+ -1 moreMr Powel is very knowledgable and competent. The jobs were done quickly and perfectly. He offered advice when asked and performed more service than originally contracted. When he said he would be here at 7:30, he was here at 7:30! He returned all of our calls in good time. He cleaned up after himself and is very personable. I will gladly use him for all our electrical needs!
Description of Work: Mr Powel added several outlets, both inside and out, installed and wired ceiling fan, installed and wired can lighting, added motion lights inside and outdoors, and fixed wires behind the breaker panel that was shoddy workmanship by anither electrician which posed a danger.

Description of Work: I called to have Mr. Powell investigate a circuit breaker that tripped and wouldn't reset. He arrived at the agreed-on time, quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the breaker. He also provided lots of background explanation.

+ -1 moreMr. Powell is honest, hard working, and a true professional. I have been extremely pleased with the ceiling fan project and all other subsequent projects that he has worked on for me. He is now the only one I call for anything electrical or mechanical that I need help with.
Description of Work: Mr. Randy Powell is the owner and sole employee of Powell Electric. The first job he did for me was back in the spring of 2010. He wired and installed 2 celing fans on my porch. His level of professionalism and work ethic were immediately apparent. He is a perfectionist who is an expert in his field. He takes the time to explain what he is doing and why. He involved me in all aspects of decision making..parts, look, and function of project. The fans work fabulously and look fantastic. He has since done several more projects for me. I needed new switches and plugs throughout the house because some were very unsafe. The plugs were so old and loose, they wouldn't hold the plug ends of lamps and such in the actual outlet. He also has since rewired a large part of my basement, and found several extremely unsafe conditions. My house was built in 1963, and was in much need of some maintainence. He went above and beyond to make sure that the job was done timely, professionally, and as cost conciously as possible. I highly recomment him to anyone who needs electrical work done. He is also very good at other trades. He is currently re-doing my kitchen cabinets and in the near future will be putting a new sump pump in my basement. Honesty is perhaps the single most important thing to me when choosing someone to work for me. He is one of the most honest people I've ever met.
