Exceptional service! I called and got an appointment the very next day. The technician, "RJ" is very well trained, professional, courtesy and thorough...very thorough! He asked me some questions then immediately got to work testing the plumbing system for leaks- something you just can't do on your own. It all checked out great so he suited up in a wetsuit and spent a good bit of time in the pool underwater surveying the liner and all the fittings for leaks...and he found it! Or should I say them? But the best part, instead of just telling me I have a tear around the main drain and 15 or so pinholes and leave- he repairs them all! Its been almost a week and my pool hasn't leaked! It may be a job to him but to me, it has been a relief. I have been fighting this leak for months - tried everything I could do (and I'm pretty handy), even had 2 pool companies come out. It took about 2 1/2 hours but it was because he went over every inch of my pool then fixed all of the holes. You don't have to be there for them to work but I was just because it was facinating to watch him troubleshoot everything. They are fast, friendly, professional and honor the $25 Angie's List discount. I hope I never have to use them again but if I do.... Well done!!!!

American Leak Detectors came to my house and located leaks under my slab on two different occasions. Work was done promptly, quickly, and professionally. My only complaint is that the service is somewhat costly - but what are the alternatives?

Brian was very professional and friendly. I was quoted a price of $350. I had applied for the $25 coupon via Angie's list for scheduling a service call, but did not use it since Brian said it did not take him very long to locate my water leak area and he only charged me $300. I hope to never have to use American Leak Detection Company again because that would mean I had another water leak. One water leak in the main water line is enough for a life time. I will however highly recommend American Leak Detection to everyone I may came across that is in need of their help.

Service was great! They were clean and were very respectful. They accomplished the job in a quick manner.

The tech arrived on time and had called ahead first. He was friendly and got right down to business. The process was very thorough; I felt like though the cost was a hit to my pocketbook ($350. is, after all, three hundred and fifty dollars!), I got a decent value for the money spent. The guy pressure-checked the system, used dye, and checked every inch of the vinyl pool liner by getting into the pool with scuba gear. He also used sensitive sound-detection gear to listen for the sound of the moving water. The leak was pinpointed and well marked, and he explained what he'd found.

We had continued water damage issues. We just had the floor ripped up in two places through the concrete and repaired. Before the floor that was badly damaged was ever even repaired, we all of sudden had no water at all. We contacted the local water company at night who came out to tell us, we had plenty of water it was just not coming into the house. A plumber we contacted wanted to charge us $600.00 to dig up the front lawn and replace the lines, thinking we had trash in the line. We had already paid a lot of money before and wanted to be certain where the leak was without doing extensive damage to find it and be able to have the repair done in the location where it was needed. Contrary to a local company, American Leak Detection said if they did not find a leak, they would not charge. They met me at the house, even called so I could come home from work. When I got here the young man told me that he could already tell me that we did not have a leak, he had monitored the water meter while he was waiting on me to get there. Nevertheless he spend almost an hour with me, showed me how to read the digital water meter, checked various places in and around the house. He advised a new line into the house for $600.00 would not have helped me at all. From his experience it was most likely a pressure reducer going bad, which could cut off the water supply completely. I pointed out that we had a whole house water softener. He recommended that I start there first. I almost felt guilty for the time he spent and he did not charge me anything. All he asked that I give them a good recommendation. When I lateron contacted the company for the water softener and they showed me how to bypass their system, we all of a sudden had water again! American Leak Detection Service really puts the EXCELLENT back into customer service, something that is becoming harder and harder to find. To use you all their available equipment, the first two hours would have been $350.00 less $50.00 military discount and any subseqent hour an additonal $125.00 (most leaks can be found within the first two hours). They do not charge if they find no leak which is true, as I was not charged. They also guarantee that if the leak is not at the marked spot or another issue arises, they will come back within 30 days free of charge. The other service I had contacted quoted the same prices, except the military discount, but would charge regardless of what was or was not found. Big difference! If I ever need a leak detection service, I will not hesitate to call these folks and gladly wait since they are coming from out of town until they are available.
