Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

When I made the first phone call to inquire about sending a technician out to find out what our problem was, I was very impressed with the attitude and professionalism of the office staff. Our technician arrived right on time and was great. He was totally professional and took plenty of time to explain options and choices. I would definitely use them again!!

He was very nice and seemed to be very knowledgeable. He did the work in a fair amount of time and everything was fine. He was prompt and came as soon as I called.

The service was very good. A bit pricier than it should have been, but I am happy with the work.

This morning while showering the shower drain started gurgling and the toilets bubbling. The toilets and shower were backed up. I called another Rooter company here in town and waited an hour, called them back and waited another hour. Finally I called Roto-Rooter and 25 minutes later Kevin showed up. He took off his shoes and came inside and diagnosed the problem. Crawled under the house to make sure everything under there looked normal. Finally he uncovered the septic tank and opened the lid. He showed me what appeared to be 12-18" of crusty sludge on top. Shortly after he showed me this, the pumper truck showed up and pumped the tank empty. The driver of the truck, Joseph, explained the problem in the septic tank and went right to work. After the tank was pumped clean they replaced the lid and recovered the septic tank. Kevin and Joseph both gave me some tips on how to keep this from happening again and were on their way. Kevin and Joseph both were VERY professional, friendly and courteous and made the best out of a bad situation. I would recommend Roto-Rooter to ANYONE!

Initially I was not impressed with the company, as I called at 7am and by 11:30 still had not received a call back. When I called to ask if there was an estimate for how long it'd be before someone could call me back, the main office stated that they had no way of contacting the technician they'd given my name/number to. This is fishy to me, honestly. However when the technician called me, he was professional and polite. Two men came and it took a few tries and a few different access points but they were able to successfully remove the drain clog. The cost for the service performed was absolutely reasonable in my opinion. I would use RR again, hesitantly - if only because their main office seems not really put together.

Very prompt call back. It was 7:30pm on a Friday night. The technician was courteous and explained everything in detail.

They fixed our problem. They were friendly and efficient. It didn't take very long. They're pretty quick.

I called them at 4:45 pm. They were able to send us the next technician available and he arrive at 5:20 pm. The regulator was replaced, the water was turned back on, and he was on his way by 6:12 pm. The technician was very knowledgeable and behaved in a professional manner. We are very happy with the level of service we received!

Came out on a Sunday at no additional rate hike. Had to have second truck bring tracked backhoe to dig up septic tank cover. Pumped it out and the only problem was the ruts that the machineleft in the yard and the uneven backfill over the tank. It took me a week to fill them in by hand, since i had to bring in additional dirt to fill in track marks.

The septic tank had been cleaned out two weeks earlier, but the main drain line broke at the clean out and also need some roots removed. haven't had a problem since.

On every occasion, the plumbers have been professional and did a good job. I have no complaints at all except that they are a little bit pricey but I am not sure that the competition is much cheaper. I feel that their quick response to emergencies is much better than many plumbers that I have contacted in the past and I would use them again.

We called Roto Rooter to check out why our toilets had water coming out from under them any time the bathtubs were draining. They set a time to come out and were there on time and the workman was friendly and seemed to know what he was doing. He snaked out the 2 bathtubs, but we still had the problem. He gave us an estimate of $1900.00 to clean out our septic tank and add a cleanout valve. We thought this was too expensive, so we got another estimate and got our tank cleaned out for $425.00.

They came out and supposedly fixed the drain. Five weeks later it happened again. They are supposed to have a 90 day guarantee on their work, but when they came back out they charged me again. They said that the second charge was for a different service but it was the same problem as before. The second time they came, they also said that there were roots in the pipe and they showed us the evidence. They gave an estimate of 1400 to dig up the pipes 3-4 feet from the house and fix the issue. I hired someone on my own to do the work and we didn't find any issues. I hired another plumber who had a camera and he came out and found the problem was about 50 feet from where Roto Rooter thought it was. The second plumber also found out that I had a plumbing problem near the street but they let me know that it was a city issue. They contacted the city and they are helping me to get the issue resolved. It also bothered me that the employees at Roto Rooter are on commission.

I like them because they are a national company and the people we have dealt with have been really nice. They will come out and do a small project; so that is nice. They have always done a good job for us and are fairly quick. I will use them again in the future.

Job was done in one day. The worker were very nice and professional.

He did a great job, he had the correct piece of equipment and was cheaper then who we usually use. He also a 90 day warranty on his work.

My septic tank (in the front yard) appeared to be overflowing....as water was standing in the yard near the tank. I called another company initially in the Huntsville area....and was told I didn't need to get my tank pumped out....because if water was visible on the ground around the tank....that I needed to contact the Health Dept and get someone out to dig up and replace my drain field lines. I decided to get Roto-Rooter to take a look at the tank and determine what course of action should be taken to address the problem. I made the service appointment through the Roto-Rooter website....and it worked perfectly. The Roto-Rooter technicians (Glenn and Anthony) were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The Roto-Rooter techs brought an excavator to my house and dug down (several feet) to access my septic tank. Then they pumped out the tank and inspected the water flow and header pipe. If there was an issue with the drain field lines....it would have most likely been a broken header pipe (as the techs explained). The header pipe turned out to be just fine....and all that needed to be done was to simply pump/clean the tank. The Huntsville area recently received a large amount of rain.....and the techs explained that the drain field was saturated with rain water....which pushed the already full septic tank over the edge. Would definitely recommend the Huntsville Area Roto-Rooter folks.

They were prompt and professional. They seemed to be cheaper than others. I will continue to use them in future.

We were satisfied with the work that they came out and did for us. They charged us about $60. I would recommend them. They are prompt, courteous and do a complete job. Overall, they were good and their price was fair.

This is the 2nd time I have used Roto Rooter of Huntsville and this experience was better than my original experience. the plumber they sent was Victor Velazquez and he was timely, accurate with estimate, friendly and professional. Highly recommend this gentleman for any service you may have.

They did what I asked them to do. They overcharged me. When they came out the first time, they didn’t show up on time. I had to call them back twice. The job shouldn’t have been more than $50 or $60, but they charged me $109. There weren’t any parts or anything. They were not responsive. I had to drive all the way to Tennessee to meet them which caused quite a bit of problem for me. The job that the guy did was adequate, but the price was exorbitant. He was professional. I wouldn’t use them if had another choice.

Roto-Rooter has always been very responsive when I have had a minor plumbing issue. This time, it turned out to be a bigger plumbing issue... We had a drain pipe (sewer) to break underneath the concrete slab of our house. Water would leak out into the garage when a faucet or shower was used inside the house. It is an older home, and the section of pipe had enough corrosion that it finally broke/leaked. Anthony and Victor went above and beyond in taking care of this problem. They worked very hard to find the leak, replace the pipe, and restore everything back to working condition. They used a camera to go inside the pipe to locate the leaking section. Then, they had to use a concrete saw and a jack hammer to get to the broken pipe. After replacing the broken cast iron pipe with a section of PVC, they poured concrete to fill-in the hole they had to cut in our garage.

Requested a job estimate on 9/9/2010 to be performed on 9/17/2010. It was agreed upon. On 9/17/2010, no body showed up or called for the estimate. Called them back on 9/20/2010 and requested to know why no body showed up to do the estimate. Was told that George was the person to talk to and they'd have him call me back. As of 9/25/2010, I've not heard a word from them.

They came out and repaired the lines. They showed me with a camera that roots had grown into the line. They cleaned up everything and all is working well.
