avoided coming to even look at the issue in attempts to void it by waiting until a year had passed.

I had a great experience. Jesse communicated with me through out the project. The work was high quality. I would definitely use Jesse at Bama again.
