David from Cobalt came out and gave us an estimate on Thursday the 28th of June. He was kind and professional and spent almost an hour of his time talking to us about the roof that we needed replaced and also about his family and kids as well. Not only is that kind of personal touch rare to find in contractors, but he gave us a very good price and offered to not only match but beat his competitors prices as well. We decided almost immediately that he was the one we were going to use. He told us that the roof would be started Friday morning of the 29th and would be completed by noon. The only downside was that even though I took off work to be there for the roofers, they didn't show up and I got a phone call around 3pm that afternoon saying they would be there the next day. That was a little dissapointing, but they showed up early on Saturday. The men worked hard and did a great job. The roof looks fantastic and they did an amazing job of cleaning up. I was worried that my dog would get a tack in his foot since he loves to run around the front and back yards, but we haven't found a single stray nail. Overall, I was very pleased with Cobalt Construction and we will use them in the future if we need anything.

The reason there was no cost is that they replaced my roof which another company did years ago and I had leaks everywhere, Cobolt stepped in to help me because the other company would not, they put a whole new roof on and told me he would work it out with the other company since I was still under warranty. I asked could they remove the cutters for me as well and they did and initially charged me for it but than changed there mind and said enjoy the work and don't worry about paying for the service. Cobolt does excellent work and is one of the best companies I have ever worked with they are very honest and very busy so I had to call back a few times but always got a call back within an hour. Cobolt can be trusted with any kind of work they will do a great job, stand behind there work and David is a very kind and caring man, even though they do lot of big accounts you would not know it because I was just as important to him as a million dollar job. I hopes this will help someone with there question.

After they removed all the small nails and stuff and everything was coming down through the gutters. Which it wasn't good. We had issues with that. They did a good job on the roof. Our insurance paid for the work except for the deductable.

We had roof damage due to wind/hail and had put an insurance claim in. After the insurance company came to look at everything it was time to hire a contractor. I found Cobalt on Angies List and gave David a call. He met with me the very same day and went over everything. I had several other companies come out to give estimates and most of them were late or didn't even bother to contact me with a price. David came, looked at it all and worked up his quote. He was right in line with the roofers that did give me prices but he had also noticed that I had a lot of siding damage and the roof on my shop was also damaged so went ahead and wrote those up too. My insurance company was being difficult about replacing the siding and the other rood but David stepped in and took care of it all. My original claim was $6,300 and he got them to pay $10,700 for the additional siding and an additional roof on my shop that the insurance company did not even bother to look at. When the time came for all the work to be done his crew was there when they said they would be and did an awesome job. The roofs were done in about 2 days and the siding an additional day. Everything looks very nice and they did not leave a mess. You can barely tell they were there (besides the new roof and some siding). Overall, my experience with David was great! I work for an electrician in Huntsville (Mister Sparky) and it was nice to do business with someone that strives for the same greatness we do everyday. They were on time, clean, courteous and extremely helpful. Thanks again David! I will recommend you for everything and even start using you when we get work at Mister Sparky.

Can't say much. I called to set up an estimate for some insulation work I had and was told we would meet up the next day around 5:00pm. I called the next day and had to remind the gentleman about our meeting, to which he asked if we could meet later in the evening. He never came or called, so I never called back. Getting busy is understandable, just give a call if you can't make an appointment.

They did an excellent job on the painting. The price was fair and normal. I certainly would use them again. They were one of the nicest and most professional companies that I have dealt with in a long time.

Professional, knowledgeable, careful workers who are trained and carefully supervised. It was a pleasure to do business with such qualified, honest people. They took the time to completely cover all furniture, walls, and floors; moved and replaced heavier furniture without damaging anything. No paint drips anywhere. Meticulous work without being obtrusive. Cleaned up at days end so we weren't inconvenienced by their work although it was a three day job. Can't say enough good things about them. Completely trustworthy. To top it off, the owner helped us get the insurance to cover the cost. Very knowledgeable and experienced, and he puts that to work for you.

WONDERFUL from start to finish. You can safely entrust your property to David and his men. No regrets and WILL hire them again in the future to do interior work. They are properly licensed!

.He did a good job.The only negative thing was at the end he tacked on an additional $50 as he said that he needed some additional singles that he didn't account for. I felt he should have known that in the beginning but I didn't say anything about it. The workers understand very little english and David was not there to often so it was difficult to communicate with them.

The roof work was repaired and replaced on the same day. The interior repair and restoration work was excellent and I would highly recommend Cobalt for any home repair needs. My experience and outcome was outstanding.

We would hire Cobalt Roofing again, in fact, we have asked him to do some additional work on a window that needs boards replaced and our gutters, soffits, and facer boards.

Cobalt Construction owner, David Francis, observed the insurance adjuster as he examined our roof and then afterwards he met with me and my wife personally to discuss re-roofing our house. He had samples of roofing shingles and discussed various materials and the pros and cons of each. We decided to upgrade to architectural shingles and ridge vents v.s. two small powered vents. We also decided that reroofing the detached garage was prudent even though there was no storm damage to it. Roofing materials were delivered to our driveway before the job was started. Although Mr. Francis said it would be a one day job, we decided to delay start of the job so that there would be two full days of good weather. This was a wise choice on our part as the job did in fact take two days. The first day began with roofing crews arriving about 8:30 am. By the end of the first day, the minor roof repairs had been done, ridge vents were in place, the detached garage was completed and the main roof was about 70% complete. The second day began with a smaller work crew but enough to finish well before the end of the day. Additional shingles were delivered about mid to late morning. During the job, Mr. Francis was present at the beginning of the job and again on the morning of the second day. At the end of the second day, Mr. Francis stopped by and inspected the final work. The only thing he had to do was some minor cleaning of the vinyl siding on the dormers. He presented us with the final invoice and we paid the full amount by check. One question I had before paying Mr. Francis was whether or not he could accept credit card for payment. Had he been setup for credit card payment we could have gotten the benefit of airline miles on our credit card for the full cost of the re-roofing project.

Performed everything as expected. Owner and crew very personable, respectful, and competent. Would reccomend them to anyone.

They did what they said would and when they said the would.

I got a new roof installed 5 years ago with a 10 year warranty, I had problems with this roof from the start, mind you now this was with a different contractor don't want to release his name, he had a bad crew working for him. I had repair person after repair person to come out over the years to fix different leaks, one of the leaks someone came on 9 different occasions before the leak stopped. A new leak started in my kitchen and bedroom over a year ago and nobody ever came to look at the problem, company was no longer in the roofing business but I could still reach the original owner. After many many more phone calls he finally got tired of me calling and send David from Cobalt Roofing and Construction to my house to look to see if there really was anything to my claims and David took his time and went in the attic and assessed the situation and said that the damage was so bad that I needed a new roof. He took it upon himself to contact the earlier company owner and made a deal with him, he would fix my roof because I had a very valid claim and lot's of damage from bad work done and he knew I needed help badly. He send his crew to my house on Jan. 3rd and my roof was redone the proper way in 2 days of hard work with almost no breaks on his crews side and it looks fantastic, but most of all no more leaks and my house holds the heat so much better now, I had now idea of how much consequences all those holes in the roof had beside water leaks and damage to my ceilings and mold and mildew. He also had his crew remove the gutters for me as a favor, they where also damaged by the original crew. I am so very grateful to Cobalt Construction there are no words, this would have never happened if they did not help me with the original company and stepping in and taking charge of the work and doing it the right way. Cobalt Construction is tops to me and I will recommend them to anybody that I know and that needs anything done, there was never a phone call or text message that was not returned by David within the same day or even faster and he is a very busy man. There was no reason but kindness on his part to do the job it was done by his company (Cobalt) under my original warranty at no cost to me. Cobalt Construction and Roofing came to some kind of understanding with the gone out of business company but I was never bothered with any of that David took care of everything. We have had several very severe storms since than and I have not had one single leak not one drop, and before my entire Kitchen counter and floor where flooded as well as my bedroom window curtains and the floor had to be moped after every rain. Fantastic Company and Owner the job was done correct, in a very timely manner, quality material was used, same shingles as before they where more expensive, so no cost was spared I got exactly what I paid for the first time but excellent work this time.If you are thinking of having any kind of work done on your home this is the company for you I just can not say enough about them, I would give 10 stars if I could. Finally I found someone that will do what they say they will do, will do it right and is always reachable which was important to me as well. If you want quality work and customer service this is the company for you trust me. They did not miss the smallest detail such as even repainting my old vents, prior paint had already come of completely. I think the amount was close to $9000. They did very well. They were very, very good. I like that they try to help one out. They try to figure out a way to do the best they can. They want to please people. It was important to them that one was happy with the work in the end. I would use them again in the future if need be and I would refer them to other people too.

Went very smoothly. They had to remove the trim from the windows (carefully) and then cut out and remove the existing windows, replace with the new, and then reapply the prior trim, and then caulk. They didn't take any shortcuts and I was very pleased with the result.

I would absolutely recommend David and Cobalt Construction for any future renovation or home repair. Our home sustained significant damage in the tornado's which swept across much of Alabama in April 2011. Repairs included replacement of the roof, most of the drywall, window replacement, some masonry, the HVAC system, flooring, insulation, some electrical work, painting and other interior finishing work, and fencing. David and his crew have completed all work on time, within budget and with an extreme degree of professionalism. Toward the end of work on the interior of the house we came up against a hard deadline for move in; David and the Cobalt team were able to complete all work on time and get our family back into our home. This company will truly go the extra mile to ensure that a customer is satisfied with the conduct of their employees; on several occasions the Cobalt Construction team helped my wife carry in groceries, bring in our trashcans and recycle bins in from the curb and checked to ensure that everything was completed to our satisfaction.

I received terrible damage to my home and I called several contractors to give me estimates. I chose Cobalt because David came to my home within 24 hours of me calling his office and gave me a lot of information that I did not encounter with the others. He was the only one out of the four that took the time to get to all the damage that I had sustained and that no other contractor picked up on, some I did not even realize. He looked over my home as if it was his own. He was extremely knowledgable. I decided to try him out and see if he could do all he said he could. One being work with my Insurance company that did not seem to want to pay for all the damage. David took the ball at that point and met with the adjuster and showed him things that they were not going to cover, and then WOW over $9000.00 more then they were originally going to pay. I think the insurance company makes money off of homeowners that way.... David was very diligent to make sure that everything I needed to be repaired was taken care of. He sent crews out to my home, and I am very picky, no smoking, no cursing and very polite. That is all I got.. They were very courteous and seem to complete everything to my standard. David made sure everything was finished properly and then we settled up when the insurance money was released. I have full intentions of hiring them again next spring to build a pool house. I have hired a lot of workers in my time, but never had any of them make me feel as important as David did. KUDOS!!!!

This was a great experience overall. We got everything in writing from our insurance company but in hindsight should have had more in writing from Cobalt at the start. But it didn't matter because it was all taken care of from start to finish with no worries on our part! Great Contractor! Very Sincere!

Overall, our experience was a pleasant one with two exceptions. First, David was more than an hour late when coming out to meet us before and after the job. Second, when the workers first began their work, they had little to no regard for the flower bed they were throwing shingles on top of. When my husband told them about this they placed a tarp over some shrubs to protect them but it ended up severely overheating the plants. Luckily they survived the ordeal. With those two things aside, however, we are still very happy with the work that was done and would hire David again to complete other jobs around our home.

The insurance covered quite a bit of it. The work turned out well. They did a nice job and they worked all day long. They hardly took any breaks and they finished in about a day and a half.

It turned out fine. There were no problems. The roof doesn't leak. They showed up on time, cleaned up their mess and went away.

The project went ok. Nothing really stood out about them. The quality of their work was good.
