American Flooring, Granite and Cabinets

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SHYSTERS. TERRIBLE PEOPLE and you will regret it. We met W owner *********************** on 10/18/22. Seems nice but is only interested in separating you from your money. We ordered new granite and cabinets for 2 baths n a kitchen. We told him we were leaving end of Oct, back 12/28/22. He said everything would be done before we came back. No problem we were told. It was a HUGE problem. The cabinet installers are complete incompetents, installing all upper cabinets upside down. They had to be ripped out and new ones installed. They caused a water leak from disconnecting ice water line. Left it dripping 6 days. We had to call plumber and mold remediation co. Its now beginning of January and we have no where to live. Make plans to stay at a condo nearby. $5000 out of pocket cuz it took forever for new cabinets to come. Cabinets get installed but missing glass and handles. Takes 6 weeks to get those. We had to straighten out and caulk the granite installed as they didnt know what they were doing either and the sinks leaked! Get the final bill and these a$$holes give us a reduction of our $5000 out of pocket expenses and CALLED IT A DISCOUNT! How dumb do they think people are?? I hate my new kitchen and baths. Makes me sick to look at them and realize I paid to get screwed this badly. Dont do business w this company. There are plenty of other mediocre companies you can choose. The whole small project took 5 Months! They signed a deal took our money then thru horrible incompetent installers on the job and we had to absorb all the problems and pain they ended up causing. We continuously felt like we were in a scam. Take your money and put up with whatever $hit we throw at you. It got to the point that we didn't want their people coming in the house because they always set us back causing additional problems. They Cracked the bathroom granite, installed it anyway and then blamed it on us! Do not take a chance with this company go somewhere else! So unbelievably sad that they ruined or kitchen and bath remodel...

Poor, poor experience. Installers left small job half done and didn't return over long weekend. Attempts to work with the company, including the owner, went nowhere. Price paid was comparable to Lowe's, Home Depot. Suggest trying a respected locally owned business with a good reputation for customer service. The hassle of working with American Flooring was no treat.

Flooring in kitchen and dining room looks good except they cut around flooring strips on all 4 - 2 exterior & 2 interior doors. The areas around flooring strip's look unprofessional and unfinished. These areas are already coming up. I had to buy wider door strips to cover hacked up floor areas. My biggest complaint is my new fridge lost it's grill at the bottom and no one bothered to replace it. Not the company or the contractors. Yes, the work there is sub- contracted. I do not like sub-contracted work because each party blames the other and problem is never solved. They group that installed flooring were loud and unprofessional. I would not recommend flooring install. I am disappointed in the lack response from American Flooring, Cabinets & Granite. We called and the company was going to have sub-contractors to contact me for repair & replacement of fridge grill. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM EITHER! NO FOLLOW UP FROM American Flooring, Cabinets & Granite.

We liked the carpet that we picked out. However we had to call them back after they installed the carpet because there were wrinkles or bubbles in the carpet. It looked like they didn't pull it tight enough. They sent two other people out and they did their best to pull the wrinkles out of the carpet, but there is still a bubble around the fireplace so we will neve use them again. I would not recommend them because we were not pleased with the end results of our carpet. The carpet is still not right.

We recently purchased a condo in Orange Beach, but live in Wisconsin. The carpet in the condo appeared to be original and we wanted to replace it. Using Angie's list we filtered for reputable contractors. The choice was between American Carpets and one of the big-box chains. The cost was nearly identical, but it was one-stop shopping with store that focused on carpet installation. This was a no-brainer. We worked with Dennis. He was extremely prompt and steered us towards the correct carpet for the unit.

They were very good and they had an excellent sales person. The people that came out were very neat so they were good. They were neat and clean and got the work done quickly. They weren't under my feet for very long. I like what they did with the floor. They were here within a couple of day to to the work and they were on time.

They were very neat and quick. They moved my furniture. The two guys were very fantastic! They put two different colors of molding on my floor; one in gray and one in brown and they still haven't come to fix that. Other than that, I'm very happy with the turnout and I would use them again.

Stopped in and saw Micheal and he came out that night and measured. Had it the next week. Down and installed in an hour by two guys who were fast, pleasant and did a great job. Great service. Super sales guy who saved me around $50 after he measured! Happy!

I recommend American carpet to purchase, they have a great selection and great service but hire your own installer.

Professional and courteous sales service. Management is engaged, knowledgeable, and informative. Patient with customer selections--never pushing for a sale or toward a higher end product. Responsive once sale made. Installation promptly scheduled. Installers were great--punctual, professional, mindful of keeping area clean and respectful of the fact that we were living there during installation. Very thorough. Overall excellent job. Involvement of store manager in the process and professionalism of top-notch installation team particularly impressive. Would both recommend and use again.

They did a good job, and I did not have any problems with them. Everything they did was done well, and they cleaned up very after themselves.

Did a nice job. Carpet was installed within a week of first contact. Gary Humphrey assisted us and was very helpfull.

They were excellent. They put a sub floor down and then put in ceramic tiles. They were good and I would use them again.

FANTASTIC!!! We interviewed over a dozen companies from "trunk slammers" to major national outfits and no one came close to the professionalism, knowledge and price of American Carpets in Pensacola. I was so impressed with the installers that I promised them I would be sure to write a review on Angie's List to tell everyone! Well, here it is and I hope it helps!

They came out and we were at our indecision stage, so we hadn?t decided what all we were going to do. We were remodeling our bath. They were helpful. They came out when they said they would. They were willing to work with us, but I just didn?t find the product that I needed. But like I said, we were still in the indecision stage so it?s not really fair to give them anything less than good because anything that was wrong was my fault from not knowing what I wanted to do.
