Description of Work: Premier Surfaces in Chattanooga installed granite countertops in our kitchen. This was a fairly exotic granite picked out at their warehouse and they had a lot to choose from. The installers did a very good job overall and the seams are very tight. The only complaint I would have is that they cut the cutout for our cooktop after the granite was placed in the kitchen. The dust was horrendous and we still have issues with 3 drawer runners below the cooktop due to the dust. In the installers defense, they warned us of the dust but they could not cut the large piece of stone outside and get it transported inside w/o breaking it. I still don't understand why the guy that took measurements could not have had it cut at the shop. The cutout for the sink was done in the shop and looks great. I would definitely use them again but I would make sure there was no cutting done inside the house.

The people were very friendly, helpful and profesional from the greeting at the entrance to the store to the finish of the job. The workers were very careful to remove the old quartz countertop without damage to the backsplash. The new countertops look fantastic. I would definitely use Premier Surfaces again. I will recommend this company to me family and friends.

+ 0 moreWe first met with Clayton at the Premier Surfaces showroom (we were recommended to this company by a friend who had used them previously for a kitchen countertop/granite job), and she was punctual, well put-together, and very bubbly. She knew her countertops, answering all of our questions in detail and interjecting her design recommendations as well, based on her experience. We especially appreciated that part! She patiently walked us through different options, discussing color and 'texture', and then took us around the showroom. We looked at different granite slabs, carrying around a kitchen drawer (so we could see the cabinet color against the granite slabs), and Clayton was very very patient with us as we went back and forth before finally choosing a gorgeous slab of dark granite with blue undertones. Clayton was amazing about communicating with us every step of the way, and working with us to stage the demolition and installation on different days (we were also trying to redo the rest of the kitchen at the same time, and had to work with different companies to get the appliances all installed around the granite installation). I could not rave enough about how amazing Clayton was given our scheduling difficulties!! The end result is a VERY gorgeous kitchen that we love! The granite is gorgeous, the edges of the slabs meet up well, and the aesthetic result is stunning. We are glad we found this company via our friend's recommendation, and we would definitely recommend them to others!
Description of Work: We had a new granite counter top installed in the kitchen of our newly purchased home. We had met with several granite/countertop companies and received quotes before deciding on Premier Surfaces. This company was not the cheapest (part of that is due to the granite slab we chose) but we felt very comfortable working with Clayton, who was a joy to work with on this otherwise very stressful project. We spent a total of 6K including the granite, sink, demolition and disposal of our old countertop and installation of the new countertop and sink. This price did not include plumbing hookup after installation. Clayton was wonderful every step of the way, and I strongly recommend this company, and specifically her! The result was gorgeous and we are very very happy with our new kitchen.

My countertops were measured and a template made prior to installation, so that on the the day of installation, the installers took less than 30 minutes to place and secure the new countertops. Everyone was friendly, responsive, and prompt during the process. I highly recommend Amy Roughton as your sales associate if you visit the showroom.

+ 0 moreThere are no DON"TS with this company. We went to their showroom and picked 3 different granites that would work for our bathroom remodel. They were there to help us with researching availability and price and even suggested decreasing the price by looking at possible remnants that might be available from other job sites. They were able to get this information to us within a few days which resulted in the price being half of what it would have been if we had special ordered our own granite. Make sure you have your color samples with you and have as precise of measurements of what you need before you go in. They will send someone out to do the special measurements, but if looking for remnants, it helps to have a pretty close idea of how much you will need.
Description of Work: Premier Services provided exceptional service to us when we were buying granite countertops for our bathroom remodel. They reviewed our choices for granite and then helped us find the most affordable price by researching the availability of remnants. The delivery of the granite was right on time and the insulation flawless. We would definitely use them again.

Only thing I did not like was the gap between one of the end walls was too large between the granite and the wall in my opinion. When I questioned it, they advised me that it was normal, but I saw other installations that did not have as big a gab.

+ -1 moreOur overall experience was outstanding. I would recommend Premier to anyone. If you are trying to do some remodeling without spending more than necessary these are your people. We are selling our house and tried to make choices that would help us update our house but not be overly expensive. The fact that we could choose from remnants left over from other jobs was a big help. Having experienced installers was the best part. From the moment that the first crew came to look at our situation, install the under mount sink and measure for the other vanities, I never worried for one minute that everything was not going to go according to plan.
Description of Work: We are selling our house and our agent suggested that we replace the vanity tops in two baths and a half bath. We also wanted to replace a kitchen sink and needed someone to do the replacement since it was an under mount sink. We bought the new sink from Plumbing Distributors (PDI) because we could get the same sink in an up to date look and we would not be required to cut the granite or replace it. As I learned, not every plumber can replace an under mount sink nor do they want to. We asked PDI if they could recommend someone to do the under mount. They recommended Premier because Premier does all the installations for PDI's showroom. When Premier got here to install the kitchen sink that we had bought from PDI, they recommended that we not replace the old sink with the new one since there was a better than even chance that we would have to replace the granite counter tops in the kitchen also. They could not guarantee that the counter tops would not break during the removal of the old under mounted sink since the tops were old and had fissures in them. They did not try to sell us new counter tops for the kitchen. While they were here, they measured for the vanities upstairs and we discussed replacing the vanity top in the half bath. After a discussion, they strongly suggested that we not replace the half bath vanity since removing the current top, might damage the mirror that rested on it. Later I received an estimate from Leslie Coe for the vanities to be installed. . It was a very fair price on first run materials. I asked her if they had remnants of granite that we might choose from that would lower the price and she said that they did. We went to their shop and she helped us find in their "bone" yard pieces of granite left over from other jobs that would work in the areas that we needed and would lowered the cost. The guys came this week and installed three counter tops. They were great!!!!!!!!!! and as a bonus, they helped us polish a couple of spots in the kitchen granite. I will always do business with this company. They are true professionals and they do not try to get you to buy more than you need or want.

+ 0 moreThey are wonderful. The two installers knew exactly what they were doing. They had to cut some of the granite for the stovetop which created powder. I happened to mention to them that my wife was recovering from pneumonia and these guys went out of their way to make sure that no dust got in the house. They built tents and they had vacuums. I was impressed that they went to the steps they did. The installers were wonderful.

+ 1 morePremier Surfaces has a nice showroom and a warehouse full of new slabs and partial slabs to choose from. You can see where they cut and polish the stone themselves, no third party involved. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. You will pay half up front and pay the remaining half after the job is complete. I payed the fee to have them do all the measuring. They came to the house within a week on all three purchases to make the measurements. The week following the measurements, they return with the counter top to install it. They removed the old counter top and back splash. Unlike the hole for the sink, the hole for the cooking top is not cut at the factory, thus it is cut on site, in the kitchen. They made a makeshift hood around the work area from plastic which routed the stone dust out the kitchen window. They had to glue the two sections together and glue the aluminum sink under the counter top. This all went very well. The sink is centered correctly and the seam between the two sections is perfectly matched, only noticed if pointed out. All was cleaned and no damage was done to anything in the kitchen. The large bathroom counter top was custom cut to ensure a perfect fit within the uneven walls. It looks absolutely fantastic. The small bathroom counter top needed some minor additional cuts to fit properly. Each had a ceramic bowl glued underneath the sink cutout, centered perfectly. All installations were completed in a professional manner. They arrived on time and did not rush to complete the job. You may find a lower cost shop, but it will be hard to find a shop to match the quality of product, quality of installation, and professionalism of the folks at Premier Surfaces.
Description of Work: I had Premier Services install a granite kitchen counter top with an aluminum sink (that was purchased separately) last year, 2010. Based on their performance, I had them install a bathroom counter top and sink also in 2010. Another counter top and sink was installed in a smaller bathroom in 2011, which reflects the approximate price and date supplied for this review. The kitchen counter top installed is "L" shaped, requiring cutouts for the sink, faucet, and cooking top. It was large enough to require the top to be cut into two sections. The larger bathroom counter top was a long rectangle with a single large sink bowl on one end. The back wall in this bathroom was not square, thus one end of the counter top needed to gradually get wider than the other end. The smaller bathroom required a more conventional counter top with a single small sink bowl in the center cut out. Both bathrooms had back splashes matching the counter top installed against all adjoining walls.

+ 1 moreI went for a consultation and to pick out granite and was met by a friendly and knowledgable staff. My consultant took the time to explain all the types of granite and helped me select the right granite for my kitchen and bath. He provided price quotes on the spot and explained all my options including granite thickness and bevel. When I finally made a decision about which pieces of granite I wanted, he got the process rolling and explained a turn- around time of about 3-5 days, which was accurate. Once I had my cabinets installed, Premier sent a team of very professional consultants to measure for the granite slabs. They used a special flexible plastic that the rolled out over the cabinet bases and they made accurate cuts so as to create a perfect template for the granite. They also gave a good consultation on where the seams would be the least noticable. After the measuring, I went back to Premier to decide on the placement of the templates on the granite. This was an important part of the process because it is important to cut the pieces of the granite so that the "movement" matches across seams. They layed the templates on the granite and helped me move them around until we got a nice placement. They called me 2 days later saying they were ready to deliver whenever I was ready. A new team of very professional installers came out (on time) and began the intallation process. They had to make a cut for the stove top and did it on the spot (although it was very loud!). They finished installing the kitchen granite and the master bathroom granite in under 2 hours and then cleaned up and left. The installers were nice and very professional and fun to work with. The installation is beautiful, and I have difficulty finding the seams, even when I run my hand over them. I would buy a random piece of granite just to work with this company again. They were awesome, awesome, awesome!

From small jobs to larger ones - they have always offered VERY friendly and professional assistance in their front office and the final product has always met/exceeded our expectations. Their biggest "plus" is that they actually do what they promise to do - that is rare in so many service providers that we meet. We initially looked at buying granite from one of the big hardware stores in our area - but the price was just crazy! Premier provided MUCH better pricing, great friendly service and very good quality. Nothing seems to be too much for them - they offer a great service and an eye for detail. Happy to recommend these guys - anytime!

I had to keep pushing my installation back because of my cabinet installation, however Premier Surfaces was "on call" for me when I was ready for them to show up. All installers were friendly to work with, quick, and very professional. The salesperson was also very helpful and cooperative. He was able to recommend the right cuts and bevels to fit with my kitchen design. Overall, I give this company an A++ and would gladly recommend them to anyone.

The way they installed the undermount stainless sink was more durable than others I've seen. They assumed that I knew what I was getting into when I bought a granite countertop. The quality of the work was OK. They were responsive. I called them back out to look at some places that appeared to damaged. They were nice and they came when they said they would.
