When the technician arrived, I felt like he wasted a good amount of time walking around and rechecking unnecessary things like the thermostat multiple times. After explaining the issue and showing it to me, we agreed to have him put in more Freon to get us through until next year since it is fall. He explained the Freon would $90/lb and we would need about 1.5 lbs. When he is finished, he hands me a bill for $425. Needless to say I did not understand the added expense and did ask why the additional charges. Unfortunately I was working from home at the time and running a meeting teleconference which I had to put on hold to speak with the technician. He stated that the cost was for the Freon and 3 hours of labor at $85/hr. There is no way imagineable the technician was in my home for 3 hours, but due to my preoccupation with work, I wrote the check and he left. When my husband reviewed the bill, he was infuriated and I knew I had been ripped off. We contacted the owner the next day and was advised that they start charging labor from the time the technician is dispatched. Even with that, it still should not have been 3 hours and that's a lousy policy since they also charge a separate trip fee as well. Eventually after reviewing the technician's GPS, they decided it was 2.5 hours instead of 3 hours and sent us a check for $42. This Freon was the most expensive we have ever purchased in our 23 years of owning homes. We will never use them again and feel they are deceptive and a rip-off.
Description of Work: Investigated to determine why A/C unit on 1st floor not working. Identified leaky coil. Added Freon to unit - I did not want incur expense to replace coil until next year.

They are good I like them. I called the owner Gary and he walked me through the problem and told me how to fix it. Because of this they didn't have to come out. They are professional and very good.
Description of Work: I've had them work on my air conditioning more than my heat.
