GREAT SO FAR WAITING ON INSURANCE ADJUSTER TO INSPECT AND GIVE THE BAD NEWS!

They brought a dehumidifier in to dry the floor. Said it would make the floor look like it had never happened. They left nails up in the floor that I ended up tripping over. They used my broom to clean up their mess. Their equipment left marks all over my kitchen floor that they didn't bother cleaning up. I would not use them again.

They pulled up the carpet in the hall. They put down blowers. It took 4 days to get things dried up. They were efficient and they answered my questions. Everyone that came out here was courteous. I was very happy with them. I think the price was fair and the quality was good. I called them and after 3 days I still had not heard back, so I had to call them again. Once I got a hold of them, they were here with in an hour and have been punctual since. I would use them again. They are going to pack everything and move it outside, then move it back in, and unpack it for me.

They did a very good job of removing the water & carpet padding. They were very professional & prompt. They got everything done in a timely manner. The communication was good as well.

They were really good. I thought they did a great job. They were here immediately. Their response time was good. They were thorough with fixing the problem.

The insurance company hired them. We had to pay our insurance deductible, but we didn't pay them directly. Since I didn't pay them, I don't really know what their prices were. The insurance company paid them. We dealt with two different crews. The first crew we talked to wasn't as good. My wife actually called and had a conversation with the folks at the insurance company and they sent out the second crew. The second crew was more responsive than the first crew.

The jet blowers were like sleeping next to a jet engine. They did a really good job. It was covered by our insurance. Our house was built in 1979. They came within an hour and took in the situation. They did their stuff and got in and out within a couple of hours. They left the fans and came in every day to check them to see how it was drying. They did a superb job.

For me, the water that had leaked in and collected was the secondary consideration. I can dry water. Servpro?s team told me on site in my house that they would handle the roof repair needs after the initial water leakage was stopped. After the first day of Servpro?s response, their supervisor told my house insurance not to cover the cost of roof repair or the drying because there was a pre-existing condition. That supervisor had previously worked for that insurance company. Since I was visibly upset by this news, the Servpro representatives assured me multiple times that the cost of the drying service would be less than my $500 deductible. They informed me that they would have someone contact me about the roof repairs I would need because Servpro doesn?t really do that work (thus, there were misrepresentations made to me by both State Farm and Servpro.) I was very upset to find out soon afterward that Servpro did not recommend any roofer, nor make good on the promise to have one contact me after the Servpro workers removed their fans. The serious problem in my house of a leaking roof was not addressed at all other than placing a plastic tarpaulin over an area and nailing it in place. The man who put the tarpaulin on the roof did not know where the leak originated on the rooftop, and I had to tell the tarp-nailer where to put the plastic cover because he was installing it 30 feet away from where the leak occurred. The charge for nailing down this piece of plastic (almost on the wrong part of the roof without my intervention) was $300.00. I have personally replaced the attic insulation Servpro took out and did not subsequently replace, even though a brand new, full roll was in the attic, 20 feet away. Because the real problem at my house was the roof leak that Servpro failed to address in any way, I had to hire a reputable roofing service to actually fix the problem I was facing from the first. The roof repair costs to fix the house?s problem by this professional, bonded, local roofer were only 1/3 the cost of Servpro?s bill to me for running fans and nailing down plastic. For this very lousy service, Servpro charged me $1377 and would not even respond to a letter from me and one from my lawyer. They have never corresponded with me in any way and have threatened by phone to pursue collections rather than address my complaints about overcharges. They are a very evil business, preferring to threaten their victims and never put anything but the bill in writing.
