 + -1 moreWe set up two appointments with Birdwood and neither was kept. The first approximant they never called to cancel and 3 days later they called and made another appointment with us for a week later. That day has come and gone and we never received a cancelation or we're sorry for not keeping our appointment. A very poor business practice in my opinion! I've made many calls to their business and 99% of the time they never answer the phone .
Description of Work: A waste of my time waiting on them to keep and appointment they never kept.

Description of Work: Mr. Bird with Birdwood Floors appeared to be a knowlegeable professional with many years of experience in hardwood floor repair. Initially he agreed to work with our homeowners insurance carrier and mortgage bank in order to receive payment after we had filed a claim. Mr.Bird's attitude changed when he was asked to provide a copy of his business license and the 2014/2015 tax form detailing his tax ID number by our mortgage bank that contains his tax identification number. Mr. Bird became upset and implied that we were dishonest, and would not pay him. I reminded him that he initially agreed to be paid by our insurance company and mortgage bank and we would not be directly paying him. Mr. Bird stated he would try to get the information that was requested. After two weeks Mr. Birdwood had not called and did not return a telephone call I made to him.

Description of Work: Birdwood Floors installed some engineered hardwood floors for me. His 2 installers, Chauney and Terrell were great, professional, and prompt. They cleaned up after everything they did. Mike came by both days his guys we working to check in.

Description of Work: very strange experience.If they treat all their clients like they did me;I do not see how they stay in business.Mr.Birdwell came out;gave me a quote and said his brother would schedule a starting date by calling me.He never called and I called several times and noone in his office ever returned my calls.Very unprofessional!Fortunately,I had a friend in the real estate business who got someone out here right away and did a super job at a cheaper price than was quoted me by Birdwell.

Description of Work: I had damage to my wood floors so I called Birdwood back to help me with the repairs. Mike came out and provided me with an estimate that was very reasonable. Once I ordered my wood I was to call back to set up an appointment for the install to begin. I ordered my wood which took a while to come in. Once I received it I tried multiply times to call Mike, leaving message after message. Needless to say since they had done such an amazing job I really was prepared to wait to be put on their schedule. Sadly I called weekly for a month and not a response, not even a return phone call saying they would get to me but were busy at the time. I ended up having to call another installer to put my wood in. I would use Birdwood because of the quality however not being able

 + -1 moreMike's crew installed the prefinished Bellawood that I had already purchased for the construction of my new home. He was swamped with installations going on, but had his crew work at night in order to get my floors installed in time so I could close before I lost my interest rate lock. Despite the one week deadline during one of his business times, my floors were installed and looked absolutely beautiful. His crew is extremely professional and did an amazing job installing them. His price was also very reasonable. I will always use Birdwood for any installation of future hardwood flooring

 + 0 moreCrews arrived on time, called when detained past stated arrival time. Started work immediately and preformed work effeciently and in a timely manner. cleaned up and removed all trash and materials after each work day.
Description of Work: Removed water damaged hardwood flooring in 2 rooms plus hallway, secured all exposed wood screeds to concrete slab with anchor pins, installed new hardwood flooring, sanded and applied 3 coats varnish, installed quarter round molding.

 + -1 moreGreat experience. Mike gave a reasonable quote and started work within a tight window we had prior to moving into an older home. We had some areas where we had the floor repaired and Mike applied a stain to those areas so that they would match the older wood in the home. I'm very happy with the end result.

 + -1 moreApproximately 10years ago I attempted to have existing wood floor damage repaired with this company. They provided estimate and set start date....many moons later owner showed up to discuss starting job, at which point I politely declined. Now I was beginning to question my own memory and decided to give them another chance as I need entire home done. Owner showed up promptly, gave great feedback and encouraged my "desire" to have the work done. He told me upon leaving that he would email an estimate and could get started in about two weeks. (worth noting that I told him/reminded him of past experience at the beginning of this appointment. He acted as if this was unknown to him.. Okay, everyone deserves a second chance.) It is now 4 1/2 weeks later and I haven't heard a peep from them. I actually sent an email about 2 weeks ago asking him if he was interested in the job and confirming that he had my email correct (which he had me write down for that reason). I guess I should have expected as much due to the first experience. At least now I know that my memory is fine!!! P.S. I have shared my frustration with several locals who all seem to know that this is their "reputation"!
