Jamey was able to schedule within a 5 day time frame. He was extremely professional, arrived on time and spent 4.5 hours going over a 99 year old house I am purchasing. The report was complete with pictures and arrived by e-mail late that evening. It was extremely comprehensive and provided me with a lot of information that I would not have had otherwise. He found several potentially dangerous electrical and plumbing issues that are now being corrected by the current owner before closing. Some of which could have caused a house fire. He also found the central heating / ac unit was non-functioning. This could have been a several thousand dollar replacement for me had he not caught it. He was also kind enough to include some suggestions of ways to maintain the structure, thoughts on energy / insulation issues, spoke to me about possible ways to use the older fireplaces safely, etc. I would highly recommend Jamey and his company!

VERY thorough inspection. Jamey did an excellent job and checked every inch of the home. I have confidence that I know the condition of what I am buying after he checked it out for me. Very prompt in responding and scheduling the inspection to fit into my timeframe. I will definitely use him if I ever need another house inspected.

I called Jamey on Tuesday around mid-day and left a message, he returned my call within the hour. I was crunched by a contractual time frame and he was able to schedule me for the next day. Jamey arrived on time(3pm) and had already met the current owner and was discussing the history and details of the house when I arrived (I was late). He was very friendly and did not mind me following him around asking dumb questions. He pointed out some things that I needed to know regarding maintenance and upkeep, as well as current code vs. practices when the house was built. He did physically climb out on the roof and assess the chimney, gutters and of course the roof itself. He was on the property for 4.5 hours and covered every inch of the house. Overall, Jamey was very helpful and professional. Very reasonably priced for the time and detail taken. I would defiantly refer him to anyone.

The home owner had done some of the repairs I had requested without having the proper license. I immediately called Jamey and he came out to reinspect. He was very helpful and again presented a very professional report for me. I continue to be very impressed with his service and highly recommend him to anyone.

This provider was outstanding in every way. I was worried about finding somone I could trust because I am brand new to Alabama. I found him from a list of inspectors given to me by my realitor. I chose him based on my phone conversation with him and 6 other inspectors. His level of professionalism was above anything I had hoped for. He arrived early, had a professional appearance, came prepared for any situation, showed patience when the home owner was late to give him access, and then spent over 5 hours doing the inspection. During the inspection he took every opportunity to point out every detail he thought would be helpful. He did everything he said he would do and more. He took extra time to go over safety issues and to tell me about what to do for the house in case of natural disaster. He showed a vast knowledge of all aspects of the inspection and took a lot of pictures. He is a subject matter expert on the ongoing chinese drywall disaster and can provided an imense amount of information about it to me. He then produced extremely well done inspection reports that were very helpful. I highly recommend if you live in or around Birmingham, AL that you consider him for any inspection needs. I will be using Mr. Russell in the future.

Service is good so I do recommend him. He was prompt and on time, I was fighting time to get the contract closed so he gave me an appointment within two days of my calling. Work was through.

Jamey gave us truly outstanding service. When we had a hurry-up closing on a property, Jamey worked us in within 24 hours, showing up at 6 P.M, working until 9 P.M and staying up until midnight to e-mail us our (25+ page) report. He drove over 50 miles to get to us. All this for 250 measly bucks. (We felt guilty.) Just a straight-up nice guy, too. His work quality was top-notch. Even after move-in, we've been unable to locate a single thing he didn't catch. I'm really trying to find something to complain about so this doesn't sound like a paid endorsement, but I'm not having much luck. Just stop reading this and go hire the guy.
