FRANK EMORY

I was very pleased with Frank's work, and was especially impressed that he bailed us out when we had a wooden garage door replaced that was installed--unprimed--the day before rain was expected. I wasn't aware of the forecast and sent Frank an e-mail asking him to paint the door when he could. He read his e-mail after work and called me to suggest he come out that evening to get the door primed. I gratefully accepted. The next day it rained buckets. When he had more time he returned to paint the door inside and out and also to repair multiple cracks in the ceiling of our rather large living room, work that required several layers of spackle and multiple sandings to get the desired smooth effect, work that could not be completed in one or even two visits. He also completed the other work described above (my list kept growing). I am (unfortunately) a detail person who is passionate about my home, and Frank puts up with me. He is not the cheapest painter out there but he is fair about pricing and does great work. I am pleased with Frank's work and will definitely use him again.

He does incredibly well. He's very trustworthy. I would leave my kids with him. He's quick, very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. He provides good quality paint and he even helps to pick the color. He makes sure it matches the brick and shutter colors.

Frank gave us an estimate, helped us pick paint colors, and painted our house for us for the price estimated. He was very patient with my indecision about color, especially with the shutters. He painted one shutter three different colors til we found the right one. He is very knowledgeable about color and he has his own tinting set, so you can experiment with color without buying quart after quart of paint (which does add up). Once you decide on the right color, he can have the paint store match it and write the formula on the can. With his guidance, we ended up with a main color, a trim color, and an accent color for the door and shutters. The house looks a lot classier that way, and he made sure we ended up with a color that works with our roof color (the shingles had touch of green, which made coordination difficult). He is very experienced, bright, and conscientious. I am hard to please when it comes to work on my house but he was patient with me and I was happy with his work. He was willing to make extra trips to come back and paint things I forgot to ask him about when he was doing the main job. He's not much of a talker, but he does very good work for a fair price. This is the second time I've had him paint my house, and I will definitely use him again.
