Description of Work: I have a condo that I own and rent out. I was called by the tenants complaining that the commode was constantly running. I called A-Alpha plumbing to repair the commode. The plumber went to the condo at the time specified. I was not at the condo. He said he would call me when he got to the condo and let me know what was wrong and how much it would cost. I did not hear from him that day. I called the tenant and he stated that the plumber had been there and fixed the commode. I then called the plumber to see what the problem was and the cost. He stated that the commode was not fastened to the floor and installed correctly when the tile floor was laid. He said he fixed it and the cost would be $125.00, which at the time I thought was a good price. In August I went to the condo to get it ready for a new tenant. Upon cleaning the supposedly fixed commode I found it was very loose and rocking back and forth. I called my husband to look at it and he could pull the commode straight up off the floor. The commode had not been fixed at all. I have had to call another plumber to fix the problem that I thought was already fixed. It was temporarily fixed because the tenant had not complained about it anymore. My husband found that it was broken under neath and was not bolted down at all. Basically I was lied to because I was not there to supervise. I did not call this plumber back to fix it again or complain because I didn't have faith in him that he could actually do the job right. I just learned a lesson that from now on I will be there to supervise any work done.
