Bold Roofing

After the flooding rains in early May 2009, I discovered two roof leaks. After talking with some friends, I was referred to Eddie Bishop at Bold Roofing. First, he tried to convince me I had hail damage and needed a whole new roof. I called out an adjuster who denied this. I also called out another roofing company for an estimate and evaluation, and they confirmed that I did not have hail damage. So then I got Eddie out just to fix the roof in the places where it was leaking. He supposedly fixed them, then painted over the water spots on the ceiling. Less than two weeks later, one of the water spots reappeared. I called Eddie back out and arranged for him to come fix it again. He showed up a little late that morning. I had to leave to go to a funeral. Sometime while I was gone, he left the house. When I got home in the early afternoon, I waited an hour and then called him. He'd fixed the roof and gone to a doctor's appt, but said he'd be back to paint the ceiling as soon as he was done. So I waited. About 5pm, he called and said he'd had to get something on his truck repaired that had broken while he was out, but he'd be back as soon as it was fixed. He finally showed up at 9:30pm AT NIGHT with his 8 year old son. It took him until almost MIDNIGHT to get the job done. While I was gone for 6 weeks just after this, the stain reappeared, meaning that the leak had not been stopped. I ended up having to pay another company about the same price to fix the roof correctly, and there's been no problem since. If I'd called the other company (Jones Bros.) first, I would have saved myself over $400. I have no doubt that Bold Roofing is good at roof replacements, but if you're just looking for a repair, save yourself the hassle and the expense and call someone else.
