Extremely well! The showed up on Saturday, walked the house, had an estimate within a couple of days with a date they could start said barring weather they would be with us start to finish. They worked fast, efficient and our house now looks better than the other houses on the street. You could barely tell they were there. No sloppiness. These guys are the best. I would highly recommend and will use them again when we are ready to do the inside stuff. Thank you!!

They arrived at my home on time. They made sure each room had the color I wanted before they started painting. It was a very simple without any mess job. It did not take a long time I was able to cook dinner and take a nap after lunch.

I provided my own paint for the hall bath. The paint color I selected was much yellower (is that a word?) that I expected. They were nice enough to help me get the correct color. Lesson learned - let the experts do their job. They were able to get the work done in a day and did not charge me for the extra trip to get the extra paint. I would use them again.

I contacted Tim Evans on May 23, 2014 and he gave me an estimate on painting the dormers on my house and staining my screen porch and deck on June . I contracted with him to do the work the and he asked for down payment check to be written out to him and not the company's name which I thought was a little strange but not unheard of. He immediately cashed the check that day. He started around June 13 and completed the work on June 18, 2014 and stated if anything needed correcting, that he would be glad to come back and fix any issues. I contacted Tim the next day to inform him that they missed some spots on the screened porch and that the stain on the deck was smeared and didn?t seem to be applied evenly. He promised he would come back in a few days. He had me email him pictures of the problems. He stated he was going to show the pictures to the stain distributor. To this day, Tim has not returned or had any communication with me. After multiple emails and me finally threatening to detail my experience to Angie's list , I was contacted by his brother-in-law who works for him. He promised to come by and to see the issue. He came by and contacted me stating that the stain didn't apply correctly but that he would try some things. He assured me that he was going to handle this to my satisfaction. He came by and did a test on one of the posts. I told him that what he did was satisfactory but not great but that if he would just do that to the deck, we would be satisfied. I have since emailed him on multiple occasions and each time he has promised to return but has still not returned to complete the work. He promised he would fix the issue on Sept 3rd. Today is Oct 4, 2014 and he still has not returned. I have run out of patience and will need to get and pay someone more reputable to fix his shoddy work. His company and he obviously care nothing about customer service and does not stand by his work. I feel like I was cheated and that his word means nothing. I definitely would not recommend Evan?s painting .

Unfortunately we had a meeting with our realtor the same day Mr. Evans came out to see our house, after he had left. Our realtor gave us the bad news about property values in our area and told us that we really shouldn't ask what we wanted to ask for our house. Bottom line is we are selling it for less than we bought it for, and after we have done many improvements and updates. We made the decision not to go ahead with the paint job as we would just be throwing more money at the house that we will not have a chance of getting back. I contacted Mr. Evans via email and told him what we decided and apologized. I asked if I could give his information to the next owners and he replied and was very gracious and understanding and said he'd be happy for us to pass along his bid. If we stayed in this area and decided to paint our house, Mr. Evans would definitely have our business.
Description of Work: I contacted Mr. Evans after reading the reviews on Angie's List. We had already gotten a few other bids for the job. Mr. Evans came out to our house when he said he would. He was very courteous, very professional and personable. You can tell he is very knowledgeable about his trade. We spoke about what I was wanting and he answered all my questions and explained how he would fix certain things before painting. He then went around the house by himself to see the whole exterior. When he was finished he came and found me and told me he'd send the estimate to my email. He sent the estimate to me the very next day. It wasn't the most inexpensive of the bids but it was far from the highest. Unlike the other estimates we had received, Mr. Evans detailed everything he would do to the house and ended by telling us he would do a good job and would appreciate our business. I found that to be a lovely detail as not one single one of the other painting companies said anything like that. I had already been leaning towards his company from reading reviews, but after meeting him and getting his estimate I knew that his was the only company we wanted to paint our house.

Great workmanship at a reasonable price. Had Evan's paint and caulk all of the windows, doors, eaves, gutters and downspouts, to include the garage doors. Tim and his crew do a great job communicating when there were weather issues which precluded them from working, and ensured that we were satisfied with each day's work before they left. I would definitely use them again.

Evans Painting was referred to me by a coworker back in 2006. I have used them before to perform interior painting and trim work. Since we are getting our house ready to sell, the color consultation was a life saver. Tim was careful to steer us towards neutral colors. I was pleasantly surprised that he did not try to up-sell the paint selection, rather he volunteered where we could use cheaper paint that was actually higher quality than what we had in mind. The project was completed on time and on budget. That was no surprise given my experience in the past. Tim Evans runs his business with honesty and a high level of care to quality. As a repeat customer we have been more than pleased with his craftsmanship and attention to detail. We will continue to use him on all of my future projects.

Evans Painting had to reschedule a few days due to a family emergency (his) which was understandable. They showed up as informed on May 13th ready to work. The work was completed in approximately 2 days. Mr. Evans and his workers were very pleasant. Upon completion of the job, I was assured that if there were any problems with the workmanship that they would come out to make the repairs. Within the first 3 weeks of completion, the stripping began to peel off. I contact the owner and was assured that repairs would be done. We have emailed each other back and forth for weeks now and to date (now Jan of 2014) still no repairs. After being promised by Mr. Evans and with several excuses by him that he was very busy but he would get to repairs, nothing was ever done. This was the worst decision I have ever made to utilize his services and would not recommend his service to anyone. Beware of this business, they don't care about their customers. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THE SERVICE by Evans Painting. I will probably have to have the work completely torn down and redone.

Mrs. [removed member name], I am sorry that you are not happy with the job but I have called you numerous times and left voice mails in an attempt to set up an appointment to come back and take care of any problems. The only problem that you told me about was that some of the trim strips had become loose. As you can see from the many positive reviews that I have on Angie's List, I always take care of my customers and am always more than happy to return for any touch-ups. I will be more than happy to come back and take care of any problems. Please contact me at the office number and I assure you that any problems will be resolved.

The job went as planned. Weather delayed their original commencement date by one day. They were prompt in the morning and the job took two and 1/2 days. I supplied the paint. I acquired another quote but Evans Painting came in less expensive. I just felt comfortable with the fellows around the house. They left some gear in the basement from one day to the next. I had new windows installed prior and they caulked them and painted. I had some water damage of Masonite on the porch and they replaced it with equivalent Hardiplanks. They repaired two fascia planks they were rotting. Just an all around good experience!

Tim Evans and family were all very friendly and easy to work with. Contracted with Tim to begin work on May 6. They came out to pressure wash and prep. Painting began on May 8 and they finished May 11. Noticed some areas of concern and they returned to retouching with no issues. A good group of folks and the house looks great!!

Tim showed up when he said he would to assess the job and provide an estimate. He provided a detailed estimate for all the work, He started the job when he said he would, and completed it all exactly as stated in the estimate. He ran into some additional complications that he had not planned for and did not charge me extra for the extra labor. And my house looks great.

Tim supplied palet of colors to choose from. We wanted Sherman Williams Super Paint which was used. Replacement of some masonite on two sides of the house was requested by myself. House is 40+ years old and moisture to the bottom of the masonite caused disfiguration. We requested that he use Hardy board which he arranged the purchase, pick up, and installation. Very pleased with installation of new materials as well as the paint job performed. Work was performed in a timely manner and painters were extremely neat. Workers were polite and professional.

Tim Evans personally came by and provided an estimate. He then called back the next day to follow up and make sure I received the estimate via e-mail. We discussed the price and decided on the amount of work that could be done within my budget. He and his company were very professional. They came when they said they would, did a wonderful job, and finished up the work very quickly. They took great care to match the paint and cleaned up well when they left. When Mr. Evans saw that my iron railing needed painting, he went and bought special paint for this and painted it at no extra charge. He also shored up my deck railing for me at no charge. I wish all contractors were as courteous and easy to work with as these people. The job was reasonably priced and the work was performed for the amount of the estimate. Mr. Evans left extra paint in case I need it later and told me to be sure and call them back if I had any problems.

They did an awesome job. They did what they said they're going to and charge what they said they are going to and nothing extra came at the last. Since they did a good job in painting the outside part of the house we will bring them back again to paint the interior part of the house. They were very polite and left no mess behind especially in my wife's interior lawn and so she is delighted with them. They came in just give us a ballpark of the interior painting job and we have set it but we're not there yet but wife is happy with it so that means a lot. They?re great company to go with. They were able to do their job on time. Their work is excellent. We compared prices and they were cheaper and that everyone else were overcharge just to come out and do the trim work though we want to go with someone that would do the trim work right and do the inside and other say no we will not do the inside at the same time but we will just do the outside and because what?s bigger job is the inside. They came out the next day after they talked to my wife and they came out and gave her a price and they asked us when they will start and we wanted it to. She is happy with their job and she feels safe with them around the house.

Overall, this would be considered a small job. I called three providers from Angie's list and received bids from two. Evans was the better price (although they were close) and Tim Evans said he could do the job in the same week. He did exactly what he said he would do, in the timeframe he told me, and I am very pleased with the results. The house looks so much better and it is great to have the work completed in such a timely manner. Tim is exceptionally friendly and polite. He even answered several questions I had regarding painting and exterior care of the house (mind you, that was not part of the job!). I would definitely hire Evans Painting again.

Evans painting is an outstanding painting company. They are more than painters. They painted the outside of the house late last year and just completed the interior a week ago. Very dependable, on time, trustworthy, attention to detail is what you will get when your hiring this company. The owner and paint tradesmen are top quality. I can't say enough about how happy we are with there work and approach to handling of our paint projects. I recommend them and will use them in the future for painting. By the way they are priced in the middle and deliver top price quality.

We had Evan's Painting do an exterior repaint on our home. We had received 3 quotes from other Angie's list listed contractors. Mr Evan's price was the best of the three and only Evan's took the time to call us back and follow up on the quote for a painting. I was actually shocked that none of the other contractors even called to make sure we received the quotes and to see if they could earn our business. After speaking with Mr Evan's we set up a date to have the work done that fit our schedule. Tim was very flexible with our scheduling needs. On the day of the prep he arrived and took care of the pressure washing and prep. The next morning he was here on time to complete the paint job. We had rot on our front door and they replaced rotted wood and even replaced another rotted board that was not in the original quote at no extra charge. After completing the job we reviewed the work together and we spotted an area that needed a quick touch up. They jumped on the ladder and took care of it right away. Mr Evan's told me to please call if I spot any areas that need any further attention. I am very pleased with the work we received and the professionalism of Mr Evans. . I will be in need of interior work soon and Mr Evans will be the first call I make.

They provided a complete itemized quote. They are intelligent and honest people, so they were easy to work with overall. Most of the work was done by members of their family (several brothers). They had two other worked to help them who did good work too. I would rate them an A on their painting and a B on their exterior carpentry repairs. They took care with their work and did a good job protecting our house, landscaping, etc. They had a little trouble with some of the trim replacement, but they worked through it and did a good job in the end with out me having to hassle them about it. I would have liked to see a little better prep work on the exterior wood trim, but it is a house exterior, not furniture. The paint job looks great 6 months later. I did call them back to re-do a couple of screened porch window screens that were looser than the others. They came right out and worked the punch list items the same week. I would hire them again with no reservations for painting. I might look for another contractor for exterior carpentry repairs, but their work in that aspect was acceptable. This was my first house-painting project with a contractor, so I don't have anything to compare them to, but I think that they are very intelligent, professional, and honest compared to a lot of painting contractors (based on what I have heard from friends).
Description of Work: Repainted the exterior of our home. Replaced rotten wood trim at chimney chase and several back windows. Replaced screens in screened back porch. Home has cement board siding on most sides and wood/pvc trim. House is two stories. Overall job took 4 days I think. They had 2 to 4 men working each day.

Their price for the entire paint job was very reasonable. Tim Evans, discussed all the particulars of the job prior to starting. They asked for a down payment of one third of the total payment which I felt was reasonable. The first day, Oct. 29th they came out to the house to clean it and remove mold. They did this with a power sprayer and a clorox solution especially made for cleaning houses. After allowing the house to dry the next day was devoted to caulking and painting. They caulked and paintied all day filling all cracks around windows, on the vertical 1x4 corners, around doors, pediments, chimney's etc.. Wednesday was devoted to painting what remained of the house and then starting the windows, soffet, shutters, and trim. All work was done by Thursday. Our house is a 4bdrm house and the men did a nice job for us giving the house a great coat of paint. The industrial sprayer they used really put a solid coat of paint on the house. Having painted my house a dozen years ago, I know a good coat of paint when it's applied and the Evans brothers really did a good job for us. The men were very pleasant and gave professional advice when needed. On Wednesday and Thursday, the day the windows were cut and trimmed they brought their Dad over who has been a painter all his life and who helped with windows, doors, and trim. Before leaving they told me it would take a couple of weeks before the window caulking cured, so they could come back and clean the windows. The driveway and surrounding yard were left clean and neat once the men were finished. The house was painted beautifully and my wife and I are very appreciative of the job Evans did for us. I highly recommend Evans Painting. This is a family of painters who are professionals, hardworking, fellows that it was a pleasure to have at my house for four days painting.
Description of Work: Our house was painted by Evans Painting. The house was cleaned, caulked, and painted. All nine sets of shutters on the front of the house were taken down, repaired, and given a good coat of paint on both sides. Our house was a clap board house that was more of a masonite construction so some preliminary work on nail holes, and unusually worn spots were repaired before painting. We at one time had a wood p***** and bat problem that was given extra attention by replacing the spokes at the top of the venting gable. Our house is three stories high in many places which meant using a ladder that was approximately 34 ft. or higher. The men used spray painting equipment which did a beautiful job covering our house with a very durable coat of paint. The windows were neatly hand painted and caulked with a brush and caulking tools. All areas that the painters worked in were cleaned up when the job was finished.

After getting 3 bids from "A rated" members, my mother & I chose Evans to do the work on her home. We were very impressed with Tim Evans and his family who did the work (3 brothers and father). Tim is 3rd generation painter along with his brothers. As important as their professionalism and reputation of competence was, it was the impression we got of their high standards and being "good folks" of genuine sincerity that led us to choose them. (the fact that their price was the best of the 3 only helped us to make the decision even easier!) They showed up on time, got the job done within a week, and were careful to cover and protect mom's antiques inside and were neat outside as well. Tim and his crew did a great job, inside and out, and we are pleased. We would recommend them to anyone, without hesitation.
Description of Work: Painted exterior of house; made minor carpentry repairs; repaired interior ceiling in dining room where plaster was damaged due to leak; painted ceiling & wall of kitchen.

A follow up phone call or email - even to say that they wouldn't take the job and the reason - would have been the professional thing to do.
Description of Work: I contacted Evans due to the references I saw on Angie's List. Tim Evans contacted me promptly by email the next day. I wrote to him that I needed a quote for painting exterior windows and some that needed repair. We set up a time for him to come look at the job. He was punctual, he looked at the job and then I never heard back from him after that.
