July 15, 2024 Harassment On July 10, 2024, I called Allen Services Company to come out and review a situation concerning my cooling system. After speaking with Cindy at the company, she put me in touch with Chris a technician. Before contacting me with the technician, she stated the fee being $40 service call and $60 every half hour after that. After speaking with the technician Chris, he also stated the fee is being the same. After an assessment of the unit, Chris stated he did not have the parts on his truck to repair the unit and that he would return the next day. We discussed the fee for July 10 which Chris said it was $135; Chris stated that the $135 was the total charge for July 10, 2024, which I offered to pay at the time. He suggested that I could pay him on the next day of his visit. On July 12, he returned to complete the job. As you can see on the invoice Chris charge me $120 per hour for July 10, 2024, which was not the price quoted or how long the hour. On July 12, should have been a continuation of the job in which he did not complete on July 10, instead he charges me for appears to be 1.75 hours at $120 per hour which again was not the price quoted me. I feel I have been overcharged by Allen Service Company. They have un-justly misstated their price quote to me. Moreover, they have unjustly mistreated me in conversation and the lack of customer service to me a consumer. Somehow, I feel this was a stunt too, mislead me and make more money from me. Right after this situation went down with the technician, I contacted Allen Service Company, spoke with Cindy concerning the situation in which had just occurred with their technician. She stated she would pass the information on to one of the owners who would get in touch with me to discuss my concerns. However, at this present time, I have not spoken or received any returned message from the company. Please consult with letter sent to company to justify actions of misconduct and Harassment.
Description of Work: Allen Service Company 1711 1st Avenue South Pell City, Alabama 35125 July 15, 2024 Subject: Unaccepted Behavior, Harassment On July 10th I phoned Allen Services with a problem with my cooling unit. Spoke with a lady named Cindy; she had the technician call me. I spoke with a technician named Chris. I relayed to him the issues the unit was experiencing. The thermostat was not holding properly the temperature; the numbers were fluctuating up and down. At times it would just stop cooling for a while then it would resume. Chris did come check out the system. He checked the pump. He stated he thought it was the pump. He replaced the pump with the pump he had on his truck. Then he said the pump he had didn’t work either. However, before he left, I asked him what my charge was for what he had done so far. I suggested paying him that day charge which he stated was He said I owe $40 for service fee. Total cost of service was $135. This was July 10th charge. I stated to him I wanted to pay for that day. He said I could wait until the next day to pay; I would not owe another service charge. He said because I needed a pump and the one, he had on his truck might not working he said it had been on his truck a long time and it might not work. He said would get a new one. I asked him what the cost of the pump was he said $120 or $125 at most. He said that I could get it, or he could. So he did. He said when I asked him the cost was $40 service and $60 A HALF HOUR. I stated my concern to him about the cost of the merchandise and the labor fee. I stated to him that I needed to make sure I had enough money to pay him when he finished because I didn’t write checks. My concern was to be able to pay him once he finishes. So, it was important to get a quote before he started the job. That is what told me. He said he would come back the next day and replace the pump and the wiring. He stated that it would not take that long to do. July 11th but he didn’t get back until Friday July 12th. Upon his completion, I had a concern of a couple things. First the cost, it was much more than the quote he gave me. When I tried to get an understating why the cost was so high he didn’t want to discuss it. Also to make sure that the whole place to run the pipe outside was seal properly and completely. Chris attitude changed and did not want to answer my questions. I asked him about the thermostat upstairs. I had a question why it was showing #2. Again, I was trying to get clarification so I would not have to call him back out. He stated he had already went over that with me when he put the unit in doing Covid which was over five or six years ago. He said he had to go, and he was in a hurry he had to go. I could no not believe he was talking to me a customer in a rude unprofessional way when I was only trying to get an understanding. That is what I keep on telling him. He stated that he had already told me about the thermostat years ago and he was not going to keep on over what he had already told me that he had somewhere else to go, and he did not have time to keep answering questions for me. I only had the two questions. His tone of voice and the way he spoke to me was very unprofessional. Not only did he state to me he had to go because he had other things to do, but he was also rushing me up for the money I was trying to count the money out to him. He was very rude and unprofessional I could not think. I asked him if I could put it on a card. He said if I did it would cost me $15 more dollars. I asked him if I could just mail it in. He said he wanted his money them. I should have just called the police; he was very upsetting, and I told him so. But he didn’t care; he kept saying he had to go. Another thing he was saying that he gave me a big discount a good deal when he sold me this unit that he didn’t have to do that. He was talking about stuff he said he did for me over five and six years ago. I don’t know where all that old stuff was coming from, but I didn’t appreciate it at all. That in my opinion had nothing to do with anything. I paid cash money for my sale. He didn’t give me anything. Maybe this the way you let your employees talk to your customers, but you don’t have to worry I will not be a customer after the treatment I received today. I have been unprofessional treated. I have been over charge, and I want my money returned back to me. Because he didn’t tell me he was charging me $120 hour. The other chargers are incorrect also. My money has been stolen from me with these chargers. I would appreciate your cooperation in this matter. I stated to him he was making me nervous, and he was stressing me out with his tone of voice and his unwillingness to give me good customer service, but he did not seem to care. He kept saying he had to go, and he did not have time to go over, my concerns with me. He kept saying that he had already talked to me about that years ago, and he was not going to answer my questions again in this matter. I have never been treated and humiliated in my own home such as the treatment by your employee Chris as I was today. I don’t know what kind of customer service he thought he was giving me but on a scale of one to ten and being the best he was a zero. I called in to report this incident with a lady named Cindy, she said she would report and get someone to call me back. At this time, I have not heard from anyone concerning this very important matter. I feel as if they took my money and were not going to look into my situation. So, I am going to stop payment on my money order. It is sad that in this day and time you cannot trust anyone to do what you pay them to do or to give you good customer service, and satisfaction. I was Harassment by this worker of Allen Service Company name Chris in my own home.

Requested a heat pump replacement estimate. They set up a date. The day of the inspection they called to let me know the estimator was in route. He met my wife did the inspection. A few days later we received the estimate by e-mail. Based on price, I did not pick this contractor, but from what I have seen they are professionals. I wish my price point was higher so I could use them.

I called them at 8 am to schedule an appointment to have a thermostat. At 1015 there was an employee named Chris here. He worked very quickly and well. Turns out I had a blown board in my HVAC unit which he was about to properly diagnose and replace. After about an hour and a half he had repaired everything and installed my new thermostat. Chris appeared to be an expert in his field and very courteous.
