The electrician and his assistant were courteous,effecient, knowledgeable and fairly priced. I will continue to use their service and recommend their service to everyone I know.

Mr. Robert always stopped before entering my home and put on covers over his shoes so he would not dirty my floors. He is such a nice and polite young man. He explained in detail exactly what the problem was and what was needed to fix it. Not once did I feel uneasy even though he was a stranger in my home and I was alone. He will tell you he is a Christian and I have no reason to doubt him. I would trust him again should the need arise.

I used JCE in the past to install 3 ceiling fans, installed expertly at competitive cost. This job was simple: repair an electrical outlet to a water heater. When setting up the appointment, we were told of the trip fee $69, but not that looking at the problem was additional cost. We told them what the issue was, but they insisted that a diagnostic ($209) had to be done, so now we're up to $278 just for showing up and looking. Working out of a fee book, they then indicated a cost potential of over $1,000 to fix a problem they had not yet looked at. All we needed was an outlet to a water heater replaced and as it turned out upgraded to code (no issue there). When we called the office to complain that they had not told us about the additional $209 diagnostic, all we got was excuses. Had we known the trip fee was just to show up, we would not have made the appointment. We had the work done and it cost over $400 to replace the outlet, and do the “required” whole house diagnostic. This is without a doubt a terrible way to do business. To force an unneeded $209 whole house diagnostic on a homeowner is outrageous (we had no other electrical issues). To charge a trip fee for showing up at your door and nothing more is too ridiculous. Yes, they do good work, they are professional and courteous, but I would not do business with them again, nor would I recommend them. In hindsight, would have been cheaper and less aggravating to pay the trip charge and send them away. Don't bother calling to complain...they do all the talking and don't listen to the customer.

Okay, I felt the hourly rate was a wee bit high, BUT how can you put a price on peace of mind. With burn marks on the canister around the ceiling light, I worried that a faulty wire might cause a fire. They found that once again the builder and his cheap labor fouled up in more than one occasion. Thank you, guys, for finding and repairing the problems. Will be sleeping much sounder tonight and would recommend you to absolutely anyone!
