Third time wasn't a charm, unfortunately, Immediately after Mr. Harvey left I turned on the overhead light, plugged in the vacuum and 'pop' goes the breaker for the master bedroom. And it kept happening. So I left a voice mail message the next morning. And afternoon. And late afternoon. And then an email through Angie's List. No response for three days and unable to use anything electric in the master bedroom (computer, telephone, stereo, lights). So I called South Baldwin Electrical and they were out within two hours. Made a few adjustments in the three-pole wiring and everything is fine. Still have the crooked closet light installation with the 2" gap between the base and the glass panes but I'll deal with that later. All this could have been avoided if Mr. Harvey had responded to any of the messages.

Did a good Job. Only complaint is that they deducted 1/2 hour of the 2 hours as travel time. Keep that in mind. I had a stopwatch going becuase I had 2 hours to get several items done, at the end of 1-1/2 hours, guys says 'done'. I was surprised.

Absolutely perfect. Removed the old fixtures in great condition so they can go to Habitat for Humanity and installed the new ones. No mess, no fuss. Matter of fact, I've just hired them to come out and do more 'Fixing What the Builder Flubbed' work. At least this time, things will be done correctly by electricians who definitely care.

The lights in my kitchen were not working. They eliminated the things that they could but there was not sufficient time in the hour to fix the problem. It was determined the problem was with the wiring in the wall. He also talked to me about my house having aluminum wiring, and gave me his recommendations.

Steve is awesome! Very knowledgeable and identified problems we didn't even know about! Very lucky for us as unaddressed electrical issues can be dangerous! Master Electrical Services has done work for many of my friends who feel the same way - I recommend him to everyone I know.

This was an Angie's List deal for two hours of work. As with all small operations, it's not realistic to expect someone to jump immediately and rush to your house to complete the work the minute you first attempt to contact them. It took a while to arrange a mutually convenient time for the work. But when we got that sorted out, Steve was efficient, polite, and competent. I would remind anyone buying a set amount of time that you must divide that time by 2 if Steve brings another electrician, as he did this time. That made all the work go much faster.

I had cleaned the two light fixtures over my bathroom lavatories and, undoubtedly, loosened a wire in one of the fixtures. When I replaced the bulbs and turned the lights on, sparks came out of the switch. I immediately turned the switch off and went to Angie's List to find an electrician. I contacted Steve Harvey, Master Electrical Services, LLC, based on the reviews I read on Angie's List. Steve was en route to Birmingham but put me in touch with Craig Hamilton. Craig was here in less than 90 minutes and took care of both problems in less than 30 minutes. He was prompt, polite and very professional. I couldn't have been more pleased with the work that he did. During his visit we discussed other electrical work that I needed done. Craig suggested replacing some items rather than trying to rework them. I'd not thought about replacing the items, but after talking with Craig and getting his input, I will replace the items because that would be the most cost effective approach.
