Gordon Realty

Our town was out of power for 6 days from tornadoes in April of last year. We didn't take direct damage, but our roof started leaking due to some hail and wind damage causing mold to grow in our child's bedroom. We moved him out of the room and turned it into the office instead. I tried to keep the mold from growing by using bleach daily. The water then started to drip down the wood on the sides the house causing the walls to discolor and the ceiling to start to drop down in the kitchen. We were complaining the entire time to Gordon Realty this was happening. Finally 3 months after living in these terrible living conditions they sent out an insurance adjuster for the guy who owns the house to take pictures. In the pictures you can see daylight through the roof. He said this was terrible and that they would file a claim. Another 6 months past and only a quick patch was done and the roof was still falling in. They ended up giving me a number for a drywall guy and I questioned why they weren't fixing the roof first. The whole house was leaking and then the foundation shifted so there were cracks, towel racks wouldn't stay up, and toilet paper holders wouldn't stay together. No issues were getting resolved in the house. We got fed up and were about to put our money in escrow and were ready to sue her when a house popped up in the neighborhood with a decent landlord. Gordon Reality won't let us out of our lease even after all of these problems and they cashed a check after agreeing to let us out. We are now going to hire an attorney. This women would make appointments and never show up, wouldn't return phone calls, and it would take her weeks to get back to us. The drywall guy didn't know her name and didn't know who Gordon Realty was. He couldn't tell me if he was licensed and bonded and then wanted to come check out the house at 9 pm on a Saturday night. She claims we were denying repairs, but we only denied this one man who wouldn't come during normal working hours. I would never suggest anyone use Gordon Realty for rental houses.

I was very impressed with the owner of the company. She is very methodical and gets the job done. The price varies so there is no real standard fee. They offer outstanding service. This company is responsive, punctual, and professional.
