I am an independent handyman. If you have been told your project is too small give me a call. I work mostly alone but can get help if needed. I give free quotes on any work (some quotes might be over the phone). My minimum charge on any work I do is $150. This covers up to two hours of labor. Thank you for the review. I was glad to be able to help. There was a strange buzzing in the house and nobody could figure out what it was. I did a lot of research and most of the evidence pointed to water hammer. That is what it turned out to be and she was able to fix it herself!

Thank you for the feedback. I did this job for him even though it is outside of my normal work area. I had to figure in an hour and a half round trip driving time as well as my normal work charge. I let him know the price in my very first response to him and did not change it. Most providers will not even do these small jobs but that is a market that I serve. I always try to charge reasonably but I can't drive an hour and a half and then only charge a simple hourly rate for 20 minutes of work. As far as responsiveness I am not sure exactly why I earned a B. He contacted me on Sunday and I did the work on Thursday of the same week. In between that time we exchanged 6 messages and I left my phone number in each one. He never provided his phone number so I was only able to contact him through the Angie's List message center.

Projects went smoothly.
Description of Work: Stephen has done several projects for me including fence repair & stain, installation of bath fixtures, garage organizers, etc. Stephen charged my by the hour for small stuff & by the project for the fence work. I don't remember the cost of all the projects he has done for me but the cost was fair and reasonable.

Description of Work: Installed a handrail on basement stairs with balusters. We called and he came the next day to look at the stairs. Took about a week for him to call us back with 2 estimates. One for a finished look and one just plain with unfinished wood. We scheduled his first availability which I think was about 1 or 2 weeks from when we got an estimate. He was prompt and did a great job.

Description of Work: I was told I would get an email/phone call from Mr Caudill within two days. That did not happen. I called him repeatedly. He finally called back after two weeks. He was not available for two months, but was not sure if that date was available. It was exhausting trying to get any work done. No communication.

Yes we did play a bit of phone tag. And yes my schedule was very full due to the huge response to the Big Deal I had offered. (two months is a bit exaggerated though. It was about one month.) When I talked to him he did not want to wait and also was not sure he could get enough work to make four hours (Which was the Big Deal he had purchased). I am very sorry you had a poor experience. Thank you for the review. I am always working to improve in every area that I can. Sometimes though, there are factors I cannot control.
