+ 0 moreThey charged me for 3 treatments for army worms. Later I found out that you can only kill them when hatching. It also seemed that they always found something more that needed done. I was almost Or even over $500 when I dropped them. I switched to Brownell Landscaping and he is doing a great job.

+ -1 moreThey are profession when they come to your house and talk to you. I am probably not going to renew with them. I don't think I am getting my money's worth because I can go outside now and see weeds on my friends lawn.
Description of Work: We have TruGreen. The do lawn maintenance for the dandelion and the other stuff.

+ -1 moreThis is a BAD company. They lie to get your business, and then they do not follow through on the commitments made. They are the worst lawn company I have ever dealt with and one of the worst businesses I have ever encountered. The most recent customer service rep I dealt with informed me that I had been "misled" by other employees. No, that would be lied to. I think that is their business model. They lie (which they call "misled") and never accept responsibility for the fraudulent actions of their employees.
Description of Work: The customer service rep showed up at my house on two occasions. I declined service. The second time he pushed hard and told me he had come back because he had approval from his manager to include shrub and tree fertilization alone with weed service. I signed up for one year and paid in advance. I attempted to pay by check, but he told me they refused to take checks and I had to use a credit card. On my next statement, TruGreen had billed me for both services -- lawn as well as tree and shrub. I called them and explained everything, and they said they would remove the charge and continue the services. However, they only continued the lawn service. I called to complain and told them I did not want to use the service once my prepayment was up. They said they would stop service at that time. However, they then attempted to fraudulently charge my credit card at the end of that year and have continued billing me despite the fact I haven't received service and despite the fact I called repeated times about this problem. I have spent hours trying to straighten this out. Unfortunately, the lie by the sales rep has only been compounded by future lies.

Description of Work: Hired them due to lack of satisfaction with old provider of lawn care. |They assured me of improved results, but results were worse than with previous companies. They also seem overly intent on notifying me of appointments or asking for input on my satisfaction, but to the point that it was annoying. One week 4 different callers inquired about my satisfaction and none knew about the other 3 callers. Oh yes, they are more expensive than many of their competitors.

+ -1 moreIt's good. They do what they are supposed to do. It's done very quick. They come, they do and they move one. I've never had any issues with them.
Description of Work: We have a continuous contract with them. They treat the lawn for weeds and put down fertilizer.

+ 0 moreWe like our lawn fertilization service; it has kept our lawn looking healthy and green. The technicians have always been friendly (sometimes we don't see them, if we aren't at home) and seem to do a good job. Our yard is pretty and it looks healthy. My main issue is with the company calling fairly regularly, regarding services after I've already turned them down. It's one thing to get an occasional phone call (though I really even prefer not to receive them -- I do understand this is how business is often made), but I'd prefer not to receive multiple calls after I've already turned down a service. It may've been an oversight on the company's part, but still something I have an issue with. Otherwise, we enjoy having a healthy lawn!

+ -1 moreThe servicemen do a good job. But I don’t really care for their office people as far as if I have to talk to somebody. They have done a good job as far as the guys that do the work. The actual people who come out to do the lawn work are very helpful, but the people in the office are not as polite as they possibly could be.
Description of Work: TruGreen takes care of my lawn as far as fertilization and pre-emergent weed treatment. This year, they have added lime. They do all round lawn care as far as chemicals are concerned.

+ -1 moreThe service was fine. The techs were professional and courteous. However, billing was a nightmare! I pre-paid for 6 months of service. I have no idea now how mush I payed. I told the person I spoke to on the phone that after the 6 months were over I would assess the service and decide if, IF, I wanted to continue. Well, the 6 months came and went and I basically forgot all about it, until I received a bill. Apparently, the 6 months had passed without my noticing and they just kept on coming. They even called around this time and I told them I wasn't sure if I was going to renew. Well, they still kept coming. I guess they came about 3 times after the 6 months was over and now the wanted me to pay for the times they came without my permission. I called and got the runaround, so I allied a few days later and got a very nice lady who took care of it, but in the meantime they (collections, I assume) called and called to the point I refused to answer. Anyway it all got sorted out eventually, but it was a real hassle.
Description of Work: Trugreen sprayed the yard for weeds, and to keep the grass as nice as possible.
