They worked tirelessly. My yard looks great. They really did a great job. It was well worth the money. I spoke with Greg (owner) whom was very polite and professional. He did more than he originally quoted with no extra charge. He has great people skills. His entire crew was extremely polite when I was checking on the work. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them. I have already planned on doing some more things and will definitely call them.

The crew is very professional. They work carefully, and make sure things are cleaned up after they are finished. They even trimmed a few things that weren't on the list, free of charge. Our trees look so much better, and our yard is a safe place to play for our child. Greg personally makes sure he is satisfied before the job is complete, and he is a perfectionist. We will have him do all our tree work in the future.

Excellent service by a very professional service. Greg responded to an email inquiry within hours of my sending it. His foreman came out to give me a very low threat estimate after hours due to my work schedule. Crew showed up promptly as scheduled and did very thorough job cutting down the trees and grinding the two stumps. They cleaned up the worksite very thoroughly and really went well above and beyond. Crew was courteous and professional and got the job done on time and without any hassles. Highly recommended. Will absolutely call them again if I need more work done.

As above, it went impressively well! Everyone knew what their jobs were and they got it done. We felt comfortable having the crew and Mr. Linander on our property. Cleanup was done, the crew had to carry all the tree sections from our backyard to the trucks on the street. That was not easy, they made it look easy and did a good job. Mr Linander looked over all the work done and made sure we were satisfied before leaving. He felt good that we saved the tree that we thought would have to be taken down.

This is the second time we've used them to cut trees. They were prompt and were very professional. They cleaned up nicely and checked to make sure we were satisfied before they left. Great job!

Greg and his crew were top notch! They surgically removed a large tree that was about 3 feet from our house with large limbs over the roof. It was on the side of a shared driveway so they had to be very careful of not only our house but our neighbors house and their power/cable lines. They also trimmed a large pecan tree in our backyard that was pretty tricky to get to. And there was a dead tree between ours and our neighbors fence that was leaning; the fence was probably holding it up. They used the crane for this and lifted it out without damaging anything! ALL of this was done with care and precision! I watched for a few hours and was amazed. I highly recommend them. Their whole crew was very professional. The best thing about it...our yard looked exactly the same as before they started. They cleared, blew, and swept everything away!

Had a huge sweet gum tree that was growing so close to the house that the roots had made its way underneath the foundation and was lifting up on it. I contacted two tree service companies prior to Linander's, first one came out quoted me a price; $1,500 to take down the sweet gum and a $1,000 for a few other trees around the property and some of the branches over the house. There was another sweet gum tree right next to the one that we needed taken down that we thought would be nice to see it go as well even though it was not causing any issues to the house. The company quoted another $2,500 just for that tree alone because it was further back between two houses making the job much more difficult and risky. So we scratched that idea and stuck with the original plan and told them that ?I will contact you?. I like to shop around for the best deal, so I contacted another company that came out and quoted me a much better price about, $2,500 for everything (including the second sweet gum) but he said that he wouldn?t be able to get to the job for another two weeks and that his crane was in the shop getting fixed. Not having an operational crane and quoting half of what the other company quoted me raised some red flags. So once again I told him ?I will contact you?. Both of these companies had really good reviews but we didn?t feel comfortable with them. My wife is really big about making sure that any company that does a job for us is licensed and insured. So I finally contacted Linander's Tree Service, Greg came out that very day and we talked about everything that I wanted done on the property including the second sweet gum tree and told him the other quotes that I have received and he stated that ?I can?t believe they quoted you so low?. He actually quoted me closer to $6,000. Wow that is a huge difference. But he told me about how he?s got 20 plus years? experience and that his crew are all top notch experienced hard workers. He also stated that he was licensed, insured and has workers comp. Workers comp?.that is key. Greg said I can do the job for $3,500 minus that second sweet gum tree since it?s not really a necessity. By this point I had added so many other things that I wanted done around the house to the list that I knew that the price he gave me was fair and comparable to the first company that quoted me. I asked how long would it before they can do the job he said tomorrow and be done with it in one day. Fair price, licensed, insured, workers comp, and can be in and out tomorrow; well sign me up. We woke up the next morning and it was raining and said ?oh well I guess we won?t be seeing them today???. Not the case, they drove up 20 minutes later and just started working in the rain. They cleared out a bunch of branches over the house and took down some small trees around the property before they tackled the sweet gum. They got half of the tree down before they noticed the other sweet gum tree that we wanted down initially but voted against because of cost and found that midway on the tree had a bad spot and now that the other sweet gum is down that this tree did not really have anything to shield it from the wind and it would be a matter of time before it snaps either onto my house or the neighbors. They told me that it would be in my best interest to take that tree down while they are already here and setup. And I thought to myself that I do want that tree down but I can?t afford another $2,500 on it but Greg called me on the phone because he was away from the job site and his foreman had called him about the problem. He said I?ll tell you what since we are already there and have the crane in the air, they will remove that tree for $800 and if I want, I can post date the $800 out 30 days. I seriously doubt that any other tree service was going to give me a deal like that so we accepted. They got the tree down and they started cleaning up, raking the yard, putting things back where they were and blowing the leaves off the roof and even got on my neighbors roof and removed some fallen limbs on their house and blew off their roof because that?s just what Linanders does; they clean up there mess and then some; they even cut down a lot of dead branches hanging over our house for no cost. It is nice to be able to see the sun/sky again. At the very end Greg came to me to settle payment and I was writing a check out for $4,300 and he said ?let?s go ahead and take another $100 off?. He had already discounted the original price by about $1,700 and now another $100. What a blessing, this company just keeps on giving. Summary is that Linanders has 20 plus years? experience, licensed, insured and has workers comp, crew is very experienced and does a top notch job, they are fast and thorough. His prices are very fair and he is willing to work with his clients. They clean after themselves and do a lot extra. I may have spent just a tad bit more than I wanted to but we ended up getting a lot more than what we asked for as well. In the end it?s about getting what you want the way you want, comfortably not worrying about a tree/branches landing on your house or anyone getting hurt on your property and you being held responsible. If I have another job I will not hesitate to call Greg up and give him my business and wont mess around about shopping for a cheap job again.

Below is a portion of the review I wrote concerning the company that Greg Linander recommended I call for a job I needed done on my property...... I initially learned of Columbus Fence Co from Greg of Linander's Tree Service (Angie's List) when he came out to give me an estimate on cutting and planting new trees along the private road that runs the length of my property. The dust from the dirt road has been a major problem for my daughters allergies. Greg was Very Honest and told me he would be happy to do the job, but it would be much less costly and a better option for what I really needed to install a wood fence. He could have made double or more what it cost to go with the fence. He recommended I call Bruce Holt with Columbus Fence Co. If I EVER need tree work -Greg Linander is who I would call.

Greg and his team provided excellent service. The trees were taken care of promptly and they cleaned up after themselves completely. Great service; I will definitely use them again.

Crew of 6-8 men removed trees, bushes, and trash from buffer area behind my new house. They did an excellent job of clearing the area, cleaning up branches and vines, and removing all refuse from the house. We had one very minor communication problem .. work had been scheduled for 11/18, but they had mechanical issues and had to delay the job for a day. Apparently due to an internal miscommunication, no one called to let me know they were rescheduling. They came highly recommended by a relative, and I endorse that recommendation. I will call them again should I ever need tree service.

I would totally use this service again! I would say "Great bunch of guys" except I never saw anyone come or go! Greg is a pro and anyone needing trees down should use them!

About 10 guys showed up and knocked the job out in less than an hour, they moved quickly and efficiently. They went above and beyond and took care of a lot of weeds in my yard. Definitely worth every penny!

Excellent experience , would refer to friends and family

Cut dead limbs and some overgrown green limbs within the recommended guidelines by the Arbor Day Foundation. They also completely picked up and hauled away all wood and debris. They used lawn blowers and rakes to remove all debris and left the yard in pristine condition! Greg, the owner, took some of his valuable time to explain the names of some of the cuts used on tree limbs and why they are done and when is the best time to execute the various cuts. The owner and his men all displayed a very professional manner. As long as Linander's Tree Service exists, I have no reason to use anyone else!

Linander's informed me that they were completely booked for the next couple of days, due to the wide-spread storm damage. They told me that they would try to find an alternate service provider for me. In less than an hour, Joseph J. Stanton contacted me about the downed branch. He arrived within half an hour, and began cutting the branch into manageable pieces. He moved the pieces to the side of the road for the city to pick up. The job was quick and efficient, and Mr. Stanton was very friendly and helpful.

Greg and his team arrived on time. They were courteous and professiona. Did a fantastic job of cutting tree with no durrounding damage to bushes. Cleanup was superb. Did a great job.

I chose Linander's Tree Service based on all the wonderful reviews that I read on Angie's List. They totaly lived up to all of their good reviews! When I called, Mr. Linander suggested that I look at their web site and check out their insurance and other details and to look for a discount cupon that was there. I did this and was impressed as I had been when reading about them on Angie's List. Mr. Linander came out promptly to look at the trees and talk to me and my husband. I explained to him that we did not have any diseased trees or any to take down and that what we were interested in was the health and shape of the trees long-term. It was evident that he was both knowledgeable and interested in checking the trees well to see what needed to be done to them. He explained it all and gave us an estimate that took into account the discount. We told him that we would like the work done at his earliest convenience. He checked his schedule and set a day and a time for the work to be done. He and his crew with their equipment all arrived at the agreed upon day and time. They all seemed to know exactly what to do as Mr. Linander directed them. Everyone did an excellent job. They left everything neat and clean when they were done. I am very pleased with this company and have and will continue to recommend them. Mr. Linander is comfortable to talk to and even though I don't know technical details about taking care of trees he understood what I was aiming for in getting this work done and carried it out in a most professional and efficient manner. It is evident that he cares about the trees and the work that he and his company do. Based on his knowledge and the excellent work that he and his crew did we believe that the price was good. Greg and his team were absolutely amazing. To be honest, I'm not the easiest person to please when it comes to things like this but it all started with Greg quickly returning my inquiry and set up a time to come by and see the trees. He then showed on exactly on time and was very professional- a true businessman. He surveyed the job and told me what needed to be done in order to protect my house from falling limbs or cut trees even to the point of stating he'd need to wait a day or so until the ground dried out after recent rains because he had to bring a bucket truck in close to the house through the yard and he did not want to do any damage to my yard. On day 1, I got home and the only way I even knew they had been there was the 3 pines were gone but everything was spotless. His crew cleaned up completely and blew the driveway and sidewalk off. The second day, the really difficult day of getting the two trees right up against the house was impressive. His crew worked like a well drilled, well trained team- every man knowing exactly what his job was and being safe throughout. It didn't take them but a few hours and those 2 were down and everything cut up and hauled off. His crew even cut and stacked some small pieces of the oak for my BBQ grill when all I asked if they would mind leaving a branch for me to cut up later. Greg has his stump grinder grind the tree stumps we had agreed upon earlier but then had him grind another just to make it look good and no additional charge. It's those kind of extra's that make a difference in a quality organization. As I stated earlier, I'm not the easiest person to impress, but Greg Linander has a first class operation. He is customer oriented, not someone who cuts down trees (and there are plenty of those out there who will offer to do it). He runs a business and a professional one at that. He made sure I understood that he is insured and what the dangers are of hiring a untrained, uninsured "Bubba" tree service off the streets can be. If you want it done right the first time- call Greg. If you want peace of mind that you need not worry about someone getting hurt on your property then trying to take advantage of you and that situation- call Greg. It's all about VALUE. His service is a value. Not the cheapest, but the best value for the price and quality. I highly recommend Linander's Tree Service and I will certainly use them again for more trees I need removed.

It was a good experience. It was pretty easy, fast and I had no problems. Linander did not actually cut the tree down; the company they referred did the work. All Linander did was refer the company to me.
