 + -1 moreFive months after Clock Doctor repaired the chimes on my Grandfather clock; It stopped running intermittently. Contacted the Clock Doctor and he came over and picked up the clock within a week of contact and repaired the issue with clock stopping and did this repair at no cost. We have had the clock back for over a week with no issues

 + -1 moreCould not schedule a grandfather clock appointment in a timely manner - contacted clock doctor and he informed I would be put on an eight, yes EIGHT! month waiting list. His actual services may be wonderful, IF you can ever get him out to your house for servicing but to be told it'll be eight months before you can expect a visit is completely unrealistic from the customer perspective.

 + -1 moreThe clock doctor has more work than he can handle. When I first contacted him he said it would be 6 months before he could get to our clock due to already placed orders. It was about 6 months until our turn came around, it took him 2 weeks and was ready to return clock. All the chimes are working and price seemed reasonable to me.

I am so happy to have my clock chiming away once again. Mr. Carson did an outstanding job and took his time to answer all my questions. Quality work from a quality gentleman.

Due the scarcity of people like him, it's going to be a while before I get it back. I was impressed by his professionalism and expertise. He seems to be competent in what he does. I think he's someone you can rely upon to do the things that he says he can do. I'm confident that he can fix my clock for me but if he screws it up, I'll lay it on him.

Description of Work: The Clock Doctor clean and repaired 2 clocks, each about 100 years old, that haven't run for years. His price estimate was accurate, and his repair time estimate was pretty close. When I picked them up, he spent time to show me how to keep the clocks running well, and also provided written instructions. He was very professional, and I would definitely use him again, and I would highly recommend him.

 + -1 moreMr. Carson was amazing. I'm not sure what else to say because that sums it up in a word. He did everything we expected and more. Not only did he clean & repair the clock but when he came to reinstall he gave us a good tutorial on the clock mechanisms. He explained setting, adjustments, care and all the information we need to keep the clock running smoothly. Much of the information we did not know... we were even doing the setting procedure incorrectly! He also gave us instruction sheets for our particular model clock which we did not have before. Mr. Carson is polite, professional and not hurried. The cost was on par with what he quoted and for the service we had it was more than worth the money. We will use Mr. Carson for any other clock repair needs and recommend him to our friends and family. In closing, I reiterate... just amazing.
Description of Work: We had a Grandfather clock that started to malfunction on chimes and timekeeping. It also had a moon dial that had never worked. We had him come out, take the mechanisms to his shop to be repaired and then reinstalled after repair.

 + -1 moreMr. Carson had to take the clock apart to get to the chain and pull it down to be able to attach the weight. I have three weights and I had not realized that one of the three weights came off while pulling the chain up. He took the time to listen to the clock and reset the time for the 15 minute intervals and oil the parts. Very...very pleased and happy with the service repair. Recommend Mr. Carson for clock repairs.
Description of Work: I pulled one of the chains up past reach not realizing the weight came off the chain. I knew that it needed to be taken apart to get the chain down far enough to attach the weight. I felt that he was very fair and reasonable to the cost and repair. Very, very pleased with his professionalism, time of arrival, and knowledge about clocks. He shared alot of wisdom and advise about my clock and I will use Mr. Carson again if I need a clock repair. Very happy with the results.
