Paul Bunyan Tree Service

He and his crew showed up at the time they said they would and quickly went to work. And had the work done in what seemed like no time. They did a great job mitigated any damage to the landscaping we had. They were great!

It required four days with three workers and a bucket rruck. Limbs were roped, sawed off from the bucket truck then lowered to the ground. Very safe and professional means of taking down a large tree close to buildings. It went very well with no dangerous incidents, but was plainly difficult, dangerous and tedious. I have used Paul in the past, and will use him in the future and would strongly recommend him to anyone asking about tree service.

The second removal was next to a large deck within a fenced yard. They removed the tree in stages without any damage to any near by structures. The cleaned up the area well and removed all debris. I had them also remove the stump and did a very good job on that. I asked to keep the chips for other use which they piled up in the back of the fence for me. Since the job was done so well I had them cut dead branches on all of the trees in the back yard and they did a very good job.

This is the second time I've used Paul Bunyan's to take trees down in our back yard. I was provided a quote a month or so prior to scheduling the work and they kept in touch routinely as we set out to budget the job. As usual, they showed up on time and got right to work. They had all of the necessary equipment and people to do the job and they tackled the biggest of the three first. They worked diligently and quickly over several days to bring down all three trees very quickly. What I considered the most difficult tree to bring down was actually the easiest for them. We had a 35+ foot pine tree about 12 feet from our pool and directly on our property line. Much of the tree hung over into our neighbors yard and I was skeptical that they could do it without some sort of incidental damage or without putting a ton of debris in the pool. They had all of the limbs off of it and topped it within 45 minutes of starting, and the entire tree was down within an hour. I pulled a few small twigs out of the pool and some saw dust, but that was it. Not a single limb ended up in our neighbors yard. There was some damage done to our fence during the job but we discussed adequate compensation for the damage. The fence was quite close to the 50 foot oak tree so it was understandable to me that something like that could happen. Paul made it very clear that he would take care of it as soon as it happened so it wasn't an issue in my mind. They came in on budget, on time, and the job was done as I asked it to be. They cleared the limbs and leaves, didn't leave a mess, and inspected all of the yard prior to leaving. I would use them again for any trees I need taken down or trimmed, and I use they regularly for firewood. Their prices are very, very reasonable for both.

I have used Paul Bunyan in the past for 4-5 jobs. You call them and they show up on time give you an estimate and then you schedule a date. They come do the job and clean up nicely. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Clean, simple and economical. Couldn't ask for more.

2 trees were difficult to get to because of proximity to house. They did a great job getting them down without damaging anything, they were on time , the estimate was very reasonable and they cleaned up the mess. Would highly recommend.

Paul came out to give me an estimate on a large tree I needed cut back. We did not ever meet face to face but he did return my call and stated that the tree I have is to large for his crew to handle. It is a large tree and he does not have the equipment, I thanked him for coming over and looking.

I needed to have four trees removed from my property, two of which were quite large and near the house and in difficult locations. One of the trees was immediately adjacent to a cedar tree which I wanted to keep and also in the vicinity of a number of other plants, shrubs, etc. The trees were removed promptly with negligible impact on the rest of the yard. The work was very professional and and within reasonable cost.

Had received an impossible estimate for the removal of this oak from a company we had hired previously, and sought additional estimates. Paul arrived promptly for the estimate and stated that with a little creative thinking from his crew he could handle the oak and juniper. They arrived on time and ready to work. The cutter went up the tree and with carefully layed ropes and cuts brought down the larger top branches. These were cutup and what wasn't scredded went into the back of the truck. The main trunk was then roped away of the house, and the lines tightened with winches. Cuts were made on the main trunk, and the tree was continuously winched to maintain tension. The tree feel without touching another tree in the forested area. The juniper was cut and completely shredded. The area was completely cleaned, and Paul and his two man crew left before noon. A great days work!

I can cut down trees myself and have many times but these 4 trees were leaning so that I couldn't prevent their fall from causing damage. I got an estimate that was VERY high and then called these guys who completed the job in a fraction of the time and cost of the first estimate. I was very surprised and how quickly they came and went and didn't leave a mess.

They were quick to respond, did the job correctly, cleaned up after themselves, did the job quickly, and the price was reasonable. The price wasn't cheap but we got what we paid for.

The Paul Bunyan crew worked quickly to do the job promised. We needed a tree removed and some broken branches taken out and we did not want heavy equipment in the yard. They did use spikes for climbing up into the larger trees to get to the broken limbs. We were pleased with their work.

I was happy with the work and everything went well. The service was very nice.

They were prompt and efficient. Got the quote on Friday and the tree was gone on Monday. Topping then felling the tree left large divots and a significant trench in my back yard. It's not their fault but I didn't know tree removal would be so h****** the yard. Clean up could have been a little better. I found cigarette butts in the yard but I have seen that with other tree companies, too. And like another tree company, they broke the edging on my garden. It is not a big deal but I wish they would have pointed it out so I didn't have to discover it after they left. That said, I would use them again.

He was very good and very capable. We live on four acres and have a lot of big trees, which are difficult to work with. The price is very good. He cuts up trees that are already down. We have used him a couple of times a year for the past 20 years. I recommend him very highly. He is very fast and pleasant to be around. He is very adaptable to working. I have no negatives to his work or his price. He is very competitive in price. He is on time and comes on schedule. He is very available.

They were available when we needed to have the work done. They did a fine job. It wasn't perfect but the trees aren't there anymore.

They were reasonably priced and did a really good job. I will continue to use them.

Came out and gave us an estimate. Came back (when the rain stopped) and performed work. The cost was the exact amount of the estimate - no hidden charges. Very pleased with the work and personnel.

The quote provided was the best, by far, and their work was very professional and exactly what I paid for. In fact, they removed a sickly tree that couldn't be saved at no charge. The weather kept them from getting started on the date I asked, but that certainly wasn't their fault. I received a reminder call prior to the date they were to start and every day prior to the date they actually could start due to the weather. They arrived on the first day that the weather allowed, at 9:00am, and went right to work. They had all of the necessary equipment and crew and they worked on the big tree for the entire day. I was concerned about the concrete deck around my pool and was quite impressed that they were able to do everything they had to do in such a small area. The big tree took the better part of the day, so they left their chipper truck and equipment trailer parked in front of our house and returned first thing the next day to complete the job. They removed the remaining two trees quickly and efficiently and were gone before 10:30am. I also asked for and received quotes to remove another very large oak tree, a very large pine tree, a near dead maple tree, and several small trees along the fence in our back yard. I will absolutely use Paul Bunyan again. They were fantastic.

Left message for call. They called back later that day and set up estimate appointment for 9am Saturday. They were there at 8:55 am. For service, they arrived 1/2 early. 90 minutes later all work was completed, including cleanup. Great service (always a little early). Great price. We'll use them again.

Paul Bunyan tree service returned our call the next day and set up an appointment for an estimate. They came promptly to do the work and were very professional. The area where they had to put the second large tree down was about 15 feet wide. Paul hit the mark with 14 feet to spare. Very impressive work. J. Adams, Madison, AL

Overall, I had a bad experience trying to hire this company.

Overall I was terribly disappointed. Rainy weather caused delays, however the company was not responsive. They did not call to say they were not coming. They were one day delayed on coming to give the estimate and I only knew they were going to come the following day because I called them to see where they were. Paul came and gave a good estimate and seemed to know his business, so I was excited to have them do the work. The day they were scheduled to come it rained and they never called. I figured the next day they would be here-it was sunny--no show and no call. I called them leaving a message and got a call back and a reschedule. Again they were a no show due to weather. Although if they had come on time as scheduled they could have done the work as it didn't rain at my house that morning. I have now called another company and they will do the work. I think perhaps another review may be correct that trimming rrees is not top priority to this company. I am disappointed in a company that appears so highly rated.
