 + 0 moreSystem was found to be low on coolant, with a probable slow leak. Coolant was added to make system functional temporarily (possibly for the whole cooling season). Mr. Lawles will return at a later date to find the leak and replace the malfunctioning component. I have not received an invoice yet.
Description of Work: A/C was not cooling. Needed to check coolant and add as necessary.

 + 0 moreThe joy went fantastic. It took them a couple of weeks to get to my seasonal maintenance but it was within a reasonable timeframe and well before the winter set it in. Price was as agreed upon and warranty claims went very smoothly.
Description of Work: Routine maintenance performed on two heat pumps one of which was installed by Mr.FixIt in 2010. Very pleased with the system they installed and the seasonal maintenance. They proactively identified two worn fan motors and re-installed new ones, thereby preventing worse damage to both systems during the heating months of the middle of winter.

 + 0 moreThe line lasted about a weeks and leaked again. They admitted they used the wrong connection on the pvc pipe. They are very nice people my family have used them a lot in the past. The price is always expensive. I just wish they would take the time to do it correct the first time.

 + -1 moreThings he has done for us... Repaired soft water machine. Fixed a malfunctioning heat pump that the original installer could not. He is now our official warranty agent for the unit. Installed sump pump in crawl space to correct a standing water problem. This was an extensive operation. Installed heat and exhaust fan in bathroom. Installed hanging lamp in room. Fixed leaking faucets. Rehung outside security light. Mr. Lawles is the best repairman I have ever encountered.
Description of Work: Bobby Lawles can do almost everything in and around the house. We started out having him repair a soft water machine, and have used him for so many repairs and installations for the last four years. He, and his associates, are certified in so many areas. If he cannot repair something, he will recommend someone totally competent who can.

Description of Work: Bobby Lawles is a true gem. He, his sons, and his crew are the most professional contractors I have ever encountered. They can fix almost anything, and if they can't, Bobby will recommend someone that is also professional and competent. He has fixed our soft water machine, installed a heater/exhaust fan, put a sump pump in the crawl space, and repaired a heat pump problem that stumped one of the best air conditioning companies in town. The heat pump malfunction was mysterious, yet Bobby kept at it until it was fixed. He was out here at all hours. His son spent over two hours in freezing cold at night to finally see the intermittent problem happen. The other company would only respond during normal working hours, and never were able to see the machine malfunction. Bobby now is my warranty service contractor for the unit. He is even attempting to get the manufacturer to reimburse me for excess heating charges. Can't say enough about this excellent organization.

 + 0 moreI called, he was underneath a house, said he would call back in 10 minutes. I waited then called again 30 minutes later. He apologized for forgetting. I told him I would be at home at 5:00 p.m. he arrived at 5:40 p.m., I left the garage open and left for class, when I returned at 7:30 p.m., bulbs were replaced. He was calm, had a sense of humour and had solid priorities (he wasn't dressed like a male model or advertising photo shoot), but was dressed comfortably and cool for a very hot day. He returned at about 8:00 p.m. and I paid him. He disposed of the bad bulb in my trash and was pleasant.
Description of Work: Replaced flourescent light bulbs in garage. There were 4 eight foot long.
