Salesman did not clarify the full terms of the contract leaving the impression that the contract was for a 12 month period when in reality it was for 36 months as was stated in the small print. Furthermore, he did not properly complete the total 36 month cost of the contract on our copy of the contract documents. As a result, the total cost of the contract could be, and was, increased by increasing the monthly payment. We subsequently discovered that the total cost we actually on the copy of the contract provided to the parent company billing department. Obviously, we are at fault for trusting the salesman and not reading the small print. However, the process is clearly one easily subject to deceptive practices for the unwary.

Installed wireless security system This eliminated the need to use our home "land line" phone system. My only concern was that the sales rep told me that I had to use the automatic deduction from my bank account, but I later learned that I could write a check each month, which I decided to do.

In 2007, I moved into a house equipped with an ADT security monitoring system. After activation, it was nearly impossible to have local service members come to trouble-shoot some windows with a temperamental contact, making them not functional on the security grid. Eventually, when I decided to upgrade my system to overcome the problem, the local service members were "no-shows" with no call, explanation, or rescheduling. After two years of partial home security and the another "no-show" I decided this company does not provide the security, responsiveness, or service that I need in a home security service.

They are no better or worse than any of the other alarm companies.

The only false alarm that we had was when our neighbor was taking care of our cat for us while we were away and she had forgot to shut off the system in time. The police had arrived and she explained what was going on. It was nice that they responded so fast to that. I have had no problems with them whatsoever and are happy with their service. I am really not to sure on the price we pay them.

THE NEW TECH POST BREAK IN DENIED THE GLASS ALARM WOULD COVER NEARBY KITCHEN WHERE THE BREAK IN HAPPENED EVEN THO I'D RELIED ON THEIR INSTALL TECH SAYING IT WOULD. MANAGER WOULD NOT HONOR LIABILITY PUNY LIMIT OF $500 BECAUSE THE MOTIONS WEREN'T ON. I'D BEEN TOLD "PET FRIENDLY" WOULD NOT ALARM ON CATS BUT DESPITE SEVERAL ADJUSTS AND TOLD THAT'S ALL WE CAN DO I KEPT GETTING FALSE ALARMS SO STOPPED. TECH SAID I COULD USE GLASS ALARM OR MOTION AND QUESTIONED INSTALL OF BOTH AT THE TIME. BUT NOW MGR SAID I HAD TO HAVE BOTH ON TO HELP ME EXCEPT GIVE ME HALF PRICE ON ANOTHER GLASS BREAK AND WAIVE SERVICE CALL. AND THE TECH HAD NO SIMULATOR OF GLASS BREAKING TO TEST ANY GLASS ALARM. I HAD TO BREAK DRINK GLASSES OUTSIDE A TRASH CAN. (TECH SAID NOT NEEDED "I TAPPED THEM AND THEY BEEPED SO THEY WORK")I DECIDED THAT WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. NEW ONE WORKED. LR ONE DID NOT AND THEY WOULD NOT LET ME TEST BR GLASS BREAK. WILL NOT REPLACE LR ONE WITHOUT CHARGING ME, NO COMPENSATION FOR FAILING ME.

We have accidentally triggered the alarm before, and they called us immediately to check for any signs of trouble. We could count on them to be there in case of a real emergency too, so we trusted them. It was inexpensive, and you feel good knowing you have them there.

We have used ADT in several states over the years, and they have yet to give us any reason to be disappointed in their service. Their response time has always been very rapid, and we were so pleased with them.

I have been using Brinks for a few years now and have never had any problems. Every time I have to call for any reason I get through immediately there are no long hold times like I expected. When they came out they showed us how to do weekly checks on the system to make sure everything was working well.

I like having my home protected by ADT because it makes me feel safe knowing that they have a good history and reputation. We have had a few false alarms and they were very quick to respond. And if anything ever goes wrong they will send someone out to check it for you.

ADT Security Services are very prompt to call you back if an alarm goes off. If your not home they will contact the Police Department. I like that. They are a very good company that makes me feel safe not only when I am home but also when I am gone.

We have had nothing but good experiences with their service. They had great response time and were always there when you needed them. They had great customer service as well. They were open to answer any questions we might have had. So far, so good, there are no complaints.

I had some issues with Brinks Home Security. The alarm was constantly beeping, and when I called was told that a technician would call me back. No one ever called back. I was very disappointed with this experience.

Brinks were the only monitoring system we have ever dealt with and if you accidentally set off your alarm not only would they call, but they would show up at our residence for confirmation that everything was okay.

I thought they did a good job of installing and activating our security system. It really gave us more of a true sense and feeling of having a very secure home. Since our system was equipped with many protective devices, they were always doing security checks on it just to assure us it was functioning properly.

I have no complaints about my service with ADT. I have never had any false alarms. The gentleman who came to install our system showed up on time and was more than willing to show us how the system worked. I will continue to use ADT in the future.

We have never had to use our system, and we felt that the signs they put in the yard and the stickers in the windows were a great deterrent in itself. We feel that we have, in a sense, two security systems in one. They were always making constant inspections on our system.

We got ADT because you always see the advertisements. You really do get the system for free and there is a small fee to install it. There are other upgraded items you can purchase such as glass break protectors for an extra fee. There was very little work to install it. The monitoring is around $35 per month. It works great; there are no false alarms with the police rushing to your home. It is the since of security when you are away that there is an eye on your home at all times. Your family just feels safer.

ADT has treated me well so far. I have had good service, and no false alarms. The people at ADT are very responsive if I ever have a question, and were very thorough when they were showing me how the system worked. I would recommend ADT to anyone looking for a little peace of mind.

They set up an appointment time with us to explain the alarm system and they gave us an estimate for the cost of the unit. It took about an hour to install the alarm system which was really great. We are pleased with how quickly it was installed and knowing that it will give us the protection we need. The price was very reasonable also.

We feel very safe having ADT monitor our home alarm system. We have never had a false alarm. ADT is linked directly to all of our local emergency departments, and they offer medical emergency response as well.

I have not had any alarms go off thankfully but I'm sure if the day came then they would respond immediately, they have an excellent reputation. I do think the price is a little high but I guess it's worth it to know your house and family are safe.

I have used ADT for several years in our home and they have given us nothing short of grade "A" service. They were very negotiable in regards to upgrading our system. They have always responded in record time for whatever reason our alarm was set off for over the years. We were pleased with their services.

I did not like having brinks monitoring my home for the simple fact that we had quite a few false alarms and I told them to disregard them and they still sent someone out to my home a few times which was very inconvenient for my family and neighbors. The good part was if there had been a real break-in they would respond very fast.
