My wood floors were buckling because of excessive moisture in my crawlspace. AFS came to inspect the crawlspace and it was agreed that encapsulation was necessary. While it was expensive, it remedied the problem, but in the annual inspection in January 2024, it was discovered that my foundation had settled a bit and support was needed. The work was done and we discovered a second area that had settled and that support work will be done in May 2024. Alex Jernigan is the inspector i have worked with and he has been very helpful, thoroughly professional, kind and courteous. Hopefully you won’t need foundation encapsulation or support - but if you do, I highly recommend AFA.
