Motivated Movers of Huntsville & Decatur

Marc, Bryan and Bone moved us from Redstone Arsenal to Madison 3/15/22 and were very professional and friendly. They were quick and thorough and moved us without anything being damaged. These movers were thoughtful of merchandise and the furniture and made sure they were protected. Would hire them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to all.

The three movers who did the work were on time, professional and great to work with. I will have them do the next move we have coming up.

We contracted with Motivated Movers after soliciting estimates from two other local movers. Our move required three 2-man teams and two large trucks. Greatest challenge was carrying heavy furniture, including a piano, up a steep driveway to the trucks parked on the street. The guys arrived on time, carefully padded delicate items, and cautiously maneuvered heavy items down stairs, up the driveway, and into the trucks. The crews were completely knowledgeable and professional and worked extremely well as a team to complete the job. We were very pleased with their service and would certainly recommend them to others.

Initial communication/quote was professional and clear. Movers showed up on time, were extremely efficient, careful, worked hard, and made the entire move as smooth as possible. Very impressed, will hire again if needed.

The moving crew did an excellent job of moving our large furniture (including a Baby Grand piano). They were on time, efficient and took great care of our items in the move process. I would highly recommend them for all your moving needs!

Before the move, the office was prompt in responding to request for quote. On the day of the move, workers (2 men and a trainee) arrived at scheduled time and quickly went to work. They were very careful and wrapped the doorways and stairwell. They worked very hard moving all the furniture and boxes from the 3rd floor apartment and packing it into the truck. On the way across town to our new house, they stopped to pick up another piece of furniture which my grandma had given as a wedding gift but was too heavy for us to move. At the new house they quickly unloaded and assembled the furniture being extra careful again with the doors, walls and floors. The job was billed by the hour and these guys never seemed to slow down over the 5 hour move. Jay, Robert and Josh earned their money and my appreciation. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

Absolutely white glove service! I couldn't be more pleased! Movers were very careful with our expensive mahogany furniture. All three worked diligently, quickly and very carefully. All three gentlemen were extremely polite, and courteous. Very eager to place everything exactly where we wanted it, even though they had to deal with two flights of stairs. By far, the best experience we've ever had when moving furniture.

This review should have been done weeks ago but better late than never, On the 31st of July I had motivated movers help my family move our belongings. This was a first for me, I had never hired a moving company before, and was a little nervous about how it would go. I specifically chose this company because of their reviews on Angie's List. The one word that comes to mind now that the work is done is WOW. I had three strong young gentlemen at our door right on time and from the moment they walked inside it was calm, professional, efficient, absolutely everything you would want a move to be! The guys (and I'm ashamed I have forgotten their names) were so personable and polite. They were very careful with our things, wrapping each item and arranging things quickly into their large box truck. I couldn't believe how efficient they were, not a moment was wasted. Our new house is two stories and they got our furniture upstairs with ease - even the pool table and slate top. I truly could not have been more thrilled with those three young men and this moving company!! I recommend them to everyone I know now, and will absolutely use them again. I felt I was charged a fair price, and every person from the moment I made the first call was top notch. They get an A for AWESOME from me!!!

The movers were EXCELLENT!! Sean and Taylor moved several items to include my hutch, couch, trunk, corner cabinet, and dining room table and chairs. They were very professional, they knew what they were doing, they were quick to get everything accomplished, they were easy to work with and understood exactly what I wanted done in each room. The price was fair since I was only charged for a half of an hour of work time. The rates are $110 per hour for 2 workers, so half an hour was $55. There was a $75 fee for coming out which seems to be standard for a lot of businesses now. They are Insured, Bonded, and Licensed which is something I always look for in contractors doing work in my house. Again, they were super movers and will call them again if I need things moved. I had unusual items to move, sent pictures of the items including dimensions, and obstacles also. Talked to boss man(Chris?)in detail about this move. I understood the paper work agreement and did not want to take the time to go over it in person since they are charging me by the hour. The most precious and high dollar item is a faux waterfall. It's 2 piece construction, looks like rock, so after the Motivated Movers chipped a piece off...appears to be Styrofoam painted to look like rock! Welllll .... boss DISMISSES the damage due to the fact that these things are designed to sit out in the weather 24/7. This is correct BOSS! However it sat there for 14 years and did not get chipped until Motivated Movers picked it up!! Well mover Nick and I realize that this is NOT up to Motivated Movers stated damage policy! Boss simply DISMISSES my damage!!! Well Nick was so genuinely concerned and determined to make it right.....he offered his personal cell number and ideas to repair the damage on his own time and out of his own pocket! I think Nick should be the BOSS! He and AJ were very conscientious, courteous, professional, capable and so patiently worked to reset my waterfall at my new home.

This was the first time I have ever hired professional movers and I could not be happier with my choice. From the initial consultation to the move, completely professional. I was very impressed with the attention to the small details....wrapping doorways and stair bannisters, ect. The move was completed within the estimated time with absolutely no damage to any furniture or broken dishes. I have recommended them to others moving this summer. Great experience.

I contacted Motivated Movers on 27 April to make arrangements for a move on 30 April. They were very friendly and helpful, explained the costs associated with the move and help approximate how long it would take, and set up the time for the movers to arrive at 9 a.m. on 30 April. They arrived at the doorstep at 8:58 a.m. and the two gentlemen proceeded with moving everything into their truck. In 30 minutes, they had everything loaded, wrapped, and strapped in place. When we arrived at the new apartment (which was on the second floor), they began unloading immediately and had everything in the proper rooms in a very quick time. Conservatively, they thought it might take up to 4-4.5 hours to move; they had it completed in about 2.5 hours. The two gentlemen, Deandre and Sean, were very professional and seemed more like old friends there to help us move. It was impressive to watch how fast yet carefully they moved everything, and there wasn't a single scuff or scratch after the move was completed. I will not hesitate to use them again and will recommend them to anyone planning to move.

We booked with Motivated Movers because of the excellent reviews on Angie's List. The reviews are well-deserved. We booked three movers (you have the option of two) because we had several VERY heavy furniture pieces, had two flights of stairs to load, then three flights to unload. We were told the movers would be there between 8:00-8:30. At a few minutes before 8:00, I got a phone call advising us they were just heading out - and they arrived at our door at 8:15. For the next 5.5 hours Jay, Zack and Tanner worked their tails off moving us. All furniture was carefully wrapped, 'fragile' boxes were well taken care of, everything loaded nicely and securely on the truck. No damage to anything. Aside from us feeling very bad out how hard they had to work, this was the best moving experience we've had. We hope that Jay, Zack and Tanner get paid very, very, well because they sure do work hard!

Had to move most of the furniture out of the house to tear out and replace all the hardwood flooring due to a water leak. Nick, Jesse, and Taylor arrived on time, were very professional, polite and extremely efficient. They packed up, loaded, moved and unloaded into a storage unit our kitchen, breakfast room, living room, dining room and office in 4.5 hours. Additionally they had to disassemble a table and entertainment center to get it out of the house as well as take some doors off the refrigerator to get it into the garage. There were no issues what so ever. Everything went flawlessly. Very impressed with this crew and how quickly and efficiently they worked. Will be hiring them again to move back into the house when the floors are done.

I was a flawless move! Nick and his crew arrived early, worked hard, was very professional and did nothing short of a perfect job!!!!! I would recommend them to any of my family or friends!

They arrived on time and began working right away. They were pleasant and efficient. They were careful both at the apartment and at the house. You can choose between 2 or 3 "movers". We were concerned about the bulk and weight of a couple of items so we thought 3 movers would be better. They worked well together. I gave them a "b" for responsiveness, not because of the actually mover who were excellent, but because of the email and phone contact I made with their office. The initial call to me was quite informative, but a couple of my follow up emails before the move, even though they were answered within a 24 hour period, seemed rushed. Somehow I felt like I was a bother to them. I started to cancel with them and go with a different company, but did not. The cost was exactly as they had stated. There was no haggling or disagreements when it came time to pay. I would use them again.

We have made a lot of moves in the past, and this team was better than the big Corporate moves. When the quote was done we had planned to have everything packed. On move day, we were still packing some things. The crew was very flexible and worked with us to get all of the items moved. The crew was professional, friendly and quick. I will use them for our next move.

We were not pleased with the movers (GEES Movers) who moved us into the units from our last home so I checked the ratings on other movers on Angie's list and picked Motivated Movers. They were very professional, prompt, and fast. Their price is high but their quality is first rate. The placed - and re-placed - furniture in our new home to our satisfaction. They stored furniture we did not need into a climate storage unit and did a great job of efficient packing.

I moved from an apartment to a house about 20 minutes away, and the two movers finished everything in just under four hours. Despite the cold weather that day, these boys busted their tails getting everything done. They were very friendly and professional, and nothing was damaged (even the washer/dryer) or shaken out of place (in the boxes). I felt the hourly rate was more than fair, and these guys were worth their weight in gold. When they were moving things into the new house, they made sure all boxes and furniture were placed where I wanted them, which I really appreciated. They even reassembled my bed frame. I also bought boxes from the company and was pleased to find out they'll buy back any boxes you don't use. The boxes were very high quality, and they even delivered them to my apartment about a week before the move since I spent more the $50. Bottom line: fantastic service, great price, highly recommended!

This is the Huntsville company (256-858-6683). Someone came out and did an estimate on my apartment move (at my request - they will give them over the phone/email if you fill out a list of your home's contents). The walk through took less than 30 minutes including the questions I asked. This company offers replacement coverage free (included in hourly price). They're price matched another company's but that company wanted extra for full replacement coverage. Motivated Movers also gave me a copy of a coupon on their website for $5 an hour. I changed the move date 3 times; I had to wait for my closing to be completed. They were very accomodating. On the move day they called approximately 20 minutes ahead of time to tell me they were on their way. They showed up on time. They packed up my apartment in less than 2 hours including taking apart a large treadmill and getting it through a bedroom doorway. They took a very short lunch break and called me again to tell me they were on their way to the new address. They showed up there when promised as well. They unloaded quickly and didn't even roll their eyes when I couldn't remember what some things were (hey, things in sheds and back bedrooms have been there for years and you just kind of forget about them). They had a boss stop by to check on their progress and ask me how everything was going. They were done in less time than estimated; including their drive time to/from the office. Overall an excellent move with no surprises. Courteous and professional staff including the office/phone perosonnel. I have brand new hardwood floors and there were very careful on those and also offered to set up my rugs/furniture. Very, very careful with my TV and my treadmill - the two things I was most worried about. This move couldn't have gone smoother. They even used their own tools to reassemble the treadmill for me (okay - I couldn't rememer where my screwdrivers were packed - but they were prepared). I would use them in a future move (which I hope I don't have unless I win the lottery and decide a need a larger house so I have a reason to hire a maid). Great job!!!

We used Motivated Movers twice - once from a house to an apartment and storage unit, then from the apartment and storage to a new house. Both moves were the best we have ever experienced. The pricing model is fair and clear and reasonable. Their workers hustled and were clean and courteous. Nothing was damaged. We would use them again.
