Keith was very punctual and courteous

We arrived at the home we want to buy 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time and Keith was already set up with his ladders and on the roof inspecting the fascia boards, shingles, and chimney. He had contacted our realtor who was running a few minutes late, and so he had already arrived sufficiently early to check around the accessible parts of the outside of the home. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We asked him what he had found so far and he was honest with us and told us his concerns and what not to be too concerned about. Over the next two hours he thoroughly inspected every part of the house and attic. He had professional grade equipment that even impressed the real estate appraiser who came by during the inspection to conduct her appraisal. He took a lot of time to talk with us about the home and how we could conduct some of our own home repairs to parts of the house that needed some TLC but weren't a safety concern. As promised, he delivered a very thorough inspection report to our email later that evening that included a comprehensive inspection of the home with photos and recommendations. We are positive he found things that even the homeowners would not have known about before. We would recommend Keith to anyone needing a home inspection. He really understands and can tell the differences between good construction and cheap quick fixes meant to look like quality but are destined to fall apart. Keith really helps you to and quot;know a homeand quot; you're thinking about purchasing and doesn't cut any corners during his evaluation or report. We had an excellent experience overall, and he's a really nice guy!

First, Keith has a good deal of experience in the Home Inspection area. His certification number with ASHI is rather low, in the mid-triple digit area (in comparison, new certificates are numbering into the 3,000 range). He also has a side business of minor home repairs (which he emphatically says he cannot and will not do any work for you due to conflict of interest/ethics concerns), so this gives him some current perspectives on what he's looking at and for. He got there early and started right in. At various times, he explained several aspects of the home, both good and some concerns including one marginal code issue (turned out VA wouldn't release the appraisal until that issue was fixed). His inspection included a thermal imaging look at some of the known and suspected problem areas. This imaging pointed out a water leak issue from the roof that wasn't very noticeable visually. The thermal imaging gave an idea of the scope of the problem. In addition, he did the Radon test and confirmed that we're in good shape there. (Radon test is a 48 hour electronic, periodic sampling of the air quality with the results plotted on a time period graph so you can relate the time of day with any increases.) All-in-all, well worth the time and money. I would recommend Keith for a home inspection prior to buying a home.

It went well. He was very thorough and we were impressed with his knowledge. We had to do some work on the house before we put it on the market. He was friendly.

Keith showed up for our 9:00 a.m. appointment at 8:15 a.m. and began his inspection of the roof. After that was complete he conducted a through inspection of each room, attic, and crawl space. Photos were taken to visually document areas of concern and included in an 18 page written report which I received within about one hour after the inspection was completed. Keith displayed a perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness in answering my questions.

I showed up to the build site a few minutes ahead of my appointment with Keith, and I was pleasantly surprised to see him already hard at work. He is very personable, and we chatted for a few minutes. I mentioned the option listed on the Pride Home Inspections web site, regarding a follow-up verification that all inspection items have been completed properly. Since there is an additional fee for this service, Keith answered that he would be willing, but it would probably be unnecessary since his report would be clear enough for a layman to decide whether or not corrections were acceptable. I appreciated his candor. I gave him some space to work, but he was sure to call me over whenever he found something that he felt required my attention. Keith entertained my questions, which was greatly appreciated, since this is my first home purchase. He answered my concerns in terms that I could understand, going into greater detail when necessary. Throughout the process, he also pointed out features where he felt the builder went above and beyond. This bestowed confidence in me, knowing that any shortcomings I observed during the build process were balanced out by some bells and whistles. Even though the inspection was concluded late in the afternoon, he assured me that the report would be completed that evening. He followed through as promised and delivered a comprehensive inspection report, complete with annotated images for each issue he found. This was particularly helpful over the next week or so, as the builder's superintendent incorporated Keith's findings with the results of our initial walk-through. Keith's expertise contributed to the positive experience that concluded with my wife and I closing on our first home. Thank you!

Keith inspected 3 homes for us. We were trying to buy a home and downsize. The first home had aluminum wiring, he told us 75% of customers would walk away. We did after we were educated on this type of wiring. He found another problem in the second home. We walked away after getting opinions from experts in that field. The final home inspection was great. The sellers fixed everything on the list of repairs. He said we had found a great house. I liked that he was honest , on time, and was very detailed on his inspection. He does a good job of representing the buyer. I used him 3 times and would use him again. He also reinspects for completion of repairs for a small charge. (You would be surprised how often things were listed as repaired, and no repair was done).
