Ant control, Bat control, Bug & Insect control, Mosquito control, Rat control, Spider control -- these folks do it all and they do it excellently well. They go above and beyond, sweeping away webs under the eaves and coping gracefully with my neighbor's yappy dogs. When squirrels began gnawing on my fascia, they made certain to let me know before the damage became severe. When I had bats in my belfry, they gently chased away the creatures and hardened my house so that the bats would not return. When I asked for a bond in addition to termite protection, they supplied. When my house proved to be more prone to bug infestations than expected (two creeks border my property), they were flexible enough to adjust to my particular needs. When I texted a picture of a particularly large and unfamilliar bug that surprised me in my shower, they came immediately. During a particularly heavy rain, I turned on the porch light to see beady little eyes staring back at me from atop a storage chest; Scout put out rat control measures the next day. And every person working for Scout Pest Control shows the same professionalism, the same dedication to and quality of service. I can't say enough good about these folks. I'm so very grateful that I found them so quickly after moving to Alabama; if I had not, the critters would have run me out long ago! With Scout, I don't have to worry about any kind of pest--I know Scout can handle it!

Great! They were very efficient and professional. We signed up for regular service that INCLUDED the yellow jacket removal which after calling around a few places is considered an extra service.

I actually signed up with them based the the Angie's list recommendation and have been so far very pleased with them. I signed up for their annual contract, they are very courteous about when I call in and say I see another bug. They come out typically within a couple days on their schedule and have sprayed. Very professional in how they handle it. They came out twice in February. Once for the annual spray and the second one because I saw another bug. I don't have bugs that the key.

Good Service

Went great, the gentleman they sent out spent approximately an hour spraying and removing spider webs. I haven't seen a bug since.

They came in and sprayed my whole inside of my house. They showed up 20 mins. early and they were prompt and well manner worker that did the job.. They are so good a signed a year contract with them and fired my other company i was using.. When they looked at the property they did identify future problems that they can take care of as well..

They actually came out 4 times. They assessed the situation, came back and blocked entry points. We had to call them back to go through the process a second time to block additioonal entry points. Those squirrels & mice were determined to reach our crawl space.

The young guys were great. We'll see how their efforts work. I will definitely consider them for future pest control work.

When Jared, the man who did our inspection, saw my review on Angie's List, he replied on Angie's List and also called to say that their services were guaranteed. So I set up another appointment with him and he and David came to reinspect for possible entry points for mice. They were both at the house for over 2 hours--inspecting every possible entry point and making sure it was sealed. I was so impressed with the professionalism of these two, that I purchased the one-year contract. Today, (1/26/15), David came and did a thorough dusting for insects, swept away all cobwebs, etc., and sprayed to control them. My house is two story and the sweep that clears away the cobwebs couldn't quite reach the upper parts of the home. David said he would like to come back with a longer sweep to make sure all the areas with spiders are eliminated. I have high confidence in their ability to control unwanted critters and I have deeply appreciated the extra effort. I would highly recommend this company.

My husband and I purchased a special offer through Angie's List. We had been having regular treatments with another company since buying our home 2 1/2 years ago, but the effectiveness had been steadily declining and the customer service had gotten so poor that we were ready to find a new pest control provider. Shane arrived within the two hour window given. (Only half an hour into that window and he called to let us know that he was on the way.) He explained thoroughly what the initial visit consisted of and then got to work. The company uses varied applications and methods which we hoped would deal with all our invasive pests. Shane finished in good time. He was pleasant and professional. The next day we noticed that the spiders were being dispatched successfully, with half a dozen either dead or dying. Earwigs, the one pest that had been immune to our previous exterminator's treatments and had been a daily annoyance, disappeared that day. Over two months later and we still haven't seen one! Ants and wasps were also dealt with. On 6/6/14, Shane once again arrived on time to perform the first of our quarterly treatments. Twenty minutes later, the treatment was done. Once again we appreciated Shane's professionalism and courteous manner. All has remained well inside. The following day my husband was up on the ladder, cleaning out our gutters (which, living in a one story house surrounded by massive mature trees, is a weekly chore). He noticed that there was a line of ants walking on the edge of the roof, something we had not seen before. My husband called Scout and spoke with the Jared. He was just finishing another job and said he'd be right over. Less than an hour later he was treating the edge of the roof with the ants, then treated the rest of the roof edges. He said that it would take up to two weeks for the ants to be done in so we gave it some time. We have not seen an ant since that day though. Not on the roof, not in the overhead, not inside. This treatment was included in the regular quarterly price as well. We were impressed and grateful that Jared showed up so quickly, before the problem had a chance to spread. He was professional and pleasant as well. We look forward to working with Scout Pest Control for the rest of the year. Highly recommend.

A year ago, two techs came out, one being the owner, the other an employee named Shane. The owner sprayed the inside of the house while explaining the entire process and what I could expect from their service. Shane went around the outside, treating the weep holes, plants/flowerbeds and the entire yard. The owner did every room, garage and inside the attic. After this, every quarter they returned to perform follow up maintenance on the yard. If I felt I needed any more work, I only had to call and my "regular" treatments came free of charge along with any consultation I needed. After every visit, I am provided with an itemized list of what they used on my property. All chemicals are pet-friendly and for the "normal" treatments I do not even have to put away my pets for the duration. Whenever they schedule a trip out, if they are staying within the yard then it's not necessary I be home. However, whenever I've needed an inside treatment, they've always worked around my schedule. They always remind me to call if I have any problems and they will treat the house earlier if need be or provide consultation for more invasive/difficult pests (termites, bedbugs, etc.) as well as quote me for more in-depth remediation services all as part of my yearly contract. After a year, they offered to renew my yearly contract and scheduled another inside treatment, which I signed up for. This time my tech was Shane, who was just as genial as the owner and explained the process as he went along again with what I needed/expected in terms of pest remediation. The entire treatment process could have been completed in ten minutes, but Shane spent extra time discussing what he was doing and what I could expect, which I appreciated. During the last year, I have watched the Black Widows/Brown Recluses disappear. Ant beds have shrunk away and new ones do not get a chance to form. I've found almost no spiders/spider webs once the first round of treatments took hold and bugs in side the house are almost nonexistent. Even in the garage, which used to be a haven for spiders, beetles and other assorted pests remains cleaned out. I have bird feeders, deer, and house pets, all of which are unaffected by the treatments.

Our tech was Shane Whitley. He called to let me know he was on his way-within a few minutes of our scheduled appointment. He walked the entire property with me, as I showed him my concerns. Afterwards we went through the garage and shed, and then the house. I pointed out everything I felt was an issue, and he listened very intently. Afterwards he started with our outside areas, the shed and garage and then finished inside the house. He did what they call a flush, which exterminates all unwanted pests, and sends them dying to the outside where they are again bombarded with the outside treatment and die. Things like wasps, and poisonous spiders (we had none) would be eliminated on the spot. I know it will take a week or so to see the general population of ants die off but I feel confident they will. Being in the country, I now have to deal with moles, voles and hopefully no trolls ;) but Shane was quick to offer suggestions to get rid of those pests as well. We watched an ant hill outside by the sidewalk, and the ants were trying to escape the impending doom, without success. I am very pleased with the service! Scouts does the initial flush, then 30 days later another treatment for tougher prevention, and then they treat every three months. However, it is great to know that if I have a problem arise with some kind of pest, they will come back out anytime to deal with the issue! GREAT SERVICE! We have signed onto a contract to keep our new home in tip top condition! Very pleased. They also offer a termite prevention program separately! We will be looking into that as well.

I was actually notified over the weekend of this problem by my renter. I had never heard of this company before, nor had I had any reason to use a pest service in recent years. I ended up just using Angie’s List to search for someone with a good service record and found these guys. I setup the appointment Monday, and they were out Tuesday evening. They even accommodated my work schedule by scheduling me later in the afternoon/early evening. Jared was right on time. He was very friendly and explained everything he was doing and why it would be effective. He really took his time to make sure that all rooms were covered, not just the ones where we had the ant problem. They were great in sending out emails before and after the appointment to keep us informed on what was going on and the Dos/Don’ts after the treatment. We were so impressed that we signed up for their yearly preventative service which covers everything from spiders to bees. Needless to say, we haven’t had any more ant or bug problems for that matter. I would, and have, recommended these guys to anyone that need pest control service!

Scout Pest control is the best around. Their team is as professional and knowledgeable as they come. We received multiple quotes from several contractors. All of the other contractors examined the specimen we collected and immediately told us that we had a bed bug infestation and began with their sales pitch. Jared with Scout pest control took time to carefully study and analyze the specimen, then said he thought that this was a bat bug, which is a cousin to the bed bug. He asked to check our attic for bats and sure enough we found about 15 hiding up there. He explained the difference and helped us strategize the best and most economical way to eliminate our pests. He even offered a 6 month warranty!!!! The competition would not even stand behind their work. We are lucky that we called Scout Pest control, because if we had not, we would have hired the competition and paid thousands of dollars to try and eliminate the wrong kind of bug… a bed bug, which we did not even have. If we had treated for bed bugs, it would not have gotten rid of the real problem which were the bats that brought the bugs. And as stated, the other companies did not offer warranties so we would have paid thousands of dollars only to STILL have bat bugs! Scout also came out on a Friday night and did the initial treatment. They stayed until 10:00pm treating so that my wife wouldn't continue to get bit over the weekend. What a great company that really cares. I received an email the day before providing with a time frame they scheduled to spray the house and yard; however that time was not convenient for me. I emailed them letting them know I would not be available at that time and gave them an alternate time frame. I received a reply within minutes tell me they have rescheduled my service within the time frame I gave them. Shane was on time and very courteous; he even gave suggestions that would help with keeps pests down until next quarter.
