I didn't use them, after I heard they were talking with other company about my possible job.

Steve came out twice to estimate the job, once when we only wanted to cut the medium (50ft tall) and smaller tree (30 ft tall) in our backyard, and a second time when we wanted to also cut down our double tree, each side about 65 ft tall. Steve was 2/3 of the price of two other highly rated tree services. Steve wanted to come in less than a week, but accomodated our schedule for a Thursday, about 10 days after we contracted with him (one other tree service wanted up to 2 months before they could come). Steve's team was very professional, and had all trees cut and removed on the first day, and ground the stumps the following day. Cleanup was excellent, including removing excess chips from stump grinding and air-blowing the entire yard clean. His team cut down an extra bush and Steve personnaly sprayed or cut a number of sumack vines for us without cost. Steve and his team were good to their word, and did an excellent job.

I hired Mr. Steele to grind and remove two tree stumps from my front yard. His crew was very professional and did an excellent job. They cleaned up afterward and would not accept payment until I was satisfied. I will not hesitate to use their services in the future.

Steve and his crew did such an excellent job, the trimming was done tastefully and effectively. Steve came and gave us an estimate, and then his crew came just when he told us they would. They did all the work in one day, and cleaned up so well we could hardly tell anyone had been there. I highly recommend Alabama Tree Service, Steve and his crew do exceptional work at a fair price.

This company was extraordinarily responsive to my needs. I sent them an email through their website asking them to look at a tree I was concerned about in my yard. Not only did they immediately respond to my email, they were able to meet me at my house that evening. In addition to safely removing the tree, they trimmed all of the trees on my property, removed all of the debris (some that they hadn't even created), cleaned up the leaves, made little garden zones in my yard and made some recommendations on things that would help with drainage in the yard. The price was as indicated on the original quote and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a tree service. I will definitely be using their service again.

My goal was to get the gutters cleaned without using ladders all around the perimeter which would tend to damage shrubs and perennials that are planted near the house. Previously, I'd had a tree company do this with a two man team--one sitting on the ridge of the house with a rope spotting the second guy who went around the edge cleaning the gutters. Alabama Tree Service guys did it by walking around the edge of the house with a high powered blower. They then cleaned up the leaves where they fell on the ground. Total time--maybe an hour. It is a very high roof, but he was fearless. I had looked up what gutter cleaning typically costs--$100 to $300 (http://www.homeadvisor.com/cost/cleaning-services/clean-gutters-and-downspouts/) and I offered to pay $200 for my two story house. Given the quick work they made of the job, you could argue that amount is a little high, but I was very satisfied to get a company that would do this quickly, efficiently, and come out at all. It's hard to find folks that clean gutters. And given I wanted the work done from the roof, I'm paying for somebody to take a risk that I don't want to take myself. They were happy with the $200, and you might negotiate a lower price especially for a one story house, smaller house, or one that didn't have gutters on all sides.

They did great. Trees were cut and trimmed without any damage to the many, many shrubs, small trees and perennials that are planted all over the yard. In addition, two more trees on my get-it-we-have-time list were cut and one more tree was limbed up to allow more light to get to my yard. Their price was less than half of another company. In addition, the team was just a nice group of guys. They also came out a couple of weeks ago and blew the leaves out of my gutters by walking around the roof with a blower. I wouldn't do this for love nor money--the roof is medium steep and in some places is 25 feet above a very hard landing on concrete. But it was fast and saved moving ladders around, over and through all my shrubs near the house.

They took care of it the same day we called, did a great job, were very professional, removed the tree, ground down the stump, and left the yard and the gutter in front of our house cleaner than it was before! Amazing. They even removed a large dead limb that had broken and fallen in our oak tree that was still stuck up in the tree free of charge. We certainly can't guarantee that they will be able to do the same for others, but we highly recommend giving them a call.

Alabama Tree Service has a very knowledgeable, professional team and all of the necessary equipment to handle large and dangerous tree removal. They expertly trimmed or removed numerous trees for us which greatly improved the appearance and safety of our landscaping. They could not have done a better job of cleaning up all the debris which was generated. I highly recommend this tree service for all of your tree related projects.

I had a large bradford pear tree approximately 30 feet tall in the backyard that had developed a large split down the center of the trunk. The tree was between a privacy fence and pool and would have caused damage to either or both if it had fallen. I called Steve Steele on a Sunday afternoon and he came out to take a look. By the next day, his crew was onsite and within 3 hours had the tree down with no damage to fence, pool, or any other property. His crew moved and replaced plants and lawn furniture and made sure to clean up my yard and my neighbors yard of any debris. I'm completely satisfied and would recommend Alabama Tree Service to anyone.

They never showed up to do an estimate or called me back.

Late on Friday afternoon, one of our tenants phoned and reported that a large tree had fallen on her house. It had been raining all day however the rain had stopped for a few hours, but more rain was predicted through the night. At about 4:00 p.m. we called Alabama Tree Service, hoping that perhaps we could just get something done to keep the roof from leaking and causing further damage, particularly to the tenant's belongings as well as the interior of the home. To our complete amazement, the folks at Alabama Tree Service (who had just finished for the day, and were preparing to go home for the evening), agreed to come over and take a look to see what they could do. Steve (the owner) got over to the house in just a few minutes and called his crew with instructions about what to bring for the job. In about two hours they had cut the tree (which was lying from one end off the house to the other end, crushing one corner of the house and puncturing the roof in 6 places) into pieces and removed it from the house, moved the wood from the back yard to the front (in preparation to come and remove it), cleaned all the sawdust from the roof, patio and walkways, raked all the debris (including the leaves that the tenant had not yet raked this year...), put everything into a (large but neat) pile in the front yard near the street. In addition, they covered every hole in the roof, carefully lifting the shingles and placing the plastic under the shingles and nailing it in place, covering and sealing the cover on the damaged wind turbine, covering the damaged corner of the roof/fascia to prevent water from coming in that area. Every one of the guys working on the house was extremely polite. They wasted no time and were completely professional. Steve, the owner, and David the Director of Operations, were so pleasant and helpful. David kept the crew and area safe throughout the whole operation, tying off the tree when needed and always looking out for the safety of the people around him.. The next day (after heavy rains that night), the tenant reported that the roof had not leaked at all! David called me to let me know that the crew was working on a nearby job and when they finished, they would head over to our house and remove the remainder of the tree, including the stump. We drove by the house later, and everything was gone! We simply cannot express how fortunate we were to have these great guys come to our rescue! Thanks, Alabama Tree Service!

They did it all in 5 hours and did not stop working till they were done. They had a truck come in and remove all the debris and they detailed my yard better than I do and not just in the area they were working in.

They did a fabulous job of responding to our call to remove the tree. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. After they removed the tree in October, 2012, he told us to call him in the future when we got all of the brush and weeds out so he could grind the stump. The price he quoted for grinding the stump was reasonable at $100. The problem is that we haven't been able to get him to come back and do the job. We made an appointment for him to come by and look at the job in May, 2013 and he never showed up. No phone call to say he couldn't make the appointment. He did not return any calls. My rating is an overall rating of my first experience which was great combined with my second experience which could be classified as "unresponsive. "

They did a great job. They cleaned up, didn’t leave a mess, and were very efficient.
