Part of it was rotten under there. At least their incorrect work, they warranted it and there was no charge, but it caused a lot of work though, that I did have to pay for. The inside of my house on the ceiling got mold on it, so I had to call a local mold guy and there's only like one in the phone book. It was within Home Depot's warranty time. They did it wrong. I am a layman. I cannot judge it. I think they did some of it, like a final inspection to see if it was done right. I think they done some of that while I was away. Some of the time, the repairmen, across the board, if they can do it, they will not make an appointment with you. They will just come to your house because it's outside work. If there was a final inspection, apparently it was useless. I would say their price was about average, nothing terribly special. I can read about getting a new roof, but I cannot tell somebody that they did it wrong because I am a layman. I don't know. There was no pronounced attempt to follow up. It was just standing on a ladder and looking around. I've noticed when I have repairs done, a salesman will come out. He may or may not know anything about the work to be performed. He is selling you something. There is supposed to be a supervisor. It may be an owner of the company. The majority of the time, he is not there. He goes around from place, to place, to place. That's just a spot check. He really doesn't know what they are doing while he is not there. That is an irresponsible practice as far as I am concerned. It seemed like it was difficult to coordinate Home Depot coming out. It's not completely their fault. Part of the problem is my phone was breaking down. The appointment was set up to come and do the repairs and just happened they came and finally, the very same day that I was having work done to get repairs for the effect of the bad roofing, which was mold all over a portion of my ceiling, where their faulty practices were performed on my roof. The wood is already starting to get rotten. On the opposite side of the rotten wood that they destroyed, there was mold. That mold procedure is a rough one. The only thing I could say is that Home Depot may have more than one crew, so that would be their only saving grace. Just hope they don't get the crew that was sent to me.
Description of Work: They installed a new roof and it failed.

It was a high grade window. They also gave me another bid for a lower grade window for a lesser quote amount. They were extremely professional. I would have done business with them if not for the price. The lady who did the presentation was the most professional of all. However, she did not follow up either. She had some sample windows to show me. They showed up when they said they would.
Description of Work: Home Depot gave me an estimate for replacing 15 windows about two months ago.

It went well and bad. Home Depot works with GAF who takes care of the warranty for the roof that Home Depots contractors installed. They inspected the roof and informed me that there were a couple of issues that the contractors needed to fix. The inspectors called the contractors to have the repairs taken care of and an appointment was made. It rained on that day and no one showed up. I haven't heard from then since. They do come out when the homeowner is present so it is possible that the repairs were made and no one made a follow up call to me.
Description of Work: They replaced my entire roof.

They made the exterior of my house virtually maintenance free. Once they started, they were finished within in about three and a half weeks. I felt like the price was a little high, but everything was guaranteed, so I thought it was worth it. I was dealing with the at home services department. The accounting department I would not rate very high. There was a little snap on the billing and it took almost a month to resolve. As part of my service agreement, I was not suppose to be charged any interest for the first year and there was a little bit of disconnect in the department. The sales manger and project manager that worked on my house were great though. They took care of all the little details. They were first class individuals and a pleasure to work with. They were all well-educated and good to respond. They never left me hanging. They support the military and treat their employees well. I cannot say enough good things about this company.
Description of Work: I had a leak in my roof by the fireplace. They replaced the roof and the rotten wood with all new flashing that came with a thirty year warranty. My house has 1163 square feet of living space including two bedrooms and two bathrooms. They also removed my old siding and put new hardy board siding all the way around my house. I also had them install new 7 windows. They removed the old windows prior to installing the new ones.

They did a very good job and the carpet is high quality. Everything turned out real well and they were right on time. They cleaned up real well and the carpet looked great. I've used Home Depot for different things and they ve always done me right. I would recommend them to other people.
Description of Work: The carpet installers came by and installed one hundred square feet of nylon carpet and padding downstairs only. No other flooring was taken out.

This company is excellent. They are always true to their work and help you to find what you need. We had a great experience working with them and would definitely do it again. I thought that the workers were very friendly and polite. We moved into our new home and the rug was much worn. It was in desperate need of replacement.
Description of Work: We ended up getting a Stain Master to carpet approximately 100 sq. ft. The new carpet was installed in the three bedrooms upstairs, the hallway and the den.
