+ 0 moreRip is a great guy and very detail oriented. His contract is straightforward and easy to understand. He does excellent work and I will use him again. He worked with us and our changing design. (at no extra cost.) He also had to redo the rails at our request because we wanted to have 42" high rails (code calls for 36" high) due to the fact the deck is 10ft off the ground. This was an added cost due to materials and labor. My only complaint is that the job took longer than estimated. Time was not really an issue with this job so it didn't matter.
Description of Work: Rip and his crew (two other workers) built a 400 sq.ft. deck (pressure treated lumber - MCQ) connected to the back of my house. The deck design was to span the width of the driveway (20ft) without having any support poles in the middle. The deck also serves as a carport because we drive under the deck to get to the garage. The deck is attached to the house on two sides. (back side and garage side of a L shaped house). We also wanted a landing attached to the deck with stairs leading down to the ground. Rip also removed 3 windows in the living room and installed 3 doors to the deck. (2 static and 1 that opens).
