About us

With over 30 years of experience in the tree industry, Cahaba River Tree Service has the skills necessary to safely handle any project you have. We service both residential and commercial customers and are licensed and insured. Owner, Mark Whitfield, started in the tree industry in 1993 and has extensive experience working with trees of all sizes and locations. Since we cut trees from the top down, we are able to safely remove trees in confined spaces. We also provide and highly recommend stump grinding to improve the health and appeal of your property.

Would recommend to anyone! I called and he was out the next day for an estimate. We had a dead oak tree cut down and some dead limbs cut off another tree. They did an awesome job, arrived on time, and very reasonable!! Cleaned everything up and took less than 2 hours. Very happy!

These guys are great. Had a tough job on a steep hill and they made it look easy. Called for an estimate and the owner was at my house the next day. Gave his advice and helped me form a plan. Gave a reasonable estimate on the spot. Made my decision easy. The showed up even quicker than he estimated and did a fantastic job. Super friendly and professional crew. This is the ONLY service I will use going forward. You can't go wrong with Cahaba.

These guys are great. Removed 2 large oak trees overhanging our house, hauled debris away and grinded stumps. They even grinded up an old stump I had without asking. This was a tough job, so I expected limbs to hit the roof, but they kept it to a minimum. They let me know about one small shingle that was damaged on my roof. Love their honesty. Highly recommend and I'm sure I will use them next time.

Tree fell on the house, lines were down, had to get tree out of the way promptly to return power. Within 24hrs I spoke to the owner, got an inspection, and their team arrived to clear the tree. The owner was responsive, has a lifetime of experience with tree work and power lines. Will definitely use them again.
