ADAMS HOMES LLC

In December 2012, we moved into a two-year old home built by Adams Homes LLC of Madison, AL. Electricians working in the attic found that the roof was leaking around the fireplace. When Adams Homes was contacted, we were told that there was only a one-year warranty on the house. We contacted a roofing company to come out and give us an estimate for repairs---they found that in lieu of using outdoor sealant around the fireplace, Adams Homes had used indoor sealant. This meant that every time it rained the sealant got mushy and loose around the fireplace (and water came into the attic). In fact, the roofing rep was able to pull off a bag full of mushy sealant. When we again contacted Adams Homes about the poor workmanship and incorrect building product that was used, plus discussed how much worse the problem would have become if we had not had electricians working in our attic, we were told "that's why you have insurance". Since Adams Homes refused to accept responsibility for the error/problem, we paid the roofing company $200 to fix it.

Do not buy from Adam's homes! Not only do they not stand behind their homes, they try to blame and insult their customers when they are not happy! Terrible tile instillation from day one, resulting in cracks and problems. 3 outside parties confirmed the tile was installed incorrectly. Adam's refuses to fix it, claims it is standard to have tiles not adhered to the floor, and tells us it is out fault that we are dissatisfied customers. BEWARE!
