I called this person to help me do some work with ceiling fans. I called the number and someone answered, but the background noise was so bad that he couldn't hear me, so he kept saying hello until he hung up. that's not good business in my opinion.. he lost $200.I hired someone farther away.

This was the second time we had called on Milan to do work for us since our first experience was excellent. (The first experience was about a year prior and involved gutter cleaning and repairing a roof leak; both tasks were performed flawlessly and professionally.) This experience involved another gutter cleaning, which was done perfectly, and installation of two LED flood lights in existing roof-mounted fixtures far, far higher than I have a ladder to reach or an inclination to climb. In addition, I called on him to help me deter a woodpecker who had once again pecked a large hole in the corner of the second story of our house. I explained that I wanted the hole patched, of course, but that I also wanted bird netting draped over the area to prevent the woodpecker from returning. He understood exactly what I was asking him to do and did it per the details of my request (the woodpecker has not returned, I'm pleased to report). As with the other jobs, he asked me to examine his work carefully and make sure it was satisfactory before he left. He also stated that if for any reason I decided I was dissatisfied with anything he did to let him know and he would come back and make it right, which I know he would, but I also know I won't need to. We agreed on $300 for all the work combined, which I considered a very good deal since the wildlife management company I won't name that I had paid $600 to deal with the woodpecker problem the first time wanted $200 to come back just to hang the netting again (unlike Milan, they offer no guarantees on their work, I discovered). Milan is a genuinely nice person and a consummate, ethical professional who wants his clients to be happy with his work. I highly recommend Milan for the tasks I've described here and for any other general handyman needs. I won't be calling anyone but him in the future.
