Description of Work: I can't say anything about the quality of the work. I contacted this business for work and talked them a couple times. They never showed up. SO they might do quality work, if they show up.

I must say that I do not recognize who this person, [Member Name Removed] is. This review is from 2 years ago, according to the date one his posting. Perhaps he has me confused with someone else or maybe he is someone, like a competitor who would post something like this. If I said I would be there to give a quote, then I would certainly do just that. I will never confirm to a customer or potential customer this type of thing.

My bathrooms were in really bad shape there was hidden damages and we did not know how much work needed to be done. He kept us informed on every step showing us what the damage were and what needed to be done to fix it. He was open to our suggestions and did what needed to be done. If there was a better way to fix a problem he let us know and we agreed with the important information he gave us. He is a man that takes pride in his work and does a great job. And it shows the bathrooms are beautiful. And I would recommend him to anyone who needs renovations done. We will be more than happy to use Scott McCune again in the future. The job was started on Sept. 3 2013 and completely finished September 20 2013.
Description of Work: Completely tore out and remolded 2 bathrooms.

The structure was in really bad shape. I completely removed 2 walls, all the floor joists in two bathrooms. New ceiling in one, all new everything with the exception of two pedistal sinks. It was my pleasure working for the Magwoods and would certainly work for them again. Both bathrooms turned out fabulous. Thanks.

He emailed us the quote. We are making arrangements for him to get started on the job. He is very nice and very professional. The quote amount $ 7637. He was out here a few hours after I called. He was here exactly on time; actually he was a little before.
Description of Work: Emerald Renovations gave us a quote for completely remodeling two bathrooms.

. He does great work. He redid my front porch. He builds things that last. The cost was 9000$. When it comes to start on your job he stays on your job until is finished. He does one job at one time. He is slow, methodical and precise. He is not cheap but he is not most expensive either. He is great value per dollar.

He agreed a deck was something he could do, came over, made some measurements and was going to call me back within a week with estimates and dates, though he did tell me he had another job going so would not be able to start for a couple of weeks, or would start and have to come back later to finish, which was fine. He never called me back with the estimates. I gave it a couple weeks, then called him and left a message requesting a call with the estimates or at least to let me know if I needed to find someone else, and he never replied. I ended up having to find someone else to do the job and ended up having it done a couple of months later than I wanted since I was waiting to hear back from Emerald. It has been over 6 months and he has never bothered to call me back.
Description of Work: Originally he put on an exterior door for me and everything went really well, with no complaints, and he left his card so about a year later I later called him about building a deck.

I was contracting for a retail store in town, who lost all their installers except for me. Compounded by the fact I had to travel to another state on family matters, lost several pieces of information concerning bids while out of town, working at a McDonalds in order to have internet service. Changed phone service provider when I returned, and lost several voicemails in the transition. I did drive by her house one afternoon, but apparently no one was home, so I left a note which apparently was never found. I apoligise for what appeared to be a lack of following thru

We'll have him back to do other stuff. He was prompt. People tell us they are going to be here at nine but they will be here by ten or eleven but in his case, he was here at 8 o'clock and ready to do the work. He was here before they delivered the door. He made sure everything on the door was precise and done because it was a very expensive door. Another company delivered the door opening the wrong way and we decided to leave it that way and he is coming back today to put the finishing touch. He doesn't have to but he is doing it just to make sure everything is just right.

We did have a problem when the door unit when it was ordered. It was ordered with the wrong operating door but was found to be acceptable by the homeowner. Everything went ok with the installation pretty much. I enjoyed working for [ member's name removed].

Scott McCowan is wonderful. It was a lot of money, but it was fair. It was what my husband allotted. He doesn't do a lot of advertising and he doesn't need to, as it is a lot of "word of mouth" with him. He was here not long ago and we are getting him to do some more work. I recommend him to whoever wants good workmanship at a good price. I give him high ratings and will continue to use him in the future.
Description of Work: He came not very long ago and is coming back. He has put on a new roof, new siding, new windows, new doors, new garage door, new tile, and a new screen room on the back. He is going to do more.

Took weeks to get Scott to come by and look at the required work. Price and material agreed upon, and measurements made. Material finally arrived and was wrong size. Correct material arrived, and was installed promptly, and left unpainted. Were promised a return visit to paint and complete other work. Never happened. Multiple phone calls not returned.
Description of Work: Contracted for multiple repairs. We finally agreed on one, and paid for material and labor. Material ordered came in wrong. Finally installed. Never finished job, unpainted as promised. Phone calls for completion never returned.

I looked into this report. There is a reason why it did not ring a bell with me. You see, the address does not exist. The work performed was on his home . where I installed 3 outside door units. One unit with side lights, in the front of the home and 2 single units in the rear. All of the units installed were white fiberglass units, no rot jambs and brick moulding. The front unit was delivered incorrectly from the vendor, not my mistake. Once the new unit arrived, I promptly installed the new unit. New door casing was installed around all three units & painted. The owners wife, liked the color and was not going to paint it. Being that it is fiberglass, it is not required to paint or stain. When the job was finished, the customer paid me in full and stated that they were happy with the job. Otherwise, why would they pay me, if my work was not complete. What are they hiding by using a fictitious name & address? As far as their statement under 'Description Of Work' , I was only contracted to do the door replacement, not multiple repairs. They made inquiries as to the cost of some other repairs that were needed, to which I gave them a written quote, which I still have. His wife said they did not like the material quoted, so I gave them another price for different material, which was much more expensive. That being more than what they wanted to pay, the process hit a dead end. I told her to look on her own, find what she wanted & let me know. Again, if my overall grade, responsiveness and punctuality were all "F", then why would they ask me to do more work?? After a period of time, with no reply on selection of materials for shutters, I had other work waiting that I moved on to. It was necessary for me to move forward at that point. I chose not to follow up on the quote and the claim I never returned calls for completion of work is not true, because the prior work was complete, I was paid. The quote was rejected and was now up to the owner to find the material. I had time and expenses tied up in this process that I was not paid for. As too the last 4 questions on their report: I did return phone calls, to say never is totally exaggerated, and I did what work was promised. I did not order the wrong material, and I have a witness. The owner of the company will verify that. I can provide a long list of customers who are very happy with what I have done. And last but not least, I am honest and promise only what I will do, in writing so there is no mistake or misunderstanding. Thanks, Scott M McCune, Sr.
