Great, timely service. No hard sell for a new unit or pressure to get unnecessary work done. Very friendly staff.

Repairman was personable, punctual, professional and competent. He even came back while I was out of the house to complete the repair. Will definitely use this company again.

Very quick to respond to service request. My AC was out, due to failed start capacitor, and the tech was at the house within a four hours, despite calling after 12pm on a very busy day. He had the capacitor on the truck, and had the AC back on within 15 minutes of arrival. Will use again.

I'm SATISFIED. The HEAT and COOL is now working as it should. NEITHER was working AT ALL before FIX. I was WORRIED that I might have to BUY a NEW heat pump if unable to fix. It ALL turned out WELL. Thanks SEWELL ! jy

Our air conditioner stopped working on sat the 20th.It was like 101 that day..VERY hot.I called Mr. Sewell and fortunately for us he had a cancellation and came out within 40 mins. He was able to get our unit up and working despite not having the exact part on his truck, He came back out on tues and replaced the temp one with the correct part and even took the time to clean our unit which was pretty dirty. We decided to actually pay for their maintenance plan which was 149.00 of the 351.00.So he did the full inspection ect on tues and will come out again in 6 months.I was very happy with this company and I would recommend them to EVERYONE!

Grady is great, as is the person who books appointments for him. It is a pleasure all around to do business with him. He came out on my dishwasher the last two times and found nothing wrong (like a car, it acted right when a professional was looking at it!) and gave me tips on how to make sure it behaved for me. I highly recommend and will definitely call them again.

As cooler temps rolled into our area we noticed that our heater was having trouble getting and staying up to the temperature we set on the thermostat. We had tried different service companys that wanted to sell us a new heating and cooling system (approx 5000.00) We weren't convinced that it was that big of a problem, we called Grady Sewell and he sent someone out right away. What they found was just a little switch that needed to be replaced. Start to finish it took about 1 hour. We are very plased with the service that Sewell Service Company provided for us, and we will call them again when we are in need.

Love these guys! We have used this company for a number of years for our heating and cooling system. They have always been friendly and professional. They take their time to make sure the job is done right. I wish that I could trust other service providers as much as I do Sewell Service.

Sewell Service has provided numerous services for us over many years. We have been loyal customers since Grady's late father owned the business. Grady has continued to provide the same excellent service that was begun by his father. The Sewell work ethic and credibility are evidenced by their prompt arrival times, courteous attitudes, knowledge of older mechanisms as well as newer, changing technology, efforts to save the customer money, flexibility in scheduling appointment times, fair prices, and efficient and more than satisfactory completion of jobs. Sewell Service is the first company I call for any appliance or heating and air repairs or routine maintenance. I would recommend Sewell Service without hesitation to anyone with like needs.

I was very impressed with Grady when he first came out to give us an estimate because he is one of the very few HVAC contractors in central Alabama who is educated and willing to work on a central dehumidification and air exchange unit saying that he had worked on these in the past as well as being knowledegable on the benefits of spray foam insulation and proper humidity levels in the home. He cheerfully took home the literature to research on our particular make and model so that he could give an accurate estimate which came in lower than another contractor from Angie's List. I had to make many phone calls (even from Angie's List) before I found someone capable and willing to do this work, and it was well worth the time because he and his workers did a wonderful job and were quite friendly and professional as well. This company also came back out when we had an issue with our unit and didn't charge us for this. My only regret is that we didn't have Grady's company install our whole HVAC system for our new home construction because I believe that they would have done a better job and in a more timely fashion than the company that we went with. I like their maintenance plan and we will use this company for this because they were great to work with.

This is the second year that Grady Sewell has serviced our large unit. He also cleaned and checked the smaller unit. Not only is he courteous, on-time and knowledgeable, but his office staff is fantastic too! We know we are delaying the inevitable by not replacing the unit and Mr. Sewell explained in layman's terms how the commodity is changing and the potential impact of waiting. Sewell Services is a great company with honest, approachable folks.

My home warranty company could not provide a repairman to fix my AC until Tuesday - there were no contractors who worked on the weekend, nor could I contact my AC maintenance company, whom I pay for twice a year service. So I went to Angie's list and found Sewell Service Company. Joey, the service technician responded immediately. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly. His service was prompt, professional and reliable. I'm considering changing my maintenance company to Sewell. I was extremely pleased with the timely service they provided.

Our first experience with Sewell Service was a freestanding icemaker repair. Grady Sewell was thoughtful and meticulous about his work, and about 25% cheaper on his price than the service company we had used in the past. Based on that experience we had him troubleshoot a pesky and difficult HVAC duct and airflow problem we had in our basement. He is very knowledgeable about HVAC, in addition to appliances and many other things. He tried the cheap fixes first to save us money, which helped but did not fully resolve the issue. He then recommended a new and larger air handler to force more air through the existing, poorly designed ductwork since replacing the ductwork was not practical. We agreed. When his crew came to install it they caused a bigger problem due to confusion about which outdoor condenser unit (we have 4) went to our basement air handler. As a result, all the freon leaked from the unit into our house and the condenser unit outside was ruined. Disasters happen, even to good contractors. The important thing is how they handle it. Grady Sewell handled it the absolute right way. He volunteered to install an entire new system for the price he quoted for just the air handler. We did not demand this. He actually installed a bigger, better and more efficient unit than the 9 year old unit that was broken. He personally handled the install with two crew members over 12 hours straight without breaks. He presented us a bill in the amount of only the air handler quote, which would have left him with a several thousand dollar loss on the job. Given the age of our old unit and the better unit he gave us to replace it, we could not in good conscience allow him to take that hit, especially considering how well he handled the problem. So we voluntarily paid quite a bit more. We wanted Grady to have a good taste in his mouth about us becasue he will be the first call we make in the future when we need any kind of service.

Called based on reviews on Angie's List. Originally scheduled for next day after initial call, but called the morning of to reschedule for the following day (ie. two days after call). Came at scheduled time and told us the repair was going to 75% of what we paid for the washer and it was not worth it. Gave us recommendations on what to buy and did not charge us for the visit. Would definitely use again.

The whole experience was excellent.

Mr. Sewell came out, checked the water heater and said it was sediment causing the strange noise. We decided to do nothing until further notice.

I had a refrigerator leak behind the frig. I discovered the leak one evening and called Sewell early the next morning. I was able to schedule an appointment that afternoon. Prior to the repair visit I had to go out of lltown unexpectedly for the afternoon. A friend came over to my house to wait on the repair person. Prior to the repair person arriving, my friend had a family emergency and had to leave. I contacted the repairman and discovered that he was already in my neighborhood. When I explained the situation with no one being at my house, he was very gracious and rescheduled for the next day and did not charge me for the "almost" visit that day. The next day the repair person came. He discovered the source of the leak quickly. He only charged me for the service call + $5 for the replacement tubing. I was very pleased with the responsiveness, quick scheduling of a service call, professionalism and reasonable pricing for the service.

Coming in on the same day of the call was really impressive. The service man was friendly, polite and knowledgeable. There was no extra charge for me throwing in an extra appliance (trash compactor) on that day. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to family and friends.

They send a service rep the next day. The rep came on time and completed the service/inspection in half an hour. No repair work needed at that point. They provided an inspection Report. Paid the bill on that day. I was very pleased with the service.

They are always polite, explain everything and if you are covered under their service agreement they don’t charge you a trip fee. They do quality work and I don’t have any complaints, I’m amused as to how good they are.

We have a contract with them. They let us pay by the month. Everything they did was all right. We have stuck with them because they let us pay monthly.

My washing machine quit with a full load of clothes and hot water the evening before. I called Grady Sewell the morning of 4/16/2012 and he came over in 20 minutes..... yes i said 20 minutes!..He evaluated and fixed the problem in about 15 minutes. The problem was that little switch that turns off the machine when you open the lid. He was kind and didn't replace the switch (he could have and i wouldn't have a clue), he also told me how the switch works and left me with these sage words. "Don't let the lid slam down, it causes the switch to seperate" I am heeding those words and doing my laundry right now. Thank you Grady!
