This guy isnt a licensed builder. He uses someone else's general contractors license. The person whos license he uses isn't a real builder either and didn't actually take the test to qualify for a gc license but was grandfathered in under the old system before testing was mandatory. Beware.

I used a builder Wade Wimberly in Muscle Shoals who several real estate friends recommended. I checked with the Better Business Bureau, and he had no complaints on file. Shortly after building, I noticed the floor in the living and dining room popping up. I contact my insurance company and they sent an engineer out who said it was bad installation. The flooring company and contractor said it was the plywood separating and cut out a 4 X 8 section in the corner of the living room to get the name of the company that made it. Mr. Wimberly kept saying it was the plywood, not what he had done. After that I noticed the walls cracking and doors not closing correctly, the floor you could see the floor joists impression through the flooring. I kept calling Mr. Wimberly, and after he got a letter from my lawyer, offered to provide the workers if I would pay for the materials to fix the floor only. The rest of the problems were due subcontractors whom he hired, not me, but he said he wasn't responsible for them, even though I pay Mr. Wimberly. An extra support beam was added and the 2 in the plans are in the wrong location and they started sagging. I took out a loan to jack the house up and replace the floor. The roof was leaking since installation, around the skylights, valleys, and vent pipes on the backside. I was told only one nail per shingle was used on the backside. The valley was installed in such a way, that the water is running into the screen porch. Mr. Wimberly sent a roofer out who put a metal guard at the bottom of the valley to run the water over onto the roof of the screen porch. This caused water to back up in the valley, and water started leaking into an exterior wall. Also the skylight was installed backwards, and the metal flashing cover was never installed. I had to replace the roof another loan. The garage door mounting boards were nailed up with finishing nails. Instead of a solid board in between the doors, two pieces of board were used. When the door mounting brackets were installed, the lag bolts were screwed into the crack between the two boards. As a result, the bolts pulled out of the crack with ease, and the doors mounting boards and all came off of the wall and the top of the boards warped in toward the garage. The doors wouldn't stay in the rails. It cost $600 to take these doors down and replace the mounting boards, and put the doors back up. The tile installers poured their left over grout down the toilets. This broke loose and clogged up the drains and flooded the floors and tubs with raw sewage on the night of the Tennessee Alabama game a few years ago. You can imagine the trouble I had getting a plumber out. The pipe had to be cut off and the grout cleaned out and the pipe repaired. Some of the sheetrock was not finished. The ceiling was blown, and now the unfinished seams have started to crack. Washing machine drain was ran into wall instead of septic tank which caused mold problems.
