Jennifer's Maid Cleaning Service

Description of Work: This company was supposed to do a whole house cleaning from previously having had floors sanded in 6 rooms and a hallway. When one pays a company 375.00 for what should have been a spic and span cleaning and finds debris on the floor after the clean-up company leaves and sanding dust clumped on window sashes and dust along the top edge of moulding along closet and windows and the same food grit in kitchen cabinets that were supposed to be wiped clean with a cleaning solution, it just turns one's stomach to find that the cleaning paid for was not as expected. I am completely disappointed in this company. This Jennifer will tell you that we did a walk through. We did a partial walk through after she called herself and her crew through cleaning as all the floors were wet. It is like she knew I would not do a complete walk through on wet floors, to do a more thorough check on the cleaning job. After this cleaning company left, I waited another 30 mins or so before I went in the house and start walking around on damp floors. That is when I started noticing not a complete clean-up job. When I wiped around the sink in the hall bathroom, I picked up sanding dust. Behind the door in the hall bath had not been swept, vacuumed, (by the way, the vacuum cleaner sat on my carport during their entire cleanup and was never used. This I know because I sat in my car (in the carport and where this vacuum sat the whole time just outside my car door) and got out of the way of this 'professional' crew as they did their job. (Who would think they'd have to stay in the house with a professional clean-up crew who got an "A" rating on this same site and the reason they were hired and 'dog' their every step!) I have taken (big mistake) my own vacuum and dusted the sanding dust from the window sashes and dusted the handles on the fireplace glass doors and wiped down the den walls, where I had to sleep last night. But for the rest of the house and the dust and debris left in the kitchen cabinets, and on top of door mouldings and such, I am taking pictures. And not cleaning another surface until my painter comes in Friday and see what he says about this so-called clean-up job performed by this Jennifer's Maid Cleaning Service. She knew the work involved when she took the job because it was discussed fully on the telephone and she was aware that it was what she referred to a 'construction clean-up job" and also from my having just bought the house and trying to get it ready to be moved into. She has left a message on my cell-phone voice mail that she will come back out to my house for fifty more dollars and do what she should have done for the 375.00. Sorry, I am not paying her another red cent and will not hire her again for any job!
