Description of Work: The Angie's list deal was for 4 new recessed lights with dimmer switch. They did the work as scheduled. They were careful to make as little mess as possible and cleaned up after. The lights look good and work as they should. I think this deal was a great value and having had them do this work for me, I will call them for anymore electrical work I may need.

Description of Work: They installed a new fluorescent light fixture in the laundry room; it was involved and they did a great job. They also capped two electric wires that were uncovered in the attic professionally. They also unhooked a switch that should not be used and put a new plate over it. I was very impressed that they had all the parts with them, performed the work quickly, and did a great job.

Description of Work: I bought a package that was for adding an exterior outlet. I wanted to apply that towards tying my LED lighting transformer to a closeby exiting outlet, which should be cheaper. However Mr. Sparky would not apply any part of the Angie's List package towards that. They are within their rights to do that, but I don't want to do business with someone as rigid as that and will just burn the package rather than deal with them. I'd prefer to do business with someone more flexible that works with you.

Description of Work: At no fault of this company, as I was impressed with his knowledge and know you can rely on this company. I did not do it only because I paid $2100 for an 11K NG backup house gen and the installation from them and homedepot 4K. We could not justify at 200% markup to work 3/4 of the day, that is way way too much an hour. BTW of that 4K 1K was for the gas line dude to run a line 15 feet right off the meter. Incredulous. I will use them when I have reasonable priced problems

Description of Work: Purchased the Big Deal whole house electrical inspection. The electrician did a fairly thorough inspection lasting about an hour. He recommended installing a new service panel which I asked for a quote on. I never received a quote on this because he was unsure what code would allow for in connecting the panel to the meter on the other side of the house. I did get a free estimate for the installation of a bathroom fan which I had them install at a later date. Overall, I was satisfied with the services they performed.

Description of Work: The Mr. Sparky representative was professional and gave me encouraging information about the condition of my wiring, etc. Since I was not ordering a service in the near future, he did not leave a proposal. |The main thing that he told me is that my house should (by code) have 4 fire alarms, one in each bedroom and one in the hall outside each bedroom. My house is approximately 1,500 square feet so I am somewhat suspicious of the several thousands of dollars that the project would cost. I plan to do some research on these requirements.

Description of Work: Inspection of home electrical system. Checked for any problems such as incorrectly installed or damaged wiring and outlets, checked circuit breaker box, etc. Fixed minor problems such as loose electrical outlets. Recommended fixes for larger problems found (e.g., crawlspace sump pump wiring problem) and provided cost estimate for those repairs. Overall it went very well. The electrician was knowledgeable, friendly, clean-cut, and professional.

Description of Work: The contractor arrived at the agreed upon time. We quickly took a tour of the house. The provider then questioned me about the experience I've had since living in this house. I ran down a few items of concern and then he went to work. The provider began inspecting the system at the power panel. He was focused and complete with the inspection as he continued to evaluate my electrical system. He identified a few problems with loose connections and also made sure the specific circuits were identified at the power panel. He finished with a report of what he found and then quoted a few projects I identified as things I would like to have done in the future.
