Do not use this contractor. He comes across as professional and reasonable. This is not the case. The roof was replaced. It never stopped leaking. He would never return to try to correct the work, but kept sending other people. He even sent his exterminator buddy to correct the roof. After 3 failed attempts to fix the roof, we had to hire another contractor and pay 2,000 more dollars to fix his work. On top of that, we had to pay to have the ceiling repaired from water damage. He said the problem was resolved. It was not. So, that led to the new paint/repair being ruined again!! He said he could repaint it. He refused to buy the proper paint, and the color did not match. Plus, his sloppy work slung paint all over the crown molding, which I also had to pay to fix. Steer clear!! Tell your friends!!
Description of Work: Replaced roof. Repaired water damage to ceiling and painted ceiling.

Initially, estimates were reasonable and seemed to be very knowledgeable and driven to perform work. We did add projects as the work began, but estimates escalated. Too many jobs started at one time before completing previous ones. Mr. Copeland and crew were not punctual, arriving to work mid to late morning, only to leave for 1.5 to 2 hour lunch breaks, returning mid-afternoon only to work couple more hours before stopping for the day. Often times, when general materials and supplies needed, the entire crew would leave the job to go pick up items. Supplies could have been purchased and on site for better use of time. Very unorganized. Toward the end of our experience, Mr. Copeland would leave with his crew for couple days at the time without communicating. We were left with no other choice than to hire other contractors to finish what had been started. Several jobs started and left unfinished, which he had been compensated for. He promised to return but to no avail. Items damaged during remodel process, which he promised to replace but did not. Began as very enthusiastic contractor. Not sure what evolved which caused the change. Good potential to be a fair to good contractor but lacks organizational skills and time management skills.
It took 2 workmen the better part of 2 days to do the entire house. Our brick surface did not require a lot of prep since the rough finish of the brick already had plenty of 'texture' to grab the stucco compound. The job went smoothly and quicker than I was expecting. The masonry guys made it look so easy when they applied the stucco compound. They were very neat and left no mess for us to clean up. That was 8 years ago and the stucco has not flaked or chipped and the color is still fresh looking. I decided on a 'smooth' finish to lessen the chance of a decorative troweled finish catching and holding airborn dirt and blowing plant trash. Best thing we have done to the exterior walls .We were amazed at how much it deadens outside noise and insulates the walls. Bill Copeland is very easy to work with.He gave us the addresses of a few homes where he had done the stucco work so we could actually see the home instead of just a picture. He provided us with a lot of color selections and answered all our questions to our satisfaction. It was a real pleasure doing business with Mr. Copeland.
Description of Work: We contracted to have stucco applied to cover the entire exterior of our home, covering a very rough textured, ugly colored brick that caught and held every kind of airblown dirt and plant trash.

They were satisfactory and were good communicators. They responded to my calls. They dragged their feet a little bit, but I wasn't pushing them and didn't require or ask them to hurry up. They also did a job for my daughter, but it didn't turn out well.
Description of Work: Copeland Contracting did some pressure washing, cleaning, flooring, interior painting, and minor carpentry work.

The owners of the the company, Blake Copeland and Merle Brown arrived on a Sunday afternoon at the time previously established by phone. After an extensive review, they were able to show me photos, taken on a cell phone, of the damage to my roof causing the leak. They contacted me very soon after leaving with a very reasonable estimate on the job. As promised they arrived the following Monday ready to work. They worked several long days until dark to ensure that the job was done correctly. Upon completion, they were able to show me photos of the repairs. They are exceptionally kind and courteous. While working in and around my home, they offered to do other small tasks for me just out of common courtesy. Since this initial job, they have done another roof repair on a separate area of the roof, they have painted an interior room in my home. They have also repaired a ceiling, done a small amount of carpentry work, and some minor electric work. As the owner of a historic home, which is always in need of repairs and improvements, my family feels extremely fortunate to have found such kind, intelligent and competent craftsmen who are skilled in so many areas.
Description of Work: Leaking roof was determined to be caused by roof damage surrounding a chimney. Repairs were made and leak subsided.
